Cant believe we are into March already

Wont be long until Christmas in July :

I can't wait. Hobby lobby will start getting their christmas stuff in and QVC and HSN will both have their christmas specials on. That is when I really start getting excitied. cheesy

My mother-in-law cooked supper for the family last night: fresh creamed corn, fresh black-eyed peas, homemade bisquits, thick-cut hickory bacon, chicken & rice, macaroni & cheese...whew! I'm still bloated! We may not have much money, but we eat well!

Well I am out at my sisters house babysitting again. She had to take my brother in law to the doctor because he threw out his back. I will probally be out here for the next couple of hours. I did manage to get some work done this morning before she called me. I will probally do some shopping while I am out this way and then it will be home to watch american idol. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Some good news last night. My mom and her husband were scheduled to go to Cuba this Friday, however plans were up in the air as soon as my mom's husband's mother had her stroke. The hospital did not give her much chance and they asked Bruce (mom's husband) where she would be most comfortable. He brought her back to her nursing home and into paladin care. The nurse there was determined to see if she could eat and/or drink - the hospital said she couldn't swallow. Anyway, she ate a huge thing of pudding and drank a large bottle of water. I'm surprised that she has been somewhat able to come out of it. I thought she was a goner with a stroke and alzheimer's.

Glad to hear that she is recovering!!!!

We're looking forward to a weekend by the fireplace. We are expecting 8-12" of snow Friday night and Saturday and our county is out of money so there will be very little road clearing. We live 14 miles from the nearest town but I would not change a thing. Hopefully we don't lose power. cheesy

It's so beautiful outside and my favourite music is in my ears...i'm counting minutes before I can say that I've become one year older...
I'm looking forward to seeing my presents, but it will happen only in the morning...
Anyway, my friend and me already promised each over to stay children as long as we can (hope we'll keep it))))))

We are ALL still CHILDREN! And some of us are REALLY old--WAY before you were born!!!

MAde..how is your neighbor?

They made the decision today to take her off of life support. My neighor called me this afternoon and wanted me and mom to come up to the hospital. We went up after mom got off of work and said our last goodbyes. We left the hospital about 6pm and they took her off of life support about 7:30. She passed away about a half hour later. I don't envy her husband for having to make that decision but she only had 6% of her brain activity left and there was no chance of her recovering. I know she always said that she didn't want to live like that so it was what she would have wanted. It has been a rough 6 days for her family and in a way I think they are glad that it is over and that they can now move on with the grieving process.
