All this talk about cold weather (Maureen) is sure making me excited for Fall/Winter!
Binger...happy that you are home now. I guess you will have a countdown for when you can drink coffee again! Let us know how your first cup tastes! I bet it will be sooooooo delicious!!!
As you can see - I am home now. I cannot tell you just how excited I get when I know I can come back online at MMC after a hard day's work - and visit with all of you...and "talk" and "hear" about CHRISTMAS!!!

We just had a strong thunderstorm move through my town. It cooled the temperature down from 96 degrees to 71 degrees. Unforutantely it is now over and the temp is back to 88 degrees. I think some of my neighbors thought I was crazy for sitting out in my rocking chair during the storm but it sure felt good.
Love it when a storm blows through and cools things off. My neighbours think I am crazy even when not doing that! (I love to sit outside and watch a good storm too!)

also just finished making the centers for 36 moth orchids. When they dry I will paint them. Then I can start on the petals.

MAUREEN...I hope you have enough room (and A LOT of coffee) for all of us! Looks like MADE is organizing a trip to your place! Ahhhh-hahaha! Oh...CHRISTMAS-A-HOLIC - I'm with you...no flying (unless I'm taking a lot of sedatives cheesy)! A boat trip sounds great to me!
Well...my fingers are getting used to playing the guitar! They are no where near as sore as what they were last week - and so the chords are sounding clearer! I am really enjoying this - but am looking forward to getting a guitar more suited for me. I have been playing on my husband's guitar - but I think I need one that is more my size.
Gotta run and get ready for work now.

Wow! The posting rate here is as hot as the weather outside.
And just look! Under 15 posts to an all time thread record!
(I would NEVER have believed at the end of last year that our 2009 Countdown thread record would be eclipsed in mid-August of this year.)
And speaking of numbers.....
Days to the Season: 93
Days to Christmas Day: 135
Two. Count 'em. TWO more days until the 3/4 mark to Christmas Season 2010. And I won't be here to see it. << sniff >>
(At least I feel good that the count will be in Minta's capable hands. Thanks again, Minta!)
The oppressive heat and humidity continue unabated. A nice little storm last night did absolutely nothing to cool us off and it was already 82 by 7:00 AM this morning.
The highs will again be in the mid to upper 90's with the heat index over 100.
Enough already!

Posting from the wireless signal on site at the 2010 Canadian Ultimate Championships in Sherbrooke. We are staying at the Bishops University residences, and I must say the site is very nice. All the fields are right around us, which certainly beats driving anywhere. It's very good stuff! Surprisingly, we are not playing until noon. Most of the time we start at 8:30 AM, so this is a welcome change. Three games today!
It looks like we are certainly closing in on last years post total. More than four months ahead of schedule!! I'm sure we will surpass it today. Way to go to whoever managed to get that record setting post!! Not much else to say... Looking great with only 3 days left in the 90s!

Good morning everyone... finally got a break from the heat.... humidity should be decreasing as the day goes on too. It's raining this morning. Need more coffee though... hey Binger I will be drinking a cup for you!
Today is my Friday as I took tomorrow off but unfortunately I wil not be able to sleep in tomorrow morning as I have a lot to do!
