The annual Rattlesnake Roundup is upon us again! It's a big deal for our little county, bringing in thousands of tourists. The Roundup is Saturday and Sunday. We have a large fairground-type facility that the Wildlife Club built where they have arts & crafts vendors, rides for the kids, live entertainment, snake handling and venom-milking demonstrations. There's a parade Saturday morning, and I have to ride in it for the City of Bellville Council...LOL!

Sounds like alot of fun!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It is going to be a nice day here with a high of 53 and sunny. I need to run a few errands this morning and then it will be back home to do some more laundry. My sister called last night and told me she has completely sold out of girl scout cookies. So now I can go to her house without that temptation. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Gotcha, minus two! Instead, think of it this way---you've GOT the brains, but you're too busy deciphering poorly enunciated English to take the time to learn a second language. I hope it gets easier, amigo.

I understand what you mean about accents, I have always had a hard time understanding heavy accents, I had a customer come in and ask for aloomafoal, I couldn't figure out what he was saying, I asked him to repeat I think 3 times before I understood, he was asking for aluminum foil. I felt like a total moron. That was not the first time, just one of many times.

I have to agree---I cringe when we have to call customer service for something, because I have to ask for things to be repeated several times until I'm sure I understand them. I guess I don't get around enough ...

The basement is returning to normal, but the ground thawed and the wind blew my Santa Claus lamp over and his face is cracked and broken, I will try to super glue it to save it but I am so depressed that happened, we love that lamp. An actual day off tomorrow, have some plans for LC and I, since he cannot go to daycare tomorrow. My eyes are heavy, and body tired should probably get to bed soon.

Good Tuesday morning all! I got off work an hour and a half early yesterday! Nice on a Monday too! Tomorrow...tomorrow....tomorrow is my birthday! Ill be 32. I don't feel 32. I still feel like in my early 20's. But getting older doesn't bother me! OH anyone out there with the new version of NORTON that has windows 7 there is an issue going around. If you are trying to open internet explorer and it says its not responding, update norton. Norton has said its an issue with their program. Just a little bit of info for ya! Have a great day all!

Good evening/morning everyone! I can't sleep.I went to sleep at 8 then the phone rang at 1030 and I have been up since. I love the hotel I am at,I have a bed that you sink into but firm at the same time,if that makes any sence. And speaking of accents..I love the Boston accents I am hearing. I have a friend that lives in the western part of the state,but is a transplant from California so he has no accent,do you guys in the western part have an accent too? or rather do people tell you you do? When I lived in the UK for 15 years I was told all the time I had an southern accent,but when I moved back to the south everyone told me I talked like I was from Michigan!.lol accents are a neat thing..but then again maybe I am too strung out on cough medicine and tired so everything "seems" like a neat thing,please forgive me folks...and good night

No accent here, in the western part of the state we don't have the accent, 90 miles seperates me from Boston and we found are R's somewhere around Worcester. cheesy

I forgot to add tonight to pay homage to my portuguese roots I ate at this great place in cambridge called Ataska Hampshire and it was very good,and I have a date with my waitress Thursday night too!

I think I will finally try to go back to sleep,I have been monitoring the weather reports here. At Hanscom AFB here we are under a river flood warning and it is suppose to rain/snow on weds night into thursday..also it is 24F now. I guess that is normal for here,March in Mass. is like January in Georgia. Actually it is colder now than it usually ever gets in Georgia..good night everyone!

24*F that is balmy, I think I will go out and get a windburn. cheesy The flooding is bad in this part of the state, they had to close route 20 because the Quaboag river was 2 feet deep on the road, the next town overs football field is a pond.

The annual Rattlesnake Roundup is upon us again! It's a big deal for our little county, bringing in thousands of tourists. The Roundup is Saturday and Sunday. Our church has a BBQ chicken plate fundraiser Saturday, so I have to be at the BBQ pit at 4 AM to help get the fire going and get the chicken ready go on. That's a nasty job! And that's all BEFORE I have to get cleaned up to ride in the parade.

After that, my daughter's dance class is putting on a short recital. Saturday is going to be pretty busy!

Happy lunch time,

We did our errands this morning, had to go to Kmart for a few things, and last time we were there they had a little Christmas left, and now nothing. So I got a touch of the "blues" without seeing any leftover Christmas stuff, but they had all their Easter decor out. I was jonesing for Christmas music and Merry Christmas Radio still says VIP, so I went on another site and am listening to some jolly tunes. LC is feeling better, and back to his normal self, annoying the cats and anyone else he can. Have a fan on and dehumidifier on trying to dry up the basement, almost there now.

BIG hockey game tonight, I cannot wait Bruins vs Canadiens should be a great game.

That is the funny thing about getting older Undrtakr! I still feel in my early 20's too. When I look in the mirror I still see a 20 year old looking back at me. However when I see old friends from high school I notice how much THEY have aged..denial sometimes can be such at great thing!: Happy Birthday too btw!!

Have a good Birthday, Undrtakr! My Gran never acted her age, and she lived to be 99. She said why should she? The nursing homes were full of people who acted their age. She was active until her last day, and sharp as a tack, too. That's what comes of feeling and acting young no matter how old you are.
