I wish I were there! I love Thanksgiving.

Cherylle in CA

Had a great time at our family Thanksgiving yesterday. Lots of great food and company.

Today we do another one here at my place, not as many but just as fun!
I also will be taking some turkey etc to my friend who is in the hospital tomorrow.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!
:carve:

I love going to anything to do with cakes. I have been in a few competitions and they can be very tiring even though fun!

Congratulations to your boyfriend! Will you have to move now?
:) yeah competitions are very tiring :) but judging will probably be very hard as well!

Thank you! we do want to move! Leiden is not far from Amsterdam, but we live in a very crowded place, sometimes we hardly get any sleep at all at night, so we want to find a new place to live now we have a little more to spend :)

your posts was so happy...that I am happy now too....lol....how cute....baby isobel is growin up fast huh?

free mulled wine and mince pies sounds good...even tho I never ate a mine pie...it still sounds good.

oh i've had a lovely day. took my baby girl to the local farmer's market and to the park to play on the swings, she had so much fun! she is so intelligent, she has started to repeat words that i say and can say about 10 words confidently (she was only 1 two weeks ago!) i hope i have a mini einstein! cheesy

the lovely little village that is local to me is starting to get prepared for the lighting of their christmas tree. everybody gathers in the village whilst the lights of the tree are switched on, carols are sung and free mulled wine and mince pies are given out. the kids then visit santa in his grotto. it happens some time in the middle of next month and i can't wait.

this is going to be the best christmas ever, can feel it in my bones!:tree:

my, my....only 75 days to Christmas....now the days are passing by real quick, and I love it. Kandice is asleep now and was the best little babygirl a 4-year old can be....she listened, she helped to do her room, she ate well....she cuddled and hugged me....the best gal ever....lol

I can't believe how quickly Christmas is approaching!!! I'm planning my brother's 40th birthday party to be held at my apartment on Nov. 6th...then I'll be hosting Thanksgiving here as well! Busy, busy. I can't wait for Christmas though...right now I'm excited to decorate and see Christmas specials on tv.

I know how you feel since the wife and I have a friends Bday party scheduled here and then thanksgiving and of course the cookie swap. Lots and lots to do and little time to do it.

hmm.. surely in october some of the movies channels should have a christmas movie on at some point in the day? couldn't find a single festive film on any of the channels today. never mind... they have them on most days in november.

going to go shopping this week and stock up on some christmas films. once halloween is out of the way i would like to watch one at least every other day if i can.

going christmas shopping on friday to finish buying some gifts, i've been really organised this year! there'll be no rushing about for me for christmas 2010, i just plan on enjoying every second cheesy

did an art show this weekend.. bought some presents... had coffee.. life is good...

YABBA!

370 and we hit our year goal./.. YABBA!

Well then lets lift up our coffee mugs and smack this goal. That small number can be hit in about 2 days if we stay diligent.

Good Evening Everyone!!!!!!! It has been a long 3 days but they sure have been full of fun and good food. Unfortunately our town's fall festival is now over but the christmas parade is just around the corner!!!!!! I spent this morning at the festival and then headed to my cousins house to watch the colts game. I was stressed out after the colts game so I put christmas music on in my truck on the way home. When I got home I kicked back and watched the end of the nascar race. This evening I need to get some paperwork done for work this week. I hope everyone had a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening friends! Hope this finds all doing well. Great day here....EXCEPT FOR MY STINKIN COWBOYS! UGH!

Time for another week, but the good thing about this week is that we have the midpoint of October coming up....I just can't believe it.

good morning everyone......woke up and Kandice had a slight fever and is sneezing again....it´s nothing serious but I can´t put her to preschool with it.....so we´ll hang out at home so she can hopefully recover a little

I had a dream that someone broke into our house I was upset about what they took but I was most upset about them stealing Christmas decorations than anything else lol. Weird!

:-? That actually happened to me and my family when I was about five years old. We had our Christmas stockings (still have the same ones today) hung for Christmas in July and someone broke in and stole out stockings and my mother's wedding rings from the kitchen counter - nothing else seemed to be missing, we're guessing the dog barking scared them off. My dad and a neighbour followed tracks up as far as the playground and came across our empty stockings - the rings were never found.

:tree: My cousin and several neighbours had a worse experience in 2002 when their homes were broken into about a week before Christmas and all the presents were stolen. Fortunately, the robbers were caught and the police expedited the process so all the families received their gifts to open on Boxing Day. They had to celebrate Christmas without presents and discovered that being together and being safe (they could have been injured during the theft) was most important. They were pleasantly surprised when the police knocked on the door and presented their gifts to them. Hearing my cousin share this story over the phone on New Year's Eve that year, put a lump in my throat. It sounded like a Hallmark Christmas special.

Well its that time again (here in Canada that is!). Its THANKSGIVING DAY! Wooo!!! We had Thanksgiving dinner at my Moms house Saturday. Tonight we are having another one at my in-laws! Now Christmas is coming almost TOO fast? We are going to Apple Land this Sunday so that should be fun. Getting our Family pumpkin! Speaking of pumpkins. Our neighborhood is nice and quiet. Nothing bad happens. But when I was going to work this morning (6am) I saw smashed pumpkins all down the street :( Some kids were doing that. Sheesh. Well enough about that. My work shift has changed just for this week. Yes I work today on a holiday but get paid extra (I better!). I'm working 7am-4pm. So I get home nice and early! Last night I watched Hocus Pocus. Good movie. On the weekend we also watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Garfield Thanksgiving and a Garfield Halloween Special. Very good. Next up this week is to watch Ernest Scared Stupid, Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and the Halloweentown series! YAY! Hope everyone has a great day! Oh and I'm over 1,000 posts now!

:)) Enjoyed a three-hour visit with my folks yesterday. Longest visit since my mom's birthday in March.

Today, I have plans to play on the computer for a bit and later on if the sun is revealed, I'll get out to take more photos and tonight we'll be watching On Golden Pond.

:family: Maureen, my mom had an extra slice of pumpking pie for you with lots of whipped cream.

:-? You know I've always considered that O'Malley the cat has some Autistic tendencies, but lately he's developed a bit of OCD too. Several times in the last few weeks when he's finished using the litter box, he puts his scoop in and mews for me to come and clean it. I clean it once a day and there's never that much in there. Ugggh. I'm a slave to my cat.

Have a merry day y'all!

Good morning! Hope all my friends up North have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy the day off (think I might need to stay home and celebrate with you)!
