Santa is on breakfast television this morning!
What a treat to wake up to hear "Santa Claus is coming to town" playing on tv. They are doing the show from cottage country, Gravenhurst Ontario. There is also Santa's Village in Bracebridge which is near there. http://www.santasvillage.ca/
They showed the village and had their pictures taken with Santa and the misses.
:hi:

How fun!!! A great start to a Friday, for sure! :rudolph:

Happy Friday!! I have snapped out of my negative mood, phew! I realize there are far, far worse things than having to stay with family (and we're actually enjoying it) while we're searching for the "perfect" home. So many people in the world are struggling and we're very fortunate, so I have gotten over my pity party!!! :)

Any fun plans this weekend? We are going to a festival in my old neighborhood tomorrow. My husband's work (and many others) design a sculpture/bike to ride through this parade every year and it's really fun. So many creative people! Plus lots of vendors selling beautiful crafts.. should be fun!! Sunday - more house hunting. Feeling more positive that we'll find somehting soon!!!!

Have a great day!!

Hi All, I have tons of posts to catch up on. Last week was my Florida vacation and it went better then I expected. Both of my boys loved the airplane (9 month old slept 1/2 the flight and 3 year old was just amazed).. they both loved the beach, the pool and Disney even more. I was surprised at Disney they let me take my 9 month old on all sorts of rides..it was very exciting! I hope everyone is doing great!

I'm glad to you a great vacation! We leave for Disney two weeks from today!

Well I have to get up early tomorrow to go to my nieces preschool graduation in the morning. They where going to have a picnic at the park afterwords but with strong storms predicted I don't think that is going to happen. It is hard to believe that she is going to be starting kindergarten in a couple of months.
Have fun and hopefully the storms will pass.

I do the same thing when I have my "pity party." I realize my problems, if you can call it that, are so insignificant compared to what goes on in the world.

Sounds like you will be having fun this weekend. Not sure what we will be doing yet.

Top of the Morning, Friends!

Well. Another work week nearly gone.....but the count goes on:
Days to the Season: 176
Days to Christmas Day: 218
Barely over 2 1/2 weeks now to the 200-day window, our next Milestone.

What a nice, calm sunny day outside!
The birds are singing in the trees and there is no hint of the rain to come.
Precip is expected to move in tonight, then stay with us for the next 4 or 5 days.
We currently stand at just under 68.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.
And may your Weekend get off to a Wonderous start later today!

Hi MsChristmas! Glad to hear your kids enjoyed the plane ride. We haven't taken our 7-month-old daughter on an airplane yet. The longest she's been in a car is three hours, and she did well with that. Any tips for taking kids on long car rides or flights? We're taking our daughter on her first big trip in August (a 10-hour car ride to a beach in South Carolina).

Well the flight was only about 2 1/2 hours but of course you have to get to the airport early etc.. and we had to drive about 2 hours to the beach once we landed in Orlando (we stayed in Daytona Beach)... lots of snacks, toys and take little breaks when driving! Have a wonderful time cheesy

Good morning everyone! My Hubby's birthday is tomorrow, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Great reasoning, judesmama! The festival sounds like ti can be lots of fun. Good luck house hunting on Sunday! Hopefully your success will finally come!

Good almost afternoon, everyone!!

I awoke this morning at 11 AM. What a great nine hours of sleep I had!! Once again, the sun is shining here and temperatures are to reach the mid 20s or even 80s this afternoon. The long weekend should be a hot one!! Kim and I are going to see Shrek Ever After tonight! We're both fairly excited. We saw Shrek the Third in theatres and laughed a lot. The final installment should be just as good!!

Not much else going on. I need to get ready to purchase those tickets and some groceries. Have a great Friday, everyone!!

Happy Birthday to your Hubby!!!!!!!!!!!!!:gift:

Well I am home from my nieces graduation. It was a great time watching the kids sing fro everyone and then come up and get their diplomas. They didn't wear gowns but they all had on felt graduation caps. They had donuts and juice before the ceremony and then we all went to the park for a picnic after the ceremony. Luckily the rain held off. Then they had ice cream for everyone to make sundaes. It was a wonderful way to spend a morning. This afternoon I have to make macaroni salad and chocolate eclair cake for the cookout at my sisters house tomorrow.

Donuts and ice cream, all in one morning???? Sounds like my kind of day!!! :)

Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

Today was the last day of school, and they had an assembly with awards. Jacob got an Honor Roll trophy and the English medallion. Elizabeth got an Honor Roll Trophy and a Citizenship medallion (for being the most helpful all year). I so proud of both of them!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

That is great! My daughter always got those awards through elementary school. She got a bit rebellious through middle school but we stayed on top of that until she finally snapped out of it! Lol. She got back to herself in high school and college. My son struggled academically but did get plenty of awards for creativity. He starts college next month and I hope he does well. It is a subject he loves so he should do fine and they have free tutoring everyday after school in case he has any trouble.

Your kids are going to do well with their life since they have started out young with honor roll awards! Congratulations!
