Good evening Christmas family. Just dropping by really quick to say hello and to thank all of you once again for your encouragement. I can't remember who said it but one of our Christmas family said it is better to have work than to wonder where work is. This is ABSOLUTELY correct !! I have not been without work once since starting with the new company. That is the upside. The down side is that most of the work comes with a Spanish accent. That is not a dig at our Spanish speaking brothers and sisters. It is more a knock at myself because I can't understand what is being said. I don't have brains enough to learn a second language so kudos to all who can. (I know MerryCarey -2 for negativity, my bad !)

Well Off I go to the "trenches."

I understand what you mean about accents, I have always had a hard time understanding heavy accents, I had a customer come in and ask for aloomafoal, I couldn't figure out what he was saying, I asked him to repeat I think 3 times before I understood, he was asking for aluminum foil. I felt like a total moron. That was not the first time, just one of many times.

Good evening,

The basement is returning to normal, but the ground thawed and the wind blew my Santa Claus lamp over and his face is cracked and broken, I will try to super glue it to save it but I am so depressed that happened, we love that lamp. An actual day off tomorrow, have some plans for LC and I, since he cannot go to daycare tomorrow. My eyes are heavy, and body tired should probably get to bed soon.

It's sort of like a "contest" like the opera is really an "opera." I make up my own prizes: a straw from McDonald's which is what Binger won, a rock, one postit note; etc. Nope, Binger just happened to post the 5,900th email for Christmas Countdown. I think I am the only one keeping "count."

am I missing something here? Is there some contest involving emails or are you meaning the number of posts here in the countdown?

It is fun to see them grow up, I have that terrible 2's going on right now but graduating into horrible 3's in 2 weeks, but like Gremlins they have rules:

1. If I like it, it's mine
2. If it's in my hand, it's mine
3. If I can take it from you, it's mine
4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine
5. If it's mine, it must NEVER appear to be yours in anyway
6. If I am doing or building something, all the pieces are mine
7. If it looks just like mine, it's mine

Good evening/morning everyone! I can't sleep.I went to sleep at 8 then the phone rang at 1030 and I have been up since. I love the hotel I am at,I have a bed that you sink into but firm at the same time,if that makes any sence. And speaking of accents..I love the Boston accents I am hearing. MerryCarey and Xmas365 I think of you guys every time I hear it! today a guy told me to pull around to the back to pock my caah! I have a friend that lives in the western part of the state,but is a transplant from California so he has no accent,do you guys in the western part have an accent too? or rather do people tell you you do? When I lived in the UK for 15 years I was told all the time I had an southern accent,but when I moved back to the south everyone told me I talked like I was from Michigan!.lol accents are a neat thing..but then again maybe I am too strung out on cough medicine and tired so everything "seems" like a neat thing,please forgive me folks...and good night

At Hanscom AFB here we are under a river flood warning and it is suppose to rain/snow on weds night into thursday..also it is 24F now. I guess that is normal for here,March in Mass. is like January in Georgia. Actually it is colder now than it usually ever gets in Georgia..good night everyone!

Up at the top of this posting box (once you've clicked "reply") you'll see a whole bunch of symbols and stuff. You will also see the words "Fonts" and "Sizes"

If you click on "Sizes" it will drop down and show you the different sizes you can use. Decide which one you want and click on it. The next thing you type will be in that size. So, if you want the first half - ie Bing - in size 5, just click on the 5 and then type. You then want your underscore so put your cursor to the end (and by that I mean beyond the last thing you see, which should be [/size] ) then do your underscore as normal. You then need to do your "er" so, head back into the "sizes" and pick....say 7 and then just type!! It should work Sea__waters!!!!

Re the plaid tape - told you we were taking over the world. Baby steps ;-) !!!

Hmmmm..... I'm starting to smell a rat. During this opera delay, Bing has been spotted by a reliable(?) source hanging around the back door of the Shispering Pines talking with Carl. I suspect negotiations are in progress for a larger part for Carl in the next chapter in exchange for an exclusive coffee pipeline from the 'Pines lab.
(Just a rumor now, you understand.)

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The annual Rattlesnake Roundup is upon us again! It's a big deal for our little county, bringing in thousands of tourists. The Roundup is Saturday and Sunday. We have a large fairground-type facility that the Wildlife Club built where they have arts & crafts vendors, rides for the kids, live entertainment, snake handling and venom-milking demonstrations. There's a parade Saturday morning, and I have to ride in it for the City of Bellville Council...LOL!

Our church has a BBQ chicken plate fundraiser Saturday, so I have to be at the BBQ pit at 4 AM to help get the fire going and get the chicken ready go on. That's a nasty job! And that's all BEFORE I have to get cleaned up to ride in the parade.

After that, my daughter's dance class is putting on a short recital. Saturday is going to be pretty busy!
