Just finished washing clothes and cooking supper...now it's time for some good ol' coffee....yum! Good day today and going to be even better after tomorrow is over! Bout to continue on reading and will be back later!

Morning, all! We are one day closer to a three day weekend! I can't wait!

Going to be another hot and humid day here.
Not a lot to do except start work on some decorations for a cake coming up next weekend.
Finally had the new window installed in the rec room. They are coming back today to finish that up.

ahh, it's almost memorial day weekend and i am looking forward to having a day off for the holiday!
i can get caught up on organizing my christmas crafts and recipes, and my husband and i may drive up to wisconsin to visit the lake and go to some markets.

MORNING!
Another hot and humid day here, too. We MIGHT get some severe storms this afternoon, but who knows. We're going to my grandmom's today and my uncle is there visiting. Jude loves going there so it should be fun! We are supposed to hear back about the house we put an offer on today.. eek!

Good Morning, my fellow downhill-slope-to-the-weekend Friends!
Yes, the "hump" has been passed and Weekend Eve is tomorrow.
And the count? (Glad you asked, even if you didn't.)
Days to the Season: 170
Days to Christmas Day: 212
Wow! Look how close we are to single digits to the 200-day Christmas Window.
Hard to believe it's not even Summer yet are we are already nearly to the point where both of our counts will be in the 100's!
Sunny and calm here currently but the rain is supposed to start up again this afternoon or evening.
It is 71 degrees outside now.
Well, I knew those noises I heard from my heat pump last winter were an ominous sign. The repairman just left and said my motor bearings are shot and the fan blades are dented. (Just how can heat pump blades get dented, anyway?). Looks like I'll be getting a quote for a new unit shortly.
Oh, well. The old one had a good 25-year run!
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everybody.

The Crowns will be heading for the coast tomorrow afternoon and a volunteer will be needed for the count Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings.

Well just spoke to my mom's physical therapist and said she is doing a great job and are looking to send her home next Thursday.
Our garden is really taken hold. Have several that have already sprouted through the ground at a good pace. Have a few packets of seed that I want to plant this weekend.

We received a very good thunderstorm last night. Kim and I went out for supper - due to it being more than 40C in our apartment - and then did some groceries. As soon as we came out, the wind was swirling and the clouds darkening. We hurried home and then saw some lightning as soon as we sat down on the couch. It was impressive! Quite possibly the most fascinating lightning I have ever seen. It was mostly a mixture of heat and chain lightning, however, it was more bright yellow than any other colour!! I love a good thunderstorm, too, but Kim demanded I close the curtains because she was getting scared.
It's a lot cooler today...in the 70s!
Whew, this is taking longer than I tought! I'm still trying to work my way through Charlotte. How far along are you?
If it's just the condenser fan motor & blade, that's easy, and much cheaper to replace than the entire unit. You might consider a second opinion.

The remodel at home is progressing, our pup came through surgery very well, my tomato plants are blooming, and my mom got back safely from her trip to the mountains. Things are good!

I really wanted to go outside on the balcony, but she would have none of that either. Storms are just fascinating.
Good morning, everyone!!
The humidity has left for a few days. It's currently 22C without any humidex! Coincidentally, it was about 32C and 98C with humidex at this time yesterday. As expected, our summer forecast is to be warmer and drier than normal. Much better than the excessive rain and cooler weather we had last summer.
Not much going on today. Thanks to everyone who supported my new job. I like it. Today, my boss asked me to have a meeting with him to "pick my brain" for a student conference they are running with the Canadian Navy at Durham College this September. Being a student, he was interested in how to get people to attend on a weekend. It was a good discussion.
Apparently the work I was given yesterday - my first day - is difficult yet very important. Quite the thing to be stuck with on my first day of the job. It will probably take a while to complete, so I should really get at it. Thursday is a busy day with the gym and practice right after work. I probably won't return home until 10 PM - and then it will be bed time. Now, I guess I have more of a reason to look forward to the weekend since I am working full time.
212 days until Christmas?! Wow!! Only four more days until June and then we are even closer to the halfway point! Have a great Thursday, everyone!!!
