Well I am off to bed. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not do to well at work today. It was so hot and the big fan that we use was broken. The outside temp was up to almost 100 degrees. Our building has air conditioning but since it has huge warehouse doors on it and they open them often to load out bags of feed it stayed very hot in there. It didn't help that the shirt I wore felt like a sweater! Lol! I was hot and miserable and felt ill. I complained but then turned to the warehouse guys and apologized for whining, they had it a lot harder since they have the hard physical labor of carrying 50 lb bags in and out of the heat. I really felt bad for them. I then realized I don't have it that bad but I still felt ill.
I cannot tolerate the heat either, tend to stay indoors when it gets really hot and humid here. Hope that fan gets fixed real quick for you.

Good Morning MMC !

Going to get hot and humid here again by the end of the week, but for now it is quite pleasant.

I have a cake to do for this Friday (Hawaiian theme complete with palm trees)

Driving my daughter back to school after my morning run and then have to get ready for my TOPS meeting (I get to do the program tonight)

Have a fantabulous day everyone! cheesy

Christmas-a-Holic, I would probably be feeling ill, too! I can't stand the heat and it makes me just miserable.. what an awful feeling!

Cooler here today but still not cool enough for me!!! Still humid though, so blech! I think my little guy and I are going to hang out with my grandmom today and send out my sister's bridal shower invitations... hope everyone has a lovely day!

Good Morning, Folks.

The Crowns are back from the beach and all is well at the cottage.
We are all ready for our first renters who arrive on June 20.
(And no unexpected surgery this time!)

Another BIG THANKS! to Made and Minta, without whom there would have been a break in the steady progress of our count.
(And that would be bad luck, don't you know!)
Days to the Season: 152
Days to Christmas Day: 194
Wow! Down to only 12 days to the 50% mark to Christmas.
Like Old Man River, we just keep rolling along!

Sunny here but with some chance of rain all week long.
It is 76 degrees currently.

Well, I'm off to a dental appointment. (What fun!)

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

I am glad you all had fun and no surgery for you this time!

I just staggered out of bed to the kids knocking on the door. I usually like to be up at least a half hour before they get here so I can have some coffee and wake up but I was too tired to get up early. They ran in asking me a million and one questions and I cannot think straight to answer any of them! Lol! When I was raising kids I could handle all that when I first woke up but now my mind is in a fog if I haven't had my coffee yet. (even though studies shows differently as Christmasstar posted recently,). The least demanding child here is my 9 month old granddaughter. She just comes in sweet and quiet and plays. My 4 and 6 year old grandsons are all over loaded with lots of questions and arguing with each other. It will be a good day though. I am about to cook a big breakfast like I do every morning and then do something fun. We are hopefully going to the museum today.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Has anyone heard from Brad. Are things ok? I am on an iPhone and cannot read the entire thread. I am concerned with the flooding there. Yabba!
No need to worry, my friend. Everything's ok here, but thanks! cheesy

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was pretty good but it always goes by way too fast! Saturday was a boo boo day for my Sons! My youngest fell and hit his face on his brothers train table..and my oldest scraped his toe in the swimming pool pretty bad, then got hit with the fence gate in his mouth and fell and hit his face on an end table in his room. I felt horrible! They are both doing fine though just a little bruised up. Also my youngest (will be 10 months on Friday) and has been taking 6-8 steps at a time..Im in trouble cheesy! Have a nice Monday..going to be another hot and humid day here but tomorrow and Wednesday should cool down to the low 80's and then back up to the 90's. Summer is here and give me another week or two and lets skip to the Fall!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a long, hot weekend down here, but I got to play with my band again, so it was great! They are a super bunch of guys and we always have a blast playing. I don't know why we don't do this more often anymore.

My internet connection has been down for a week at home. My modem quit working, so I ordered one off Amazon. Big mistake. It was incompatable, but I didn't know that till I got it on Friday. I called Bellsouth and the said they could overnight one for free. Why didn't I just call them last week? :?

We're still trying to finish up the remodel so we can go to the mountains for a week. Man, I need that!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, everyone!!

Another work week begins. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Obviously, I was not able to check in. I think that graduation and family coming up is more than enough reason to have very limited time on the computer. As previously mentioned, my dad, mom and her husband arrived on Wednesday. We all had a great time. My graduation on Friday was really fun. The celebration and ceremony was enjoyable. The only complaint that the honourary "graduate" speeches went on way too long. There were two and they both talked for at least 20 minutes. In total, the ceremony was just over two hours. I had my five seconds on stage. Shook some hands and then received my degree. It was a nice feeling. Of course, it was great to graduate with fellow students that I have been friends with since second year.

My mom's husband had to work on Sunday, so they had to leave on Saturday. Kim and I are planning to go back to my home on Civic weekend (first weekend of August) to visit and go to my cottage. It was sad to see them go. It seemed too early. My dad left this morning. We had a great time. We did some shopping on Saturday and then went golfing yesterday. I do not think I have had a worse round in my life. I only had three or four quality shots. I guess that is what happens when you do not play for almost a year. Oh well! Spending time with my dad is always enjoyable. I wish that I could do it more often but something about living nine hours away makes it difficult.

Now, it is back to normal life - for two and half weeks. The time is ticking and seeing how it is already the 14th of June, I will be on my way to Prague on July 1st for just over two weeks. Until then, I need to make money and save!

Well, that is about all that is new with me. Again, I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. The official summer season begins a week from today - June 21st! Have a fantastic day, everyone!!

Congratulations on the youngest taking steps! I'm sure you're looking forward to all the mischief that will proceed! Sorry to hear about their injuries on Saturday. Hopefully they heal fast and do not stop enjoying themselves!

Friends, I need your advice!

I am currently waiting to see if I can be accepted into Grad Studies to do my Masters in History at my university. However, I have also been accepted to Teachers College at Ni****ing University in North Bay, Ontario. North Bay is about four hours from Ottawa. I do not want to leave Ottawa, however, this may be my only choice to go to school. Plus, I have always wanted to be a high school teacher. Moreover, the teachers program at Ni****ing is ranked the best in Ontario - and perhaps Canada.

There are so many positives and negatives of this situation. Obviously, the continued education and teachers college will be very positive. Negatively, I will have to move away from Kim and Ottawa for a bit. However, I have also applied to have my placement in Ottawa, which means that I could be staying with Kim for at least a month of the year while "teaching" in Ottawa. If I do not get into Grad School, I think I may just go to Teachers College. But, I am not too sure if I should just go to teachers college anyway... especially since it is one of the best and most respected programs in the country. Help me out, friends!!

Good morning all... what a weekend... On Saturday morning our frig died!!! thanfully it ws noticed before the food thawed so we were able to save most if it.
