Christmas Countdown - 2011

Just getting home and decided my "christmas room" look so bare now since I took down the tree and lights from the fireplace mantel that I would move my ficus tree in here and put up clear lights in it. Since christmas half of the lights are not working and I cant figure out what went wrong...guess I will run down to wallgreens to get another string of lights.

Well, got back from a weekend in the NC mountains. Great family get together we do every year at this time. Whiteout conditions made it impossible to get down the mountain to go snow tubing on Sat. but the kids had a blast sledding on the driveway. This weekend officially ends our Christmas season..or so we thought. Woke up this morning to snow here and many inches expected. Most decorations are down but the tree is still up so I think we will plug it back in tonight because it just feels right. It will come down tomorrow.

Where do you guys go in the NC mountains? We go to Maggie Valley several times a year.

I keep a string of white lights on my artificial ficus tree year round. I also have a string of white lights above my sink in the kitchen that is wrapped around greenery. cheesy

Hello everyone, not posted in a day! But have been reading everyone's comments and hope those of you who put there decorations away yesterday are coping not to badly! I am almost over the christmas blues, and am very much looking forword to the 300 mark. Shall we mark it with a special chat celebration? Or are we just waiting untill January Rudolph Day?

Just got back from the Dr. he says I have an upper respiratory infection or basically a severe cold, I just have to let it pass since it is viral.

This one has really knocked me on my butt.

I have had a hard time deciding what I want to do with the money given to me for my Birthday but I think I have decided on two things but will have to save some extra money to get them.
One is a Possible Dreams Santa kneeling at the Baby Jesus
and the other is a Thomas Kinkade Star tree topper that actually has Santa "flying" around the top of the tree.
I don't know if I can post the websites they are on and I don't know how to post the pictures in here, not to savvy with that.

I just looked both up and now I want the tree topper!!!!!! The top branch of the tree would have to be pretty strong to support it though.

I don't know about yall, but I love snowdays!

Going to be a lazy day and going to be a football night! About to head into the kitchen after I read the boards and start cooking some chili...YUM! Went out last night about 11 and played with the dogs in the snow and don't think the wife and I got in bed until around 2....so it's going to be a lazy day. It think I'm going to watch some old movies and just kick my feet up.
