Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good evening fellow MMCer's


Busy day here checked in a few times earlier, but now finally relaxing. Some days being Mr. Mom is just exhausting, had to feed the kittens, feed the kids, do the dishes, laundry, fold laundry, make lunch, feed kittens, bring JP to preschool, put LC down for nap, do some posts on MMC, wake up LC, pick up JP, mow the lawn while watching kids, make dinner for kids, feed kittens, finally wife gets home, put kids down for night, make wife and myself dinner, go to Friendly's get my reward for busy day. Just a usual Monday here. Tomorrow I start my work week, after dentist visit, another long week just beginning.

Ahh! The joy of kids! :wink: It is the hardest but most rewarding job. I did daycare from my home when my kids were little for almost 12 years. I would have up to 4 kids along with mine. It was hard but we had so much fun that those kids who are grown said they want to be little again and come to my house. :lol: I thought I was done with all that when my kids grew up but I am back at it watching my 3 grandchildren. My daughter has offered to put them in daycare to give me a break but I told her I will continue watching them for her for awhile. The plus side for me is that at least they do leave early evening and I have the rest of it to myself and weekends off but with you, the day never ends. I feel for you and all others who have the daily task of raising children. I hope you get some rest. cheesy

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Vacation Bible School has started in our area. My kids usually go to two or three VBS's (besides ours) after invitations from their friends, so it gets kinda busy. They have fun, though. The organizers usually take a lot of digital photos and put together a Powerpoint presentation on an overhead projector set to music on "graduation" night, and that's alway neat to see.

Days to Christmas Day: 200
And without even reference to our marker chart, it's plain as the nose on my face (....well - you can't see that - but it's plain anyway....) that we have reached the long awaited 200-Day Milestone to Christmas Day.
And as of tomorrow, both of our counts will be down into the 100's.
Wowzers!
And coming up soon - the HALF WAY mark to Christmas Day!

Sunny again this morning.
My new A/C is all dressed up with nowhere to go, since we stand at 66 coolish degrees here at this hour.
(Like having a new toy but no batteries to try it out!)

To celebrate the milestone I am sitting here listening to christmas music. I don't have much to do today so I am going to work on my plans for decorating this christmas and I might try out a new hard candy recipe I found. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Good Milestone morning, everyone!

Another milestone in the books. Glad to celebrate this joyous occasion with all of you as well. The time has been flying by and in less than three weeks, we will be celebrating our next! It is going to look quite nice seeing that Days to Christmas Day count hit 199 tomorrow. Fantastic!!

It's sunny today. Overall, a nice, cool day. We were supposed to have a hot and humid weekend, but the forecast has since changed. It looks like it may be a comfortable 25C on Friday, the day of my graduation. Work is not very busy again. My bosses are out of town until next week. I will probably have to email them sometime this afternoon asking for a few more tasks. There just is not a whole lot to do!

Everything seems to be going quite well for me right now. My only complaint is that my hamstring is still injured. I strained it a couple weeks ago and it has yet to heel. I figured I would be good to go by next Tuesday, but that may not be the case. I may have to go to a masseuse for it. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do that until next week since my parents will be up tomorrow and I have practice tonight.

It's a Milestone Tuesday. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and relishing in the fact that Christmas Day is fast approaching. Of course, the Season is even closer!! For now, we can just enjoy the summer. I know I will. Again, have a great Milestone Tuesday, everyone!!
