Goooooood evening, everyone!

Got in a bit ago from my grandmom's surprise 70th! I swore she knew but not a clue! She was sooo happy. Unfortunately, little baby Noel (who is now 5 MONTHS OLD!!!) was not thrilled... it was soo loud and my sweet baby cried and cried unless I took him in the bathroom. We lasted a bit over an hour when I told my hubby I didn't feel like hanging out in a public restroom with the babe all night, so we left. Everyone understood! That's life with babies, huh? :)

Anyway, home now and my sweet boys are sound asleep... I love looking at them, snug as a bug! On the ride home, Jude and I looked for Christmas lights - we were surprised to see SOOO many still lit! And so people folks still have wreaths up! So beautiful! We have MOUNTAINS of snow here (got.. 12 or so? inches the other day, which was piled on about 6 or so inches from before) so the lights and the snow and the rolling hills (party was at a restaurant a few miles away, in a much more "country" area than our suburban town!)... just magnificent. So beautiful. My sweet little Jude was in awe ... he grew up in the city until a few months ago so all that open space just had him mesmerized! :)

MORE snow on Wednesday, they say.. well maybe. The forecasters never say for sure anymore, it seems! Ready East Coasters?? I'm a gal who LOOOVES the snow and it's just getting to be a bit much now!

Here's a snow pic for ya!

And a tree pic, just because! (NO, it's not up anymore!! Unfortunately!) :)

Oh it's going to be one of THOSE days today? my big dog snow ball just threw up after he went back into my bedroom..I guess doing it outside while he was just out there for 30 minutes would have been too easy. I guess he could not help it...now to clean that up..I have a weak stomach. I may not be back folks...

Close your eyes, hold your breath, turn your head, and wipe, try not to gag, repeat.

I heard that, too, but I was hoping I heard wrong ...

I hope you're still in Massachusetts when you open it, so I can come see it!

I would like to actually aim to put it in the Sturbridge/Brimfield area HUGE tourist area and only 20 minutes from my home. cheesy

Good evening,

Long day at work, but what day isn't I guess. Day off tomorrow, need to find a roof rake to get some of the snow off the roof. Just relaxing watching a Christmas episode of In Loving Color, I loved this show when I was a freshman in high school.

Have a good night!

Right off the Pike ... that would be smart! Bit of a drive for us, but it would be a fun destination, especially in the summertime.

Another day...another ballgame duty!

We had a make-up game from the snow...it was a great game. Two hours away, but it was great. Once we got home from the game my family (parents and wife) and I went to eat and buy groceries. Fun trip. But after digging holes in the ground this morning for my martin houses, pouring concrete, working, and then buying groceries.....

I AM TIRED! So, needless to say, I've got about 300 posts to catch up on and I aim to do so first thing in the morning over coffee. Anybody want some?

Anybody want some?
yes please! =D I recently got my boyfriend a nespresso machine (is that common in the US as well???) but since it is so expensive, we usually just drink nespresso twice a week... I now have almond coffee, it it delicious, it is my sunday morning treat =D

Makes me wish the Christmas Season was lot closer and I have been sitting here thinking about new ways to decorate the inside of the house next Christmas. Has anyone every used real garland for decorating INSIDE the house? I want to use more garland, bows and lights.
we used real garlands as table and mantle decoration, they are actually really easy to make, and can help non-christmas tree rooms to smell more christmassy :)
I am thinking about that as well, but for our new house... I think I want to make more things myself next year, like cut-out stars and snowflakes to hang in front of our windows =D i just hope i have time to do such a things next year, I have been having exams during the most important days before Christmas for years now, I deserve a calm Chrismtas!

my bronchitis still aint better....coughing and coughing.....all my stomach muscles are paining
take good care of yourself, hope you feel better soon!!

I saw that Seawaters was talking about some bad days at school. Well I always felt the most unappreciated job in the world is being a teacher. I have the utmost respect for teachers and feel they are very underpaid. I feel the same about police and firefighters. I think the priorities in this world are back wards, the wrong people make all the money.
you are totally right. Lately the dutch government wants to cut from the education budget AGAIN! every time they need to cut down on their budgets, education is first on the list... students have been protesting but of course that wont work... if they push their plans forward, I'll have to pay twice the normal education fee next year.. I feel awful just thinking about this...

I started a notebook for my future Christmas store a few days ago, I am making sure to write down my ideas as they come to me, I have filled up 4 pages so far. (...)I feel so good to have that goal right now, it is my passion to make the store come true and I will do everything I can to do it. First thing I will be doing this spring/summer is taking "field trips" to a bunch of different Christmas stores to get some ideas to make mine the best.
It sounds like a great goal! I really hope you get to open your own store!! It sounds likeyou are on the right path! Getting inspired by others who are in the bussiness is a great idea, and having 4 pages just filled with ideas is a great start!! Good luck!! :D

Hi all,
sorry for not posting yesterday, my mum is currently staying with me, and we are having a grtea time, so not had a chance to sit by a computer long enough to read all the posts, will catch up at some point soon!
sounds great: spending time with your mum is important... don't feel sorry for not posting ;)

Hi every one :)
Yesterday was great! I even got a Christmas pyjama pants! I have been looking for that for years! It is red with white dots... I'm still in discussion with myself on if I have to pack it away (and will I then be allowed to wear it first on Christmas eve, or in Chirstmas season), or do I get to wear it now??

Today we are going over to celebrate my brothers birthday! I made him a beatles cake, it is real simple but I like it :) Also it is a very heavy chocolate cake filled with a rolo ganache (delicious) :) can't wait to get there so we can eat it!!
That reminds me I still need to post pictures of my this years Christmas cake!
