This is my day off. My daughter does not teach on Fridays so that means no babysitting the grandkids. I was hurting and exhausted yesterday and this day off is what I need. It's kinda funny though, even though I get the day off from watching them I miss them at the same time.

Hey guys! Home from work for the weekend. Watching some golf and about to take a nap (sorry Binger)! Made, camping sounds like alot of fun. We are going to the lake so I can't wait for that...

The wife and I are going out to eat tonight....better get off here and get that nap taken because I got some yard work to do after that. See yall later!

You don't realize how much you miss certain people until you talk to them.

I completely agree. Most of my high school friends all have all moved out of state now for their jobs. Like brad said it is nice when you get to talk to them and remeber the good Ole days.

Good afternoon everyone!!!!!! It has been a busy morning here. I went out and worked a couple of hours and then went to do some shopping. I am still excited after seeing the Christmas stuff starting to come out at hobby lobby. It is getting rather warm here so I will probably spend the rest of the day inside. I just got done looking at the extended forecast for next week and they are showing a chance of rain everyday and temps in the low W's. We may have not picked the best week to go on vacation. Hopefully it will just be pop up storms like we had this week. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brad, I hope you enjoy yours too! I might have missed it but are you staying in a cabin as well?

I remember when my kids were younger we use to go to Turner Falls in Oklahoma every other Christmas vacation and stay in a cabin at the top of a hill. They use to decorate the whole park with Christmas lights and play music. We would sit on the balcony, cook out and look at the lights and decorations. It was beautiful! My husband and I went to Turner Falls a couple of years ago and found out they do not decorate the park anymore. I have been so bummed and sad about that. I really miss it badly! They even closed our favorite cabin down. There is another nice one nearby but I don't want to go unless they decorate it again.

No, our place in the mountains isn't a cabin. It's a mobile home, but it's on a beautiful lot with a mountain stream in the back yard and plenty of privacy. I LOVE it there!

We do rent a cabin over the Labor Day weekend in one of the local state parks, and we enjoy that alot, too.

Somebody stop me! I just ordered a bunch of fischer price "little people" things for my baby. I had already bought quite a few things for my older Son for Christmas but only 1 thing for my youngest Son. My Mom is going to split the cost with me though and give a few of the things from her. I've got the fever lol. I hope you all have a nice weekend!

I was thinking about taking pics but I didn't! :-?

I was just coming here to post the same thing. I just got home from mine and they had a whole row of the christmas craft projects and 8 endcaps full of bulb ornaments. I was so excitied to see it that you could have punched me in the face and I still would have been smiling. There was an older lady looking at the greeting cards while I was looking at the christmas craft projects and she asked me if I could believe that they were already putting out the christmas stuff. When I informed her that the half way to christmas mark is only 8 days away and that I get ready for christmas all year she gave me a look like I was crazy and walked away. I didn't care though and started whistling jingle bells. cheesy

I was happy too! Walking down the Fall aisle made me think of cooler times. The smells of the candles and colors made me wish it was Fall! That's exactly what they had up at ours! My favorite stuff is the figurenes!

I was thinking about it yesterday and it's actually kinda smart that they start this early. I figure this; most people get decorations for Christmas right before or after Thanksgiving. Not many people get decorations for Christmas the week before Christmas. There's no point. We go to Hobby Lobby at least monthly from August on to get decorations. (This also bites us in the butts sometimes because last year we ran out of space to decorate for Christmas! lol) Since Hobby Lobby is a crafting store, most people get Christmas projects and start working on them months in advance so they will be done in time for Christmas! Also, people have more money before the holidays because they are not spending their money on gifts. See what I mean?

hope y´all are doing great....all is fine here....with the excepton of Germany playing lousy against Serbia this afternoon and losing their second game.....lol....but besides that....all is great...I wish u all gon have a nice weekend.

tomorrow we will be visiting friends of ours....they have two children....1year old girl and a three year old boy...both have their birthday on the same day and it will be celebrated tomorrow

I actually watched a little of the World Cup today, the US was robbed on that call where the ref said no goal. But I am looking forward to the NHL Draft next Friday, Bruins 3 picks in the first 32. 16 more days until my vacation.

Whoo! It got up to 96 today with a heat index of 103. I had to listen to my Christmas music while eating a York peppermint patty in order to keep my head about me! Almost 1 a.m. and it's still 79 degrees. Come on cooler weather!
