Good evening, Christmas family
I forgot to mention this morning that I hope all who are not feeling well will get better soon !!
We are expecting a whomping storm on Sunday through Wednesday here I guess.........At least we don't have to worry about the furnace going out !! We do have to try and fix my 17 year old Honda which blew one of its power steering lines today......It's always something !

I just had dinner of Hmong egg rolls with great sweet sauce for dipping. On another note--not sure if I told you what happened at school yesterday. The office called my room and I was working with kids. An appointed student answered the phone, but didn't understand the message. I started for the office when I was met by one of my student's mom and brother. They wanted to drop into the classroom to see Michaela. I wish you could have seen M's face. She was crying so much. You see, her brother made a surprise visit home from Iraq!! It was wonderful! Thanks for listening! I hope to talk/write more tomorrow!

I was out driving a tractor and 53" trailer today. Did ok too, didn't run over anything or anyone!
The biggest problem I have is with down shifting, which you would think would be as easy as up shifting but turns out to be a lot harder. But my instructor says I am doing very well and just need to relax and trust my abilities.
l will be doing my road test on the 21st. Will try not to be nervous

A Christmas carol, 1938 with Reginald Owen as scrooge was just on. I do not think I have ever seen that version before (on TCM) it was very good.
Not as good as the version with Alister Sims but still good.
Now I am watching Deck the Halls with Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick.

My 2 year old is obsessed with Optimus Prime, he always has to be Optimus when he is pretending, he always "transforms" going from standing up into a tuck position hiding his face on the floor. It is the cutest thing.

I just got home from work a little while ago, had to drive home in a snowstorm, it was beautiful but probably won't be much. Went to the Dollar store and bought our wrapping paper for this year, can't beat paying a dollar for paper that is maybe off a shade or two but its only going to be ripped anyway, only problem was LC was in the carriage and he kept throwing the wrapping paper out or using it as a sword.
On a disturbing note, I was heading back to my area at work a woman stopped me and told me I had to call the police. I asked her what was wrong and she told me a woman was beating her child in the store, I radioed my supervisor since they are the ones who have to call, I didn't witness it but the woman was yelling at the top of her lungs and there was at least 25-30 people staring at her, my supervisor watched her and I don't know what became of the situation. What is wrong with people? I could never hurt my children. It just disturbed me to tears at work.

Indeed what IS wrong with people this day and age ??? So desensitized to everthing except their own wants and needs, even willing to hurt a child, or an animal for that matter. I hope the poor baby will be okay. It was good that you notified the proper people. If you hear anything else, please let us know. Thank goodness that a good citizen like yourself was nearby and was able to make that call.

Well, I don't feel alot better, but I don't feel worse either! That's good news! We went and bought our Christmas groceries tonight and had a blast. Then, it was home to bake some cookies, drink some milk, do some online shopping, and watch Polar Express. We are about 45 minutes in and it's time to head to bed and get my back rubbed!

hey part people......today we have a christmas party...a small one....with the parents of kandice best friends and their son, my brother and his family, us and my mom.....I made some nice potatoe salad.....everyone brings something....and I made a delicious strawberry-redwine-punch.....the strawberries are in the wine since yesterday evening.....yum

finally had some relaxing time yesterday after all the stress about the house, since there will only be news on monday
we went to see Harry Potter! and had a great time! 
I hope every one is well or gets better soon! I don't have time to catch up, because with Christmas my exams are crawling nearer and nearer! (on the one hand: yay, on the other hand: OH NO! )

Days to Christmas Day: 14 (Why hey, hey, hey! - It's two weeks from today!)
Indeed, 52 weeks have dwindled down to 2.
(Not quite a bedpost, but close!)
Well, we have a heat wave here this morning. We actually started out above the 20's at a torrid 30 degrees.
And it may actually reach the 40's by this afternoon but that comes with the cost of a strong rain prediction.
Then lows in the teens for next week.
The weather service says we had the coldest December 1-10 on record for the Raleigh area.
(What's all this about global warming??)
You have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone.
And may your almost last minute Christmas shopping go well.
