I want to work out today...but somehow my lazy butt seems to be glued on the couch...lol

Good afternoon,

I just finished raking the leaves, I think I counted 3,426,338 leaves or it just felt that way, my arms feel like jelly from raking. I told myself no MMC until I was done, that way I had a little treat to look forward to. Also, don't dress a 2 y/o in an orange shirt, I lost site of him and I called for him, and he said right here daddy, he was in the leaf pile which he matched perfectly I couldn't see him. cheesy

Have a great Wednesday!
I don't have ONE leaf to rake. Everything is still green here!!! I am glad we are not in the 100+ temps anymore but the high gets up to around 80 degrees. The leaves start to turn some in November then fall.
evening everybody, feeling more positive today.

isn't it odd how everything seems that bit better once you've slept on it?

no time for sadness, far too much excitement going on, after all we are at the home stretch!!!cheesy
I am glad you are feeling better!

It's ok to take a day off for rest! It's good for the body. Just wait until tomorrow to work out. cheesy

enjoying a cup/pot/vat of coffee right now.. so so yabba...

YABBA!

middling morning to you, my friends.
(middle of the week, that is.)

straight to the count:
Days to the season: 24
days to christmas day: 66
under half a week away now from the 3 weeks mark to christmas season 2010.
Just think of that. Three weeks!
(and it seems like such a short time ago it was 52, doesn't it?)

quite overcast today with a threat of rain and a predicted high of only 67.
We are at 60 right now.

My father and i had a great visit to the state fair yesterday.
The exhibits were dependably good as was the food. Had some great barbeque and biscuits at the same little booth we have frequented for the last 40 years.
That's one of the main things i like about the fair. A constant in a too-rapidly changing world.

Hey!
It's hump day. Shispering pines day. Carl day. Fired twinkies day. Sweet southern iced tea day..........experimental coffee day.
Be there or be square.

You have a wonderful wednesday, folks!

experimental coffee!! Yabba!

:snowball: Oh yabba a little wind never hurt anyone.

This song got stuck in my head as soon as the wind picked up and the lightning flickered in the sky over the lake, we counted the seconds until O'Malley hit under the bed and the thunder seemed to crack and then the sirens started. They're still going off and on and the storm stopped.

Gonna be a mucky sort of day in the morning.

:treeguy: Hey, on a happy note, the weather has been so mild that the Robins haven't left yet. They usually take off after Thanksgiving, but they're still hanging around. Maybe they won't take that trip to Florida afterall.

I haven't been to a Friendly's since 1964 when I visited my aunt in Connecticut.

Good evening, We got one of my favorite Christmas time desserts in tonight, and of course I bought it, and had a big slab of it tonight. It is the Friendly's Jubilee Ice Cream Roll it tasted so good. Hey, I am doing my part of buying local, I grew up in the town of Wilbraham, the home of Friendly's. The season is so close I can taste it now. The night at work was okay, I have tomorrow off, and I WILL get those leaves done.

Have a good night!

Will you at least be able to test them at night?

Yesterday as I was going up the street I noticed the old man across the street was hanging his icicle lights. On October 19! My wife said the expression on my face was classic. I now have the green light to decorate for Christmas when I want to, as long as we don't turn the lights on until after our Halloween Party on the 30th. So today will be a lot of pulling out boxes and checking lights and maybe even putting up a few around the windows. Woo Hoo!!!

A couple of trees are already naked in my neck of the woods.

Y'all know what that means ... :tree: Christmas is coming!!!!

See you at the Shispering Pines for some Southern ice tea and RC cola. :hello:

That is just SO sweet. I love it!

Good evening, everyone!

Where have I been? Have you even noticed that I was gone? I can only stop in for a few short minutes. I miss everything dearly! Unfortunately, teaching plans and everything that revolves around them have taken over my life! It's been quite busy. But, when the lessons go as well as planned, they are very rewarding! I'm sure coach can back that up!

24 more days until the Christmas Season. We're that close already? Just over three weeks! My eyes have been peeled for Christmas decorations... Nothing has come of that yet!... I know there will be at least one display when I return to the Rideau Centre here in Ottawa. I definitely plan to go there this weekend - camera in hand!

Hopefully everyone is enjoying themselves as our favourite time of the year nears!

I waked into my bank this afternoon to be greeted by a brightly decorated Christmas tree!!
:sparkle:

I just stopped in my tracks to really get a good look and smiled.. It is there to promote giving to those less fortunate this Christmas.
Such a nice surprise!cheesy

Yawn! Good time today at work, even better time tonight at the 'Pines!

Hope everyone had a good day today.

Made, who do the Colts play this weekend?

Stopped by Walmart today to do some shopping, only to spot the employees were putting up Christmas items out in the Lawn and Garden section. I immediately dashed out there to check them out. cheesy They already had up a display of pre-lit Christmas trees for sale. I asked the employee on hand when they started putting this stuff out, and he said just this last weekend. They're still in the process of getting all the items out for sale. He sounded rather disgusted with it, but I found it hard to hide my excitement. :snowball:

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!! One more midnight shift and then my life will return to normal!!!!!!!!! 23 days until the holiday season!!!!!!!

Wahoooo!! :tree:

Lazy day today, I think... windy so a walk is probably out. Noel really gaps for air when the wind hits his little face so I hate taking him out when it's so breezy. Oh well.. I really wanted to go out but what can ya do?

I think Jude and I are going to start doing some Christmas painting today. I like for him to paint pictures for our family for each holiday and they love it, too! I think I'll cut out some trees from green construction paper and let him decorate it with paint. He'll love it!
