As Snow-in-Texas mentioned about his health, please say a prayer all is well with him! He plans to go to the doctor this week. I try to stay very positive all is well but I still worry like any wife would do.

Well, we ALMOST started out of the 20's this morning.
We were at 29 and should be in the 40's by this afternoon, perhaps eliminating the last of the ice.
It's a beautiful calm, sunny day outside as I type this.

I was going to Niagara Falls with a friend today, (she had to pick up some stuff she ordered ) but looking at the snow coming down and reading the road reports, I know we should not go.

So instead, I will sit at home and make flowers for my mom;s 80th birthday cake. Her party is next weekend.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is foggy here in northern California. I am staying indoors most of the day to work on lesson plans. I want to get them completed through February, so I can devote some time to clearing out more stuff in the garage and doing more scrapbooking. I hope y'all have a great day.
 
Good morning all! The snow is finally starting to melt down this way and temps should be in the mid-40's today...a virtual heatwave:) Did the last of my post-Christmas shopping yesterday and I have promised my husband I will absolutely not buy anything else for next Christmas this month. But when Christmas stuff is ninety percent off how do you not buy it!! Fifty dollars worth of decorations for only FIVE dollars?!?! That's like asking a bird not to fly lol! Did you find anything at Old Time Pottery in Madison? We don't have one in the Shoals. My brother lives a couple of miles from the one in Madison so it's on the stop list when we visit!

Our snow is about gone too. Still plenty of slick spots though!

Evening Friends, Tree is still up. Hope everyone is doing well this evening. I am feeling a bit low, having financial difficulties. Those kinds of difficulties usually challenge my creativity and resourcefulness. But this too shall pass.
I changed careers ( licensed practical nurse to Special Ed teacher) I graduated last may from college and am finding out about the nepotism and the difficulties that arise when seeking full time teaching positions. Humbug!!

July 25th every year QVC does their Christmas in July which is big here on the Countdown to Christmas! I have been watching that years before I joined here but noticed everyone else is hooked on it as well. I always felt all alone watching QVC, now I have others to share it with! It will be interesting to see how many days of Christmas in July they have this year. The 25th falls on a Monday this year so I think they should expanded it from 2 days to 3 days and have all weekend plus Monday devoted to Christmas.
