Under 140 posts to go to 16,000!!

Working from home today---our office is closed because of the New England blizzard, but thanks to the magic of technology, business goes on as usual. If the storm had come a day earlier, we would've had a "White-Out Christmas"!

I was wondering something. How does everyone get sudh great graphics in your posts? And a picture by your name?
They're quite fun to look at!

cheesy I sent you a private message about it.

:snowball: My daughter-in-laws mom had to postpone heading back to Cape Cod because of the winter storm.

Our Northern winter seems to have headed South of the Border. Christmas Eve day was the first time we've seen blue sky in over two weeks. Love it!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! The weather here is okay today. It is cloudy and cold but no snow. They are predicting that we will get up into the 50's by the end of the week. I really only have one thing planned for today. That is to clean. There is stuff sitting everywhere around my apartment and I need to get it all organized before my New Years Eve party. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Hello friends!

We still have snow on the ground. Yeah! The sun is out today, so the snow will probably melt. I'm not complaining. We finally had a white Christmas in Alabama. I am still so excited about that.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Blue Christmas,

Last year on Christmas Countdown, we had over 8,000 posts. Each year, we get better and better at spreading the word of Christmas Countdown. I have copied what Crown wrote at the beginning of last year. So many of us set personal goals, so it only seems right for Christmas Countdown to have goals. Earlier last week, we tried to hit 300,000 posts on the whole forum; and we did! This year on Christmas Countdown, we, at first, had a goal of 14,000, then 15,000, then 16,000 because we kept reaching those goals. Please join us! This is absolutely the BEST site on the web. The people here are friendly Christmas lovers! And age is no problem--we have teenagers (maybe some younger, not quite sure) all the way up to grandmas and grandpas and everyone in between!

Let's review the statistics since we began the Season countdown idea 6 years ago at Christmas.com:
2004 = 1217 posts (Christmas.com) = 3.3 posts per day
2005 = Over 2,700 posts (Christmas.com) = over 7.4 posts per day
2006 = 3,756 posts (The Christmas Place) = 10.3 posts per day
2007 = 1,957 posts (MMC, where the thread was not launched until July.) = 12.1 posts per day
2008 = 5,103 posts (Wow!) = 13.9 posts per day
2009 = 8,261 posts (Unbelievable!!) = 22.6 posts per day!

Now, here we are ready to go again, at the start of 2010!

Seawaters, since I am a newbie, I don't understand all the rules of the forum. Is 16,000 significant in the Christmas Countdown? There are alot of things I haven't figured out on the forum yet...

SNOOWWWWW! We got about 7 or so inches, I think? The city got more. It's so pretty outside - and they PLOW OUR STREET!!! In the city, we never ever got plowed so we'd be car-less for days.. It's also sooo windy so I think we'll be inside today. Hot chocolate with homemade whipped cream, mmm!!!

Sounds divine!

Good Morning .... we got less snow then what was orginally called for but enough that I got to stay home from work today. We got about 4 inches but it is soooo windy here. Will have to go outside later and fix some of the Christmas decorations as some of them have a lean going on.
Looks like a good day to curl up on the sofa and watch Christmas movies today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

WOW! Now, that sounds wonderful!

Anyone find any good deals on decorations (or maybe gifts for NEXT year??) I am itching to go to Target but some roads are still snow-covered. If it was just me, I'd go but taking the kids out makes me nervous... maybe tomorrow...
