My baby just turned five and I'm still waiting for my "baby fat" to melt away! I love the Three P's: Pepsi, Pasta, & Potatos---and chocolate. I need to lose 34 pounds to get to my goal weight, 22 pounds to pre-baby weight. Obviously I don't "want" to lose the weight, or I'd do something about it. I've never liked being told "what to do" and I guess a change in lifestyle would be that way, so that's why I'm resisting. It's no fun shopping for myself like it was in the "good old days". Fluffy folks don't look as good in the cute stuff as the skinny people do!

Where are you Christmas? I'm starting to get into the mood. I'm wanting to watch Elmo's Countdown to Christmas with DD. Maybe she'll be up for that tonight! I've overheard her singing Christmas songs over the past couple of weeks and she enjoyed going to The Incredible Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge, TN last Friday for a little while to look at everything there. She is my child---Christmas and chocolate are two of our loves!

Goodluck with your baby weight..you can do it!

I feel ya on the "Where are you Christmas"..I have been wondering that myself. My 3 1/2 year old Son sings Christmas songs almost every day and wants to watch something Christmassy at least once a week... I feel like I have acomplished something since he loves Christmas just like Mommy lol..its such a good feeling!

That is so cute! My almost 2.5 year old sings "Ding ding ding ding" for Jingle Bells sometimes and plays with "Ho ho" (Santa) every day... I think he might love Christmas as much as me!

Ahhh, I see... sorry to hear that, but yes, I suppose it does take a lifestyle change to lose weight. Right after I had my son, I lost all the weight very quickly about 2 years ago and I'm praying it happens again but who knows!

Judesmama with my 1st Son the weight came off very quickly for me too. After my 2nd Son its taken longer..the first 20 pounds or so came off pretty quickly but I still have the last 5 lbs. I guess thats not too bad but it has been harder..maybe since Im a little older now or because its the 2nd child? Im not sure.

A beautiful day in Canada, eh? It is almost 100 degrees on the east coast, USA, and very humid! It does NOT seem beautiful to me! HOWEVEER..... the countdown to Christmas continues! There is HOPE!

Another east coaster here sharing your pain... when people say they LOVE the heat, I always just give them a quizzical look. How and why, I want to ask!!! Ugh, this miserable heat and humidity is the pits!

Same here!!!! I hate the heat and humidity!!!! Fall can not get here fast enough!

We have quite a few East coasters who are tired of this heat..come on we need a break! LOL

Hello everyone! Had an exhausting day at work yesterday. We had to change over 100 HOT halogen lightbulbs on a VERY high ceiling above the jewelery cases. It took us about 3 hours to change all of them. I'm surprised my arm is killing me yet (now that I jinxed it, it probably will start hurting lol). I have some bruises on my knees and legs from leaning on the ladder for dear life! lol

I think I might be the only person here that loves the heat:?
hahaha But it's no surprise, most people think i'm nutscheesy

I can handle the 90's if there is no humidity and Im in the pool or on the beach LOL if not I would like the summer to be around 85 degrees cheesy

Happy Thursday..my pay day woo hoo. Looking forward to the weekend but not the 94 heat...no break! By Tuesday its suppose to be 85 here which should feel wonderful! Also next week I will be working 5 days instead of having off on my Wednesday so Im not looking forward to that. Lets skip a week and be the weekend of 4th of July and then September pllleassseee :hello:

I always think of the 4th of July as the middle of summer, even though it's totally not! I think it's just a mental thing for me... 4th of July, Christmas in July, make it through August, and then we can put up the fall decor!! :)

Brent-nice insight on the Bruins trade

You're welcome. It would also be nice for the Bruins to trade Ryder. However, I do not know who would be interested in taking on his $4 million salary. The fact that Lucic was out for three-quarters of last season definitely hurt his numbers though. I'm sure with a healthier team, he will have less pressure and account for plenty of secondary scoring. The same can probably be said about Wheeler.

Good morning, everyone!

Seems as if this morning has flown by so far. Only an hour away from noon! Plenty of overcast and shade in the forecast for today. There should be a bit of rain this afternoon, but not a whole lot. Post earthquake, Ottawa is OK. No real damage. A few buildings were cracked, but they've built to withstand small tremors as we are on a fault line. Everyone seems to be in good spirits today.

Since I am going to Prague next Thursday, I was (somewhat) hoping not to attend our tournament this weekend outside of Boston. Unfortunately, it looks as if I am going. Being out with a fairly big injury the past months has really diminished my playing time and I need the reps to return to where I was in the Spring and last season. Hopefully we perform real well. We need a big tournament. Personally, I need a big one heading into Worlds next weekend. It sounds weird to say that they are only a weekend away.

Lots of posts this morning, too! Great to see! I'd imagine that we'll reach Binger's goal of 4000 posts by our milestone Saturday! A little ambitious, but posts seem to go up during milestones, especially for something so special! We'll see if I can jump on a computer at the hotel, but it does not look too good right now. We'll see...

In other news, everything has been absolutely finalized to attend Nip issing University in the fall. They received my $350 Registration Deposit on Tuesday, but did not confirm such until this morning. This means that I can now officially look for a place to live in North Bay as I will split much of my time between there and Ottawa. For a while, I was really worried about not being in Ottawa, but everyone - especially you guys - helped me along with the decision and it all seems very reassuring.

Have a great Thursday, everyone!! We're close to the weekend ane we'll all wake up on Saturday knowing that we've made it half way to the greatest day of the year!! Exciting!!

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is having a smooth day today! I'm staying inside as much as possible, its "scorchin' hot" down here in Georgia lol!

been a beautiful day today, sun was out...and my stomach is gone, was in the garden with my daughter and in the evening we rode our bikes a bit...now we are watching some loney tunes cartoons and then i put her to bed

I am like you and just as soon as 4th of July is over my mind goes into full gear with Christmas! I also start counting down the days until Christmas in July on QVC. I have been watching that for nearly 10 years and never bought anything. I just love to look at all the pretty things. Maybe one day I will buy something.

I am glad you are safe!
