Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good Morning, Friends!

On we march towards Christmas, and we stand at the threshhold of one month until the start of Christmas Season 2010:
Days to the Season: 32
Days to Christmas Day: 74
Yes, indeed.
One month from tomorrow will be November 13 and the launch of our grand and glorious Christmas Season.
(Can't wait for the special pre-Season posts starting Nov. 8!)

Calm and sunny again here in Raleigh where we are a bit warmer than yesterday at just over 60 degrees.
We hit 87 yesterday and 88 is the predicted high for today.
(Unseasonably warm but with the lower humidity, I'll take it!)

I was not able to talk to my boss about the vacation time at work today, which was just an absolutely horrible night, the Thanksgiving turkeys came in on my day off which in turn made the freezer impossible to get into, and nobody did anything to help get them put in there correctly, then I had a trainee who thought it was beneath her to do a job I asked of her, but I was the only one who knew what to do and I was dealing with the turkey issue, she walked out and I didn't see her the rest of the night. Then somebody took my jacket and hat that I wear in the freezer, and I could not find it the rest of the night. I was very close to quitting tonight my co-workers talked me out of it though, I have had it lately, I think I am going to look for a new job soon, I know it is tough market out there but I need to try.

I hope things get better for you!!!!!! My brother in law is over the meat department at one of the grocery stores here. He said that it is just getting hard to find good help anymore. He just talked his store manager into firing all 4 of his employees becuase they never wanted to work. The only problem is that he doesn't have anyone else to replace them so he is working 6 days a week and getting help from another store 1 day a week.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It is going to be another warm day here with a high of 84 degrees.:-? Fall like temps are supposed to return tomorrow thankfully.cheesy I don't have much on the agenda for today again. I need to finish getting caught up on some laundry and then I need to figure out where I want to go work tomorrow. I will also take some time to watch the Christmas Shoppe on QVC at 2pm and 6pm est. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Moning Friends,

Woke up to the jets flying and over head and testing thee sonic boom they do every day. Even though most days they do it around 11 am, ooh well whatcha going to do. Now i just plan on doing some cleanning and listing to MCR this morning. I hope everyone has a nice day.

Wow! I am guessing that gets annoying to you after awhile but I would love to watch and hear that! Do you know what kind of jets they were?

I just LOVE going to air shows! It is a passion that my dad and I have. He got me into them over 20 years ago and now he and I go to as many as we can. Now, of course, my husband joins us! cheesy I was glad to know that my husband had always liked air shows and been to many of them before we were married.

My dad, husband and I will be going to see the Blue Angels this month. It will be my 3rd time to see them. I have seen the Thunderbirds, I think, 5 times and the Canadian Snowbirds once. I have also gone to plenty of local air shows without a big headliner too.

Funny thing is, I am terrified of flying but love love love watching others fly. Lol!

My mom don't like going so it's always my dad and I. My dad is aging with some health issues so I want to go to as many air shows with him that I can. We have a great time together! cheesy
 
Good morning! It's a quiet day here today. I've got my workout done, showered and did my usual morning routine. Now i've got the Christmas music on and i'm working on a grocery list while keeping warm with a cup of coffee. Later this afternoon I have to meet with my daughters speech teacher and run to Walgreen's to pick up a few things. Then back home to make dinner, homework and the usual evening routine. They usally fly F16 here they do test flights from the air force base next to my house to chattanooga. It does get annoying and starttles you a little since it will shake the whole house and windows each time.

I use to be very scared to fly untill i was in the navy and had to fly all the time. The worse place I had to fly into was Adak, Ak and it is due to the fact that you cant see the runway when you land since it is alwyas clowdy and you have to fly betweeen two mountain and hope you slow down enouth to land and not go in to the water or cash in to the mountain.

I've been gone on vacation since Thursday afternoon. We went to the Smoky Mountains and attended the Foothills Fall Festival in Maryville, TN. It was a BLAST! Lots of great southern rock with Lynyrd Skynyrd and 38 Special, along with many other groups. Boy, we did a lot of riding, though. We stayed in Maggie Valley, NC and commuted to Maryville, about 2 hours away on Friday and Saturday. Sunday we went to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN, about 1.5 hours away. Then a 6 hour trip home yesterday. But I loved every minute of it!

I have a lot of catch-up reading to do here. It's great to be back!

Wow sounds like it would have been a great show, to think that I live about 2 1/2 - 3 hours from there it would have been nice to have gone to see that.
 
what up my friends. am at a friend s place right now and get ready to pick up Jones so we can go shopping.
Kandice is going to get her pictures taken tomorrow in pre-school...so she after taking a bath I will do her hair and choose the clothes she wants to wear with her.
