Feeling good this morning.
Pushed myself during my workout last night and while I am a bit sore, it still feels good. (have lost 22.2 obs in 10 weeks)

what up fellas? hottest day of the year so far....everyone is doing fine.....work sucks...but besides that life is great...since the World Championships start in 2 days.....and the best about it....the time is running during the Worlds.....and in a rush...this month will be over and we will be four weeks closer to Christmas..

That in turn reminded me of the need to make another countdown volunteer request for the mornings of Saturday and Sunday.
(Let's keep that count running without break!)
Another beautiful, bright sunny day here in Raleigh where we stand at 71 wonderfully walkable degrees.
We are supposed to top out in the upper 80's today, but then the 90's return for the remainder of the forecast period.
The count:
Days to the Season: 157
Days to Christmas Day: 199
Wow! BOTH our counts down into the 100's.
And the HALF WAY mark to Christmas coming up on June 26, scarcely 17 days away now!
(Is it too early to be making some preliminary Holiday plans??)
OK! 'Pines Day!
Carl is waiting with a special batch of batter-dipped Fired Twinkies.
And he says the sweet southern iced tea turned out especially well this morning.
(And yes, for Bing - and for other so inclined - Carl says he's been experimenting with a coffee/Gatoraid blend he would like to try out on some unsuspec -- er -- willing guest.)
Holiday and I hope to see everyone there!

I'm glad you mentioned that. Got me to thinking that we will not be here since we are going back to the coast to complete what we couldn't, owing to our abortive efforts over the Memorial Day weekend.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!
My doggone modem quit working at home, so I have to do all my internet stuff at work while I wait on the replacement to arrive. It's strange how you get so used to having internet on demand at home. When it's not there, things are not quite right. Like when you drive off but forget your cell phone. Many times I've turned around after driving a while just to get my phone. LOL!

Hey guys! School is officially out for summer and the boss gacemethe rest of the week off! Isn't that great. Going to hang out with the wife and try to watch a movie and cook supper for her.

It's a cool, overcast day today and it's supposed to rain soon. I love days like today!!! We're all snuggled in, watching Mickey Mouse while I'm listening to Christmas music. We might bake in a little bit and we're seeing a house tonight. Hopefully it'll be a good one!

Good morning, everyone.
199 Days to Christmas looks a lot better than 200. We've made it! Only 99 more days until we see the count move into double digits! That doesn't sound so bad, does it?! The sun was out this morning, but clouds have since taken over. Rain should shortly follow.
My dad, mom and her husband arrive today for my graduation on Friday. I have not seen any of them since Christmas. They will be arriving at about the same time late this afternoon - in separate cars, of course. Thankfully, they all get along quite well, so we will be able to go out for dinner together at least tonight and Friday.
Big game tonight in the NHL. I am excited to watch Game 6 between the Blackhawks and Flyers. While I am excited because the Hawks have an opportunity to finally win their first Stanley Cup since 1961. It will be even more special to witness it with my mom. She's been cheering hard for the Blackhawks since at least 1961, and it would really be a special moment to witness a Stanley Cup victory with her.
Not a whole lot of work to do in the office. I've been organizing my trip to Amsterdam a bit here and there. We've settled on taking a train from Prague to Amsterdam rather than flying. The train is overnight. It is a bit longer and expensive, but we can sleep on the train and it will take the spot of a hotel for the night, plus it drops us off in the City Center rather than taking a cab from the airport. Overall, a cheaper choice. Now, we just have to book the train and our hostels. Both should be done by tomorrow. It will be so exciting to have everything finalized!!
Well, it is another hump day. On the other side of lunch, we will be heading toward the weekend! Actually, I am taking Friday off due to Grad, so I will be a little closer. Have a great 199th Day to Christmas. We're getting so much closer by the minute!!
