I sometimes get caught up in what's going on around me and I forget why we have holidays like this one.

Unexpected storm just rolled through. I got some Christmas music playing and enjoying the rain. It has been so hot for the past 2 weeks. This is very much welcomed!

For many of us today is the first day of a 3 day weekend. Lot so of cookouts, parties and traveling going on this weekend. Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.
We are off to look for bunk beds for the kids before dropping the oldest off to a birthday party this afternoon...
Well we are another day closer to our favorite time of the year.

Great day today, the sun is up, going to be warm again. I got some flowers planted in the front. Hoping to get the back done by the end of today.
But first I am going out for lunch with my girlfriends (our once a month get together)

I don't get a 3 day weekend off like most but it's all good. cheesy I do work tomorrow and we are closed on Memorial Day but I do go to work and feed the animals. It will not take long and we may head to Choctaw casino afterward with my parents. I am not much of a gambler, I will stick to some penny slots and feed it v-e-r-y slowly. There will be a free concert there and that will be the main thing my husband and I will be going for.
To put it in perspective, we did not reach 5000 posts until Sept. 23rd last year. We are almost four full months ahead of the pace! Let's keep it up! With half the year left, we're still on pace to reach over 10,000 posts as well!! Way to go everyone!!!
