Good evening all!

Well the Bengals first game didn't go to well, I did like the offenses ability to move the ball in the 2nd half, but it was to little to late, it is game one, they can still go 15-1 lol. The kids are in bed, I will probably have to bring LC to the DR tomorrow, we believe he has the chicken pox now.

Have a good night!

Back in February, I had to pick up my son at UC San Francisco after a bone marrow transplant. It was late and very rainy. I kept telling my son that I could hardly see, that my lights were not bright enough. After I got home, I told my husband, and he "sanded" my plastic headlight covers. Nothing got better. So in early March, I ordered new headlights to the tune of over $300. Things did not seem to be a whole lot better. Then I went in to my opthamologist for a new prescription. After the exam, he walked back into the room and said, "When is the surgery?" I thought he was talking to his assistant about another patient. He repeated his question and looked at me. I said, "What surgery?" He said, "Cataract surgery!" I was FLOORED to say the least! Needless to say, I went for surgery as soon as possible! The results were AMAZING!!! Now wait just one minute. In late March, I continued to have a lot of what Southerners call "cricks in the neck." Nothing got better, so I went to the doctor again. At first, he thought I had gout; but I told him there was no way. He did xrays of my neck and said that it was not gout, but that I needed surgery on my neck because two vertebrae were "rubbing" against each other. SO, I went in for surgery on my neck. Before surgery, the doctor asked if I wanted to use a cadaver bone or a bone from my hip. "Please, please, please," I said " use my own bone from my hip." Right after the surgery, I though, "Wrong answer!!!" Recovery was sort of long for this old woman. THEN in July, my husband and I go on an across the USA trip to Orlando, then up to NC to visit family, and then even more across to visit my husband's relatives in Missouri, then home. Well, in Missouri, I fell, broke some ribs and injured my hip (yes, the one from which the bone for the surgery had been taken!!!). I went to the emergency room because I could not walk. Finally, many medicated days later, we arrived back home. THEN school began with 34 students, no aide, and LOTS of ADHD students (the second year in a row!)! ALL THAT BEING SAID, it is SO GOOD to be back on with no aches or pains (physically, at least). I must say, though, it is the PITS getting OLDER!!!!

WOW. I'm starting to think we should dip you in acrylic or something. Nice to know you're surviving...and welcome back!

I am trying to imagine 90s attire. Whoa! What does it look like? I can imagine 50s, 60s, 70s, maybe even 80s; but 90s???

Closing in on the end of a weekend...Thinking of heading to bed early to read(and fall asleep about ten minutes after I open the book) It's amazing the things that thrill me now as a man of almost fifty.

I put together a new morning show for MerryChristmasRadio today and made plans for some more. I'd like to do one a week till Christmas, we'll see how that goes.

A man in the town I grew up in passed away recently. His house was THE house to see at Christmas, in fact, his obit said "Mr. Christmas". His family put together an estate sale and I went but was unable to even see the Christmas things as they were locked away. They want to sell them but as a complete lot..I don't have enough room to display what he had nevermind store it...But they have my number...I told them I might know a group of people who'd have an interest in some of his things!!! Wish me luck!

WOW !! JayIsh that sounds beautiful. I am sorry the man passed away. So Few people these days really get into Christmas the way it sounds he did. Good Luck with getting at least part of the decorations. I can tell, you have a Christmas soul !!!

Made, Christmas-A-Holic and I feel your pain! Dallas certainly doesn't look like a winning team, especially a Superbowl team!

10,000 didn't happen this weekend, but it will happen this week. That will be neat to see.

Well, I hope all had a good weekend. Mine was nice. I was fairly lazy. It's been about a month since I've had some down time because of the move and all, but it's going to be getting better now. We will settle into the house this week.

Binger, I can't wait for Darlene Love. You mentioned her a couple of times today and it has me all excited!

You don't EVEN want to know how old I am!!! Acrylic might be nice--IF I get to pick the outfit!!

In CA, we are only 100 plus away from 10,000. The night is only about 9:30 p.m. Can we do it by midnight???
