Oooh, lawnmowers - something I have never dealt with, personally, as I've lived in a city from the time I was 18! My husband has lived in the city his entire life so it should be interesting when we're trying to wrestle with a lawnmower, lol!

Happy Friday!!!! A lot cooler here today - a high of only 70, woo hoo!!! I'll take that over 90 and humid any day of the week. We heard back from the seller of the house we want yesterday and she countered... we countered back with something reasonable (at least we think so!) and our agent is feeling pretty positive. We should find out sometime a bit after noon if she accepts it or not! I am praying!!! If all goes well, we'll be moving July 18, just a month and 5 days before my due date... just in time!!

A FANTASTIC FRIDAY Morning, Friends!
Yes, the Crowns are off to the coast for their first vacation of 2010.
(Of course, it is a working trip for yours truly with always tasks to be done to get the place finalized for our renters who will start arriving in about 3 weeks.)
Regardless, there will still be time for beach walks and nice dinners in the local seafood restaurants (most of which serve some of the sweetest southern iced tea this side of Sacramento!).

And speaking of "count":

Days to Christmas Day: 211
And as can be quickly seen, the 200-day Christmas Day Window Milestone will be SINGLE DIGITS away on the day after tomorrow!
Rain had been a possibility yesterday and last night but none fell.
As a result, we reached 91 degrees yesterday with increasing humidity.
(Remarkably, however, we have had hardly any mosquitoes so far!)
We currently stand at 74 degrees under sunny skies.

Well the rain finally moved in about 7pm last night and me and my neighbor sat on the porch and enjoyed the cooler temps that came along with it. Today is going to be the coolest day of the week at 81. I don't have much planned for today. I need to do some laundry and I have to run to the grocery store. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, everyone!
First, have a safe and enjoyable trip, Crown. I'm sure the beach house and coast will both be wonderful this weekend. What a beautiful morning in Ottawa. Not much heat or humidity. It's a perfect 16C (about 61F). I like it. Temperatures are to reach the mid 20s/70s for the day. Very comfortable. While others are enjoying their long Memorial Day weekend, I will be envious. Of course, we celebrated Victoria Day last weekend, but I already want another long weekend!
A bit of busy work today. Not a whole lot has been thrown at me, which is a good thing. Finishing a few tasks that were given on Wednesday and then I'll see what they have in store. Hopefully I'm working at a fast enough pace. I've always been told that I am a fast worker, so we'll see what they say.
Nice to see that we're almost in single digits until 200! We certainly are slowly creeping upon that 200 day milestone!! Yesterday I came home from practice and Kim was watching a Mall Cops show on TLC. The show focused on Mall Cops at the Mall of America. Normally, I would not have been interested but this episode was about Black Friday. The stores were all decorated in Christmas and they even played some Christmas music in the background. I loved it!! Of course, the visualizations of Christmas decorations was much more enjoyable than anything else.
Well, it is time to get back to work. I want to finish this task by 10:30! Have a great Friday, everyone!!

I never had any trouble with it till I let a neighborhood kid cut my yard with it to make some extra money. He let it slip off the curb next to the road and the concrete damaged a pulley underneath. But, yeah, I still paid him.
The moral, I guess, is "no good deed goes unpunished". cheesy

Goodmorning Everyone! Im getting off of work early in less then 2 hours and I wont be back to this place until Tuesday morning cheesy!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and for us US members have a nice long safe Holiday weekend! I have a wedding to go to tonight and my brothers graduation/ Memorial day celebration on Sunday. I hope with my Hubby off of work and no baseball games for him that we will catch up on a lot of house cleaning. The weather looks like it should be pretty nice!

I heard a little thunder yesterday and was hoping for a bit of rain but nothing happened. Glad you got to enjoy some rain.
I saw that show was on yesterday and it didn't look interesting. Now I wish I would have turned it on since it was about Black Friday. Maybe my husband and I could have been on Mall Cops for Black Friday. Last year we went to the major shopping center here on Black Friday, like we do every year. They have a Christmas ice skating show in the center of the mall every year. We brought our lawn chairs to sit and watch it. We were approached by 3 security guys and were told we could not have chairs in the mall. They were VERY FRIENDLY about it but I laughed after they walked off. I told my husband, "did they really need 3 security guys to tell us we could not bring these in?" We were not the only ones that brought chairs, there were others. I thought it was silly why we couldn't bring them. The mall is 4 stories high and PLENTY of room in there to bring a small folding chair. That would make for a boring story on that show. :lol:
I had the grandkids for 10 hours yesterday. Toward the end of the day I was getting exhausted and my allergies started up. I have not been taking my local honey for allergies. Shame on me! :-? I try to treat all ailments naturally but not going to work if I don't keep up with it, lol. Then my heart started skipping beats and racing for hours. I have had that problem off and on for over 20 years. I just felt awful. By the time they left I went to bed, fell asleep at 9:30 pm and woke up at 9:30 am, 12 hours of sleep! I haven't done that in a very long time. I probably would have slept longer but my dog playfully woke me up by patting me on my head with his paw. He is so cute and I really didn't mind, he knew I been asleep too long. My daughter is off work today so I do not have the kids today. I need the rest. They wore me out this week. I feel a little better today.

Stoppin' in for a bit to say HELLO to everyone! I have been so busy lately. This morning I attended my neices kindergarten graduation, today is also d/d's last day of school with an early out at 1:00. It's been rainy here lately but I am not complaining as we need the moisture to green everything up. D/D and I planted all my flowers in pots last night. I am anxious to get them all out in the yard and deck. Other than that work has kept me busy. Hope everyone is doing well. cheesy
