Tonight will be a bit of a down evening. All decorations are down, and have been for almost a week, but the tree is still up (normally would be on the curb but only put up our fake tree this year). A few decorations are still in a stack in the living room.

My job is to move all of it back to the basement to remove all traces of Christmas. Oh well, only a bit over 10 months until late Nov. when they go back up.

Good Saturday afternoon everyone! I Don't know what is wrong with me this year,I have given up on watching pro-football this year. It just does not interest me anymore.I love me some college football and all,when I found out I was moving back to the states last year I vowed I would go to every one of Georgia's home games,but really only made it to the GA-Ky game in lexington in october. Maybe next year I will get back into the NFL again Because nothing is on after the bowl games are over,until baseball season starts up in the spring. I play on a baseball team in the spring and summer too so I have that to look forward to.
This weekend I am studying for the 3 week course I'm taking at work(well ok not really) but I plan to study some..

I'm cooking a boston butt in the oven and having some friends over to play cards tonight. Hope everyone is having a great weekend...how many of yall have monday off? I don't but congrats to those that do!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!! We have finally broken through the freezing mark here in central Indy. It is 33 degrees out right now!!!!!!! There is going to be a cold front come through this afternoon though and we will be dropping back down into the 20's and maybe even the single digits by the end of the week. I don't have much planned for this weekend. I need to finsih getting my normal decorations back out in the kitchen and then I might make up a couple batches of cinnamon rolls. The big thing will be football. Today I will be rooting for the Ravens and Packers. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is 33 degrees here today too !! We are like next door neighbors though state-wise !! Have fun watching the games !!!

Good afternoon Christmas family. Not doing a whole lot right now. I took down my nativity scenes today and put away my Santas. I still have my tree up and lit. I kissed each Santa as I put him away and told him I love him (how childish is that ?!). I know they are inanimate objects but they are Christmas decorations so to me that gives them a special magic. I still have my garland up and that stays 365 days a year.

I was having trouble with my laptop. The hard drive slipped because there is no screw holding it in so when I turned it on it could not find an operating system. Despite multiple attempts of taking the hardrive out and putting it back in I kept getting the same error message so we took it to a computer place here in town and within seconds of doing the same thing I had done, the laptop was working again. Guess it likes the computer guy better than me !!

At least it is working again.

Does anyone here know anything about poinsettias? I know squat about plants really and I bought one for Christmas on Nov 13 when I put up my tree and was just hoping it would stay red through the holidays, but it is still red and really pretty . I water it about 2 times a week or when the soil feels dry. I am quite proud of myself actually for not killing it!

Thanks for the link...it says to cut it back in the spring and starting in the fall to keep in the closet for 14 hours a day for complete darkness and by next christmas it should turn red again and re bloom! I never considered keeping it year around and re blooming it but if its that easy I just might!

I would hope they would do a 2 or 3 day sale but I have this feeling it will be back to 1 day. Let's hope they realize having more than 1 day does them good and us too! =)

Once my Cowboys are out of it, I am not near as interested but still follow it somewhat and I always watch the Super Bowl. I will root on the Ravens since it's my husbands favorite team.

Oh Yay! Ravens are my husbands team. I hope they win since the Boys are out of it.
