Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good evening,

Another day done, another day off Friday, I am in the middle of one day on one day off until Monday. Busy night, like I wrote in a thread we received our first shipment of egg nog today, and the Christmas decorations were also coming in. I will be taking LC to do the grocery shopping tomorrow hopefully get to see some Christmassy stuff.

well i was supposed to be having a day of christmas shopping and stopping off for a coffee and cake with my cousin, but my baby girl is sick. i think she's had a bug as she was vomiting on and off yesterday and couldn't keep any food down. will just have to stay in and keep my eye on her today.... you just can't always plan things when you have kids, cany you? they are so unpredictable! i'll go shopping next week...

Man, I'm tired! But the good news is we have found Friday! I can't wait for a little fun this weekend.

My week was a little bad... i'm really busy studying, working and volunteering, so i when i'm home i really just want rest... but the construction workers that come in everyday to try and fix our bathroom are terrible! They come in at the earliest morning (but never on the time they said they'd come, always earlier or later!), they destory all our stuff (really, don't they have common sense not to touch someones watch when your hands are dirty! They should know not to try and put glue in the sink! blegh!) and they always find more stuff to fix (grr)... hopefully they'll be done today so this weekend and next week we'll have soem quiet

Enough complaining, hope everyone is well and has a nice weekend!

well i was supposed to be having a day of christmas shopping and stopping off for a coffee and cake with my cousin, but my baby girl is sick. i think she's had a bug as she was vomiting on and off yesterday and couldn't keep any food down. will just have to stay in and keep my eye on her today.... you just can't always plan things when you have kids, cany you? they are so unpredictable! i'll go shopping next week...

Morning all! Welcome to Friday! Now today just needs to speed by and I will be happy. Daycare took a picture of William laying up on his cot. MAN is it cute. Ill have to post it later on tonight when I get home. Bbbbrrrrrr it was chilly outside this morning going to work! I also had to put out the garbage. Not much new. My Mom and Sister are coming down but my Sister just canceled on me. Sheesh! Its so hard to get family to come down. My Sister works part time too! Ill give that another SHEESH in capitols! haha. Oh yes and if you didn't know (you don't because I haven't told anyone here this) I can do a DEAD ON Kermit the Frog voice. Not sure how it started but people crack up at work when I do it. Hence the sheesh that Kermit says. haha Well on that note back to work! Have a holly jolly friday!

I am so so so happy it's Friday (and IT'S PAYDAY!! WOO WOO!!) My weekend is going to be spectacular! I will give yall more details later because I gotta get ready for work, so I will see everyone tonight.

AAARGGGHHHHH!

bad news... kind of..... well i hope not.....

every year, mid november, our local village put up a beautiful christmas tree. the village association dress up as victorians and sing hymns around the tree, then santa turns up and switches the christmas tree lights on. everybody receives a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie and then all the children go to see santa in his grotto. it's a fantastic event and all the local kids absolutely love it. anyway, just been informed that it might not go ahead this year due to government cuts :-? the village may not be allocated the money to keep up with this fabulous tradition that the kids so look forward to. what a shame, i'm so disappointed. hopefully they'll be given the money but i have a horrible feeling they won't.

it's a tradition of mine and my families to go to this event every year, it's an unsettling feeling to think we can't do it this year.

Is she on any preventative medications? If my grandson stops taking his daily medication he starts the coughing really bad and it goes right into asthma. I know they can take these types of medication and still not be that effective for some. It did help my son and grandson.

I sure hope she gets better. I know that can be scary when they are sick.

we had a similar thing happen so the people here got together and pitched in to save our parade and tree lighting, turned into the best year ever!

This is what I was thinking. Forget waiting on the government, do it yourselves! That's what we do in our little town. A group of us raise money through the year with rummage sales, pancake suppers, auctions, etc. Then we buy decorations for the town, and have events like luminaire candle lightings on Christmas Eve. It's lots of fun!
