Good Morning, Folks.

Well, Well, Well!
Looked out the window when I woke up this morning (Yes, Bing, sometimes I do actually wake up) and all was green. Took a shower and when I got out, the trees and grass were covered in snow!
(Of couse, with the recent warm temps, it's another foliage-only snow with nothing on the roads and sidewalks.)
Can't recall the last time we had 3 completely separate snows in the same season!

OK, our downhill-slope-to-the-weekend count:
Days to the Season: 261
Days to Christmas Day:303
UNDER half a week now to our next Milestone, the 300-day window to Christmas.
So, So Close!

We are sitting at 36 currently, so the snow won't last but it sure looks nice!

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everybody!

Sounds like many of us are dealing with sick loved ones. I hope that things are going better for everyone.
My hubby is still dealing with his head cold and has decided to stay home today...he just can't get any sleep (and neither can I, really) due to all the sneezing and nose-blowing and coughing...you know the drill.
I'm going to make a pot of chicken soup today...warm us both up and make us feel better. It's so grey and glum outside today that we both need cheering up!
Let's hope it all passes very soon for everyone and that we're all back to normal asap!!

Big Christmas Hugs to all those under the weather!
I hope he gets better soon!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, it's not as warn here as it is in Tucson. It was 30° and windy this morning, but at least it's not raining!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, everyone!!

It's another soggy day in Ottawa. Temperatures are still around freezing and the snow is thick and wet. Apparently, it was raining for quite some time last night, which washed away whatever we received yesterday. Plenty of rain and snow mix in the forecast until next Monday... or should I say MARCH!?!!! It is quite neat how the last day of February is a milestone on top of being the eve of only 9 months until December!

I'm glad you enjoyed the hockey game, too, Star! What a fantastic showing from Canada!! It's about time they played well against a decent team. They really managed to shut down Russia's biggest threats, which was quite huge because the rest of their players, who mostly play in the KHL, are not used to such physical contact. On to the Semis!!!! On to Slovakia!! What an upset they had over Sweden. But, after all, Slovakia did beat Russia in the preliminary round. It should be a great game on Friday! The USA vs. Finland should also be quite exciting. Hopefully we'll all see a USA vs. Canada final on Sunday!!

Four medals for Canada in the Olympics yesterday. What a great day! All those girls performed incredibly and they should be so proud. It certainly left me smiling from ear-to-ear as I went to sleep last night.

Well, it is Thursday. We're past hump day and heading toward the weekend. I'm hoping that I don't have to work tomorrow but it's up to my boss. I had previously agreed to work on Friday, but the project I was supposed to be working on has been delayed, so I do not believe my services are necessary. We shall see! Hopefully I can just focus on some school work.

Have a great Thursday, everyone!! Both the weekend and March are right around the corner!!

Good Morning,

Woke up to 20 degrees and 4 inches of snow. I know I'm in the minority but I have thoroughly enjoyed this winter. We live on the side of a mountain so we can't drive up to our house in snow. Four wheel drive will get us up but it doesn't help going back down and if we slide off the private road we would roll down the side of the mountain and into a creek. My wife gets tired of walking up but I kinda enjoy it. Sure beats living in a city. cheesy

Hopefully it will be the USA and Canada playing for the gold. I think it may be a repeat of sunday though with the USA coming out on top!!!!!

I too hope it will be Canada and US playing for the gold, that will be a great game! Both teams have played well so far.

As for a repeat of Sunday...your team better watch their backs, us Canadians are merely allowing you to become over confident before we trash you in the final game!! cheesy

Good morning from Tucson, where it is like 50 degrees here before dawn -- giving me the illusion of spring. I'll be back home to winter in Salt Lake tomorrow!

I could go for 50 degrees right now.:-P Hope you have a safe trip home!!!!

WOOHOO only 3 more days until our next milestone!!!!!cheesy

It has been a busy morning here. I woke up and found that the cold water hose to the bathroom faucet was leaking everywhere. I quickly shut the water off and cleaned up the mess. Since it has been replaced twice since I have moved in I decided to skip calling the maintence staff and just go buy one of the braided metal ones myself and put on it. I have also been to 2 grocery stores and I got my haircut. The rest of the day will be spent cleaning the kitchen and looking for new recipes to try. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

you must have a lot of hair to have to go to two stores to get it cut! cheesy
(did not know they cut hair at grocery stores, here we can only buy food)

Our local super walmart actually has a salon in the front of it.cheesy
