Well it turned out to be a busy week. I never managed to get back on last night because I fell asleep watching the football game. I got back up this morning and headed back out to finish the work I didn't get done yesterday. Then it was back home to babysit my nieces this evening. It was another beautiful day so I just sat in my rocker and let them run around until they wore themselves out. After they got picked up I had to run to the grocery store. I hope everyone had a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!
happy weekend everyone. I will spend quality time with Kandice today and later on visit my grand-parents...Kandice s great-grandparents...among their great-grandchildren (they have 4) Kandice is closest to them, because I visit with her often and am totally close to them too. My grandfather hasn´t been at great health the last one and a half years....so i want to spend as much time with him as possible...I am afraid that this might be his last christmas with us, because he has been in hospital three times already this year because of heart problems...so we will spend as much time with him as possible. They have always been there for me and they are the couple that showed me that a lifelong marriage is really possible and can work if both partners keep working on the relationship.

R.I.P. all the victims of September 11th nine years ago...it still seems like it was yesterday, that is how I still see the pictures and how I have them burned in my head.

What a week its been. I haven't been able to come on here much...but I'll catch up. Not today though because I am picking up our granddaughter Emma this morning!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!
Oh...and believe me - when Emma is here, she keeps me on my toes and I have to watch her every move. She sure is quick!

we had a similar event at our local mall for mothers day. You could enter for a chance to be one of 12 mom's who dove into a cake looking for a diamond ring. My daughter worked at the mall so I could not enter :-? but it was fun to watch!

I am sorry to hear about your grandpa's health. I am glad you are having a nice time and able to spend lots of time with him.

The Dallas Cowboys play their regular season game this Sunday night! I will be home from work by then so I can watch it all. I cannot wait!

Good morning all.... was hoping to be able to sleep in this morning...uhhh nope. Our daughter thought 7:15 would be a good time to practice her cheer routine in the livingroom. Man that kids has a set of lungs!
Oh well .. here I set enjoying my coffee, my merry christmas radio and of the fourms.
Got a busy day today... we have a local community event today filled with music, food, amusement rides and capped off with fireworks tonight so we will be up there late afternoon through tonight. Tomorrow our daughter is cheering in her first game! Going to wear jeans and bring a jacket as it will be chilly there tonight. Todays high will reach 77 degrees cheesy loving these temps!
Well time for a coffee refill!

My thoughts this morning are with the events that took place 9 years ago. I came home from work to hear my daughter call me to the TV to see the plane that had crashed into the world trade center tower. I sat and watched the story unfold. Shortly after sitting we watched in horror as another plane crashed into the other tower. At that point we knew it was no accident. As the day progressed we did not move from the TV. When yet another plane hit the Pentagon, another plane crashing in Pennsylvania, all we could think was that another war had started. I do not think any of us who watched this unfold will ever forget that day. When the trade centers came crashing down so did any hope that anymore loved ones would survive who where still trying to get out.
The sad part is so many of several nations continue to parish fighting the evil that started all this.
My thoughts and prayers are with all those whose lives where touched on this day nine years ago and whose lives continue to be touched today.

Today is a bit solemn as we remember 9/11. I continue to keep the victims and their families in my prayers. I will take a few moments of silence and prayer throughout the day to pay my respects. When I see a plane in the sky, maybe as I pass a fire station, or I see a rememberance wreath on someones door. Today I remember. I pray for peace. I pray for inner peace for the families, friends and loved-ones of the victims. Today I focus on CHRIST in the word Christmas. May my love for him shine through today in all I do. The kids are a bit better this morning, playing with their Play-Doh, we all will be taking it easy today, especially since I should have been at work for an hour already. I am feeling very blah.
