Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends.

I'm a pall bearer in my Aunt Dot's funeral this morning. She was a wonderful lady who gave invaluable emotional support to my mom after my daddy passed away. She was always a lot of fun, and we even took her on vacation with us sometimes. We'll really miss her.

Good morning everyone!!! I don't have a whole lot on the agenda for today or for this week really. Mom gets her foot operated on again three weeks from today so most of the time between now and then will be spent getting everything ready. I think that I am going to make up some meals and throw them in the freezer for the first couple of days after she has surgery. I also need to get her walker out of the attic and put it back together. We also learned last time that she needs hand rails in the bathroom so I need to go get a couple and put them up. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well It looks like I get to babysit tonight. Both of my nieces have been sick and grumpy the last couple of days so hopefully they will be good tonight. My sister wants to go look for a new laptop and I told her that I would go pick one out for her but she would rather get away from the kids and look for herself.

HA! HA! Being a mother myself your sister is playing her cards right by her looking for a new computer and not having you do it...*L* Smart girl she is!cheesy

my computer is working right again!
Someone downloaded something nasty and it really made a mess of stuff, not letting us run anything and popping up constantly. Finally got my antivirus to knock it out!

My nieces were really good tonight. Every time I talked to my sister today one of them was screaming in the background so I thought it was going to be rough but they were both on their best behavior. They were both endless pits tonight and all they wanted to do was eat. I took that as a sign that they were feeling better. We played games, watched dora, and made a cake. I had them for about 4 hours until mom came home and then she watched them while I ran to the grocery store and got ice cream. I decided I would get them all hyped up on sugar before I sent them home. I think we all had a good time.

Yes my five year old niece isn't to bad but the the youngest at 21 months is a handful. Her favorite game is to run away from you and throw things so you have to go pick them up.

LOL, I find that kids are always better behaved with other people (be it family or friends) than with their own parents! My nieces and nephew are always very good for me...leaving my sister to shake her head in amazement!

Regarding the olympics, what a pity about Sven Kramer's (Netherlands speed skater) disqualification! He would have had the gold were it not for his coach's mistake and his own doubts...Oh the poor man...Well, at least he has one gold medal to take home. But, my goodness...

I just got a call from my daughter. My 6 month old granddaughter is at the hospital. She was running a fever last night and they were unable to bring it down. They took her to the ER at 2 am and they are still having trouble bringing down her fever there and here it is almost 8:00 am. Kids and babies worry me so much when they are sick. Especially with babies when they cannot tell you what is wrong. Please say a prayer.
