Blue Christmas,
Last year on Christmas Countdown, we had over 8,000 posts. Each year, we get better and better at spreading the word of Christmas Countdown. I have copied what Crown wrote at the beginning of last year. So many of us set personal goals, so it only seems right for Christmas Countdown to have goals. Earlier last week, we tried to hit 300,000 posts on the whole forum; and we did! This year on Christmas Countdown, we, at first, had a goal of 14,000, then 15,000, then 16,000 because we kept reaching those goals. Please join us! This is absolutely the BEST site on the web. The people here are friendly Christmas lovers! And age is no problem--we have teenagers (maybe some younger, not quite sure) all the way up to grandmas and grandpas and everyone in between!

Let's review the statistics since we began the Season countdown idea 6 years ago at Christmas.com:
2004 = 1217 posts (Christmas.com) = 3.3 posts per day
2005 = Over 2,700 posts (Christmas.com) = over 7.4 posts per day
2006 = 3,756 posts (The Christmas Place) = 10.3 posts per day
2007 = 1,957 posts (MMC, where the thread was not launched until July.) = 12.1 posts per day
2008 = 5,103 posts (Wow!) = 13.9 posts per day
2009 = 8,261 posts (Unbelievable!!) = 22.6 posts per day!
Now, here we are ready to go again, at the start of 2010!
Seawaters, since I am a newbie, I don't understand all the rules of the forum. Is 16,000 significant in the Christmas Countdown? There are alot of things I haven't figured out on the forum yet...
