Last evening, about 8:01 p.m. Pacific time, xmas365 made post 3,300! Hooray! We are cooking!!! Congrats, xmas365!

i have the utmost respect for teachers and feel they are very underpaid. I feel the same about police and firefighters. I think the priorities in this world are back wards, the wrong people make all the money. Entertainers and athletes get way overpaid, and people that serve the community in much more important ways are underpaid. Just my 2 cents, i mean i love sports and movies and stuff, just think the money they are paid is outrageous.

amen!!!

Good morning ... woke up feel very Chistmassy this morning so I grabbed a cup of coffee and enjoyed watching various Christmas episodes and commericals online. Makes me wish the Christmas Season was lot closer and I have been sitting here thinking about new ways to decorate the inside of the house next Christmas. Has anyone every used real garland for decorating INSIDE the house? I want to use more garland, bows and lights. Oh man these next 9 months are going to go by too slow for me.

Well got a lot to do today... Hope everyone has a great day!

Thank you, snow-in-texas, for your kind words. Good morning, Christmas friends. It is FOGGY here in northern California, so I hope it clears up before our out-of-town trip. We have made another milestone with over 3,300 posts. Only 76 to go to reach 3,400. My computer is still being tempermental. I guess it will have to visit Christmas-A-Holic's computer in the hospital and see if it can't sneak in a check-up! If possible, I will try to post before I leave today. I hope everyone has a great day.

Hi all, wow we are really high in the post count for this mornth and still have anthoer 2 days in the month, would be brilliant if we got to 3,500 posts by Monday night!!!
Hope everyone is well, my mum went back home today after spending the weekend with me! I am going home on thursday to see them at home though so at least thats not to far away!!

They are saying another storm is coming for Wed-Thurs and no day will be above 30*F so this snow will be going nowhere fast.

I heard that, too, but I was hoping I heard wrong ...

I feel so good to have that goal right now, it is my passion to make the store come true and I will do everything I can to do it. First thing I will be doing this spring/summer is taking "field trips" to a bunch of different Christmas stores to get some ideas to make mine the best.

I hope you're still in Massachusetts when you open it, so I can come see it!

Glad you had a nice visit, how far are you from home?

cheesy Merry greetings y'all - wanted to share a cute story with you!

One of my gifts from Christmas 2010 was the interactive book version of A Charlie Brown Christmas. As you read along with the story of Charlie Brown and friends the buttons along the right side play various voices and music pieces bringing the book to life and reminding the reader of the animated special. I have already read through it twice since Christmas, clicking on every button when prompted by an image on the appropriate page. I haven't picked it up for at least two weeks.

:tree: A few nights ago, O'Malley the cat was stretched out on the coffee table and he was sniffing my Peanuts book. Guess he's like me that way - nothing beats the smell of a new book! He touched one of the buttons during this inquiry process and it activitated the sound of music when Charlie Brown exits the rehearsal carrying his "special tree". O'Malley was intrigued by what he did.

You can read more about that in my update on O'Malley the Cat's blog titled A Charlie Brown Christmas CAT.

Love it !!!

Good Afternoon Friends , Hope all is well, My goodness did I sleep in !! until eleven am !!!!!Was up late watching the footage on the uprisings in Egypt. What a horrible mess. Im going to catch up on some posts. Wow January is almost history. I'm watching Charlie and the Chocolate factory right now on the ABC family channel ! Good stuff for sure!!!

Also trying to push myself in the direction of doing some creative endeavors today as well. Oh and since Seawaters is away this weekend we will all have to pick up the slack !!

I am finally able to get on here. I sure hope they fix my wife's laptop quickly.cheesy Just kidding, we share this computer when her laptop is in the shop, I don't mind at all. Hoe everyone is doing well and have a great weekend.

I saw that Seawaters was talking about some bad days at school. Well I always felt the most unappreciated job in the world is being a teacher. I have the utmost respect for teachers and feel they are very underpaid. I feel the same about police and firefighters. I think the priorities in this world are back wards, the wrong people make all the money. Entertainers and athletes get way overpaid, and people that serve the community in much more important ways are underpaid. Nurses and other med professionals are in this category in the underpaid as well I think !!

What creative things do you enjoy doing, Shinybrite? I like doing crafts - just finished a stained glass dove this morning...
Ohh, painting , and some otherthings that I really cant think of how or what to name them. lol I have an album of some things I make. pics arent good though. The things in the album are decoupaged images in birch wood and then handpainted and hand distressed to give tem an aged look and then I add diamond dust to them. I really like to paint and would really like to improve on that though. I d like to get those plaques "out there" in some more shops. I have had them in several in the past . If you knowe of a store in your area that sells uniques things like this let me know and I Will gt in touch with them to see if they are interested. I make the plaques for all holidays. and there are many more designs and images that I use. :)

They are very nice! Just lovely...

Hi Irishsnow!

Thanks Blue, I wish I has better pix, but I didnt think to take them. they do look better in person and they are bigger what they apppear . They are probably about 8lx 5 w. I think stained glass is neat. Takes a lot of patience Id say.

Good Evening Christmas friends! what a great day this has been as far as the weather has been.A high of 70F which we have not seen since late november. Its suppose to be cloudy and rainy the next few days and cool off again. I got my chores done that I have put off this whole month. I am about six hours by train or 10 hours by car, so its a long way for someone who loves his family and home very much! But it makes the holidays and weekends at home all the more special.

In a way, being so far away has made me understand and appreciate just how much I love it at home!
