Okay I just realized that Jay Cutler the quarterback for the Bears is from Santa Claus Indiana. So lets go Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved your explanation, but which do you think would work best for third graders???

Well would appear any #2HB pencil is best bet. I use the Papermate American #2HB and like them for writing but the eraser stinks on them. I looked on-line for someone who sells these pencils and neither Office Max or Depot does or at least on-line. I either got these from my local office supply place or Office Depot since I get all office suppily stuff from them. I must have decided I like them because I bought a 12 doz box of them. Or I had to order to be honest I don't remember. But I know most retail places sell the softer leads and times I'm forced to pick a few up I end up throwing away once I get home. But as well I like the drafting pencils for a lot of writing due to round barrel.
Hope this helps you.

You guys seriously amaze me with the number of posts here! How do you keep up with reading them all?
... It's 70 degrees here, still waiting on some snow...

No days like snow days! Bout to head out and buy some things for the house....this weather makes me want to put the tree and lights back up....

See yall tonight!

Have fun Shopping!!!!!! The cold and snow has me in the same mood. I have been searching online for new decorating ideas for the last hour.

Thanks, Superdave. I am going shopping after school and will try to find some.

Are good old #2 yellow Ticonderoga pencils still good for school use?

Not sure would hope so. But not used in years and doubt any here to test. So many of pencils now have a soft lead even as in what we called a #2 back in the day. In short they make them cheaper

I cheat. cheesy

Watch your language ... that's a dirty four-letter word around our place just now! Today I'd trade all our snow for your 70 degrees in half a heartbeat!

Hmmmmmmmmmm Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beens and Ham, and Homemade Cream Gravy

YUM! You're reading my mind! Except I'll take a biscuit instead of cornbread.
I had a hard time finding real fried chicken around here until we recently discovered a local restaurant that serves it. They don't have the green beans with ham or cream gravy, though.

.....Listened to Christmas music on my way in this morning, which is my tradition on days when it snows.....
Hey, Jay!
If you like Percy Faith, try the Hollyridge Strings.
More beautiful, lush Christmas selections in the Faith style but with their own twist.
Check it out!
(My favorite song in the collection is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". Beautiful!)
