Good Morning, Folks.

Well, it's here again - Weekend Eve!
Not only that but......
As of tomorrow, we will be only a week away from our next Milestone!
Days to the Season: 148
Days to Christmas Day: 190
And what is that milestone, you ask?
Why, only those in a coffee stupor wouldn't know by now: The HALF WAY mark to Christmas Day!
June 26. Mark your calendars!

A bit breezy here this morning where we stand just under 73 degrees at this hour under sunny skies.
Little chance for rain from now through the weekend.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And may your Weekend get off to a Wonderous start this afternoon!

Yes Happy Friday! Have a great weekend to all! I was looking through the Christmas presents I have already bought..and I made myself a list that Im going to type up. I had already forgotten some of the things I bought! Gets me so excited cheesy

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

My son had a friend over last night, and they were running around late. I finally got to sleep about midnight. At 4:45 AM I heard a noise. I got up and found those boys playing XBox...still! I made them go to bed and they were out in 5 minutes. LOL!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I remember those days. I don't think I have had one of those nights in a few years. Staying up to play 360, PS2 or even Nintendo 64 with a friend used to be a regular occurrence. Nowadays, I'm just as happy to go to sleep!

That does sound exciting! I'd do the same but I haven't bought any Christmas gifts yet. Maybe I will be able to find something special when I am in Europe. I am sure that Prague or Amsterdam will have some nice gifts!

Happy Friday everyone! It's gonna be a scorcher here today! 92 and HIGH humidity! This weekend is the end of the 11 year countdown til Toy Story 3! My entire family can't wait to see it!

BIG NEWS! Yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby. Fall stuff was going up and a little bit of CHRISTMAS stuffis already up. (i.e. wreaths, garland, boxed ornaments). In a month and a half or so I bet all their Christmas stuff will be up!

Good morning, everyone!!

A Happy Friday to all! The best part about this Friday is that we are on summer hours at work. I've stayed an extra half hour on each shift so far this week, so I can leave at least two hours early today. Summer hours are definitely the way to go! The weather is making them even more desirable today. Highs of 28C (82F) with a humidex of 32C (90F)! It should be a real scorcher. I was going to get some groceries after work, but I may have to go home and get changed before I do that. It will be way too hot to do so in my office clothes!

I was hoping to get my final workout of the week in today but I may have to take three rest days this week. My body is absolutely destroyed from yesterday's workout. Walking lunges with heavy weights are very painful the next day. It was "fun" while it lasted. Hopefully I can hit the gym this weekend. Maybe I will try tomorrow.

My best friend from high school, whose wedding I attended last summer, returned my phone call last night. She is a teacher in Woodstock, ON (quite close to the home of ChristmasStar!) and I needed a bit of advice from her in regards to my situation for next year. She would always come to me for advice in high school, so the tides have now turned a little bit. She was happy to say that I should just go to Teachers College now and move back afterward. It was so nice to speak with her on the phone. We've only spoken online a couple times since I last saw her back home during Christmas. You don't realize how much you miss certain people until you talk to them. I'm glad she called.

Well, I guess I should get back to work. These names are not going to add themselves to the list. 8 more days until our next milestone!! Hard to believe. Also, in less than two weeks, I will be on another continent for the first time in my life. What an experience that will be! Have a great Friday, everyone!! The weekend is almost here!

I remember when my kids were young and they had overnight guest. This doesn't work for the older kids but it did with the younger ones. They would "camp out" in the living room with their sleeping bags and I would lay on the couch and I would say, "you get to stay up all night long!" They would get so excited. Here was the catch, I would tell them the only way I would let them stay up all night is they get to watch movies all night and have to lay down while they watch them. I am right there on the couch making sure they are not up playing. They would pick out a movie and within 30 minutes into it they would be sound asleep. It worked every time. They thought it was cool that they got to "stay up all night."

Made, I hope you have a blast on your vacation.

Brad, I hope you enjoy yours too! I might have missed it but are you staying in a cabin as well?

I remember when my kids were younger we use to go to Turner Falls in Oklahoma every other Christmas vacation and stay in a cabin at the top of a hill. They use to decorate the whole park with Christmas lights and play music. We would sit on the balcony, cook out and look at the lights and decorations. It was beautiful! My husband and I went to Turner Falls a couple of years ago and found out they do not decorate the park anymore. I have been so bummed and sad about that. I really miss it badly! They even closed our favorite cabin down. There is another nice one nearby but I don't want to go unless they decorate it again.

Our friend called us to let us know her cat is very ill, she rushed him to the animal hospital, they are seeing what they can do but they believe it is an aggressive cancer and they will be surprised if he makes it through the night.
I feel bad for anyone going through that with their family members (pets). It makes it even more difficult because they cannot talk.

This is my day off. My daughter does not teach on Fridays so that means no babysitting the grandkids. I was hurting and exhausted yesterday and this day off is what I need. It's kinda funny though, even though I get the day off from watching them I miss them at the same time.

Lol! Just as I type this my daughter just sent a message and asked if my oldest grandson can stay with me for an hour while she takes her two youngest to doctor for check-ups. It is no problem, I can still rest up while he is here. He is 6 years old and does well by himself. Get the 2 boys together and they seem to argue a lot. Lol!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

I agree. Several of my close "running buddies" from back in high school have moved off, and I only see them at the occasional reunion or when the return to visit family. It's always great to see them and we wind up reminiscing about the "glory days" (to paraphrase "The Boss").

Im sure you will be able to find some very neat gifts in Amsterdam!

I was just coming here to post the same thing. I just got home from mine and they had a whole row of the christmas craft projects and 8 endcaps full of bulb ornaments. I was so excitied to see it that you could have punched me in the face and I still would have been smiling. There was an older lady looking at the greeting cards while I was looking at the christmas craft projects and she asked me if I could believe that they were already putting out the christmas stuff. When I informed her that the half way to christmas mark is only 8 days away and that I get ready for christmas all year she gave me a look like I was crazy and walked away. I didn't care though and started whistling jingle bells. cheesy
