Last night, we watched Alice in Wonderland. It was fun, and my husband enjoyed it!!!!!

Have you ever seen the old Paramount version from 1933, with W.C. Fields as Humpty Dumpty, etc.? Lots of stars in it like Gary Cooper and Cary Grant, but so heavily made up as characters that you can't really identify them. But still a fun picture.

Tomorrow night, we are going to Red Bluff Elks Lodge for a party with a Larry, the Cable Guy theme. My husband went to the thrift shop and bought a shirt to take off the sleeves. I ordered him a hat from the Jeff Foxworthy store, so he should be set. Not me. I am going as a third grade teacher!

Git 'er done, Seawaters!

I hope everyone has had a pleasant evening. It's only 7:30 p.m. here right now PDT, so most of you are probably in bed. I went out earlier after the winds died down and made a turn onto a straightaway country road. I felt a tug to the right and knew something was wrong. Finally I saw the blinking red light that said my car was in the hot zone! I still had 10 miles to get home, so I turned up the heat as high as I could and that brought the temp down some--at least enough to get home. I was afraid to stop so I ran two stop signs (after I slowed to see that nothing was coming). I had the gas pedal all the way down and the car was SLOW!!! Finally made it home, but I will have to get the car fixed next week because we are going out of town tomorrow! Scary stuff. I probably should not have tried to make it home, but I was on a country road which was not, thank goodness. flooded. But I did not know if it were flooded further up the road. What is weird is that when I parked the car in the driveway and got out, I felt the hood and it was COLD!!! I hope not too many of you will tell me how dumb I was!!!

Good evening, Christmas family !!

Getting ready to start for what is my "Friday."

FINALLY !! The new job is starting to go a bit easier and I am AT LAST making the lines I am supposed to !! I pushed myself really, really hard to be at the point I am supposed to be even though I have until May technically. That is me, I guess. I don't see how taking it easy so to speak and putting of what needs to be eventually accomplishes anything anyway so I pushed and with the grace of God, I am making the line production I am supposed to.

Furchildren are all asleep. My beloved 96 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback, Clancy is asleep in my "bed" next to me. My little boy, Wishbone who will be 14 (I can't believe he is that old already:-?) is asleep on the couch under a blanket in the living room and Ivy, the Chihuahua is with her dad in their room. Smokey, the crazy Siamese is running around here somewhere but usually he stays up wtih me at night.

He occasionally meanders in and makes me take a purr break, i.e., he gets on my lap and says "pet me, NOW" So I do. I find for some reason that those purr breaks help me reach my lines easier !!

Well, I had better get to it !!

Take care, Christmas family xo

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is rainy, WINDY, and a chilly 43 degrees here in northern California. Winds are blowing around 30 mph with gusting to 60 mph. I was supposed to go to PT in Chico (45 minutes away, normally), but we also have heavy flooding so I would have to take a circuitous route, adding about half an hour to the trip. I guess March came in like a lamb and is going out like a lion!! Every once in a blue moon we get weather this bad and the schools have been closed due to flooding in the country and no way for LOTS of the kids to get in. So, while we might not get snow days, we do get flood days. Of course, I would rather play in the snow than in the flood!!! I hope everyone has a great day. I have really been smiling about all the dog/vet stories. Our cat pitifully mews all the way to the vet. We have to take her in a cat traveling box or she would be all over the car! Take care, no matter the weather!

Our cats scream on the way to the vets, they hate car rides.

Yuck, to hot for me, I would need a block of ice to sit on.

Have a good night at work CM3.

I did not either until my vet told me so,he said every spring here in the southeast he gets dogs coming in chewing thier fur off, that is what mine was doing she was licking and chewing her fur on her arms and legs and even tail off:( so thier symptoms are alot different, but yeah they get allergies too.:(

My mother in laws dog chews his legs raw sometimes after he eats certain foods.

Good evening,

The day is coming to close here, laying in bed reading todays posts. I watched my Bruins embarrass the Canadiens 7-0, I was cheering ecstatically and scared the cats a wee bit. My boys are doing great with swim class, LC is listening and enjoying the water, JP is jumping in and going underwater now. LC just turned 3 a few days ago, and I swear I see a difference, you can reason with him more, my boys are growing up so quickly JP will be 6 in a little more than 2 weeks.
I will be up to go to work in 6.5 hours.
So have a great night!

Glad you are making your lines. I can just picture your sweeties. They sound so cute, no matter how old they are!!!

Well, it ended up getting up to 54 and no wind so I played outside most of the day. Allergy season is in full gear here, so my head feels stuffy and my nose is running, but I don't feel bad.

Wife is coming home tomorrow, so there goes the peace and quiet! HAHA. I'm going to cook us something to eat tomorrow afternoon so we don't have to worry about it. She will be glad to see the all the clothes have been washed.

About to head to bed, but before I do, I'm going back to last years thread to see what I was doing at this time on Christmas Eve. Hard to believe it was three months ago. I know what I was doing three months and one night ago...David Letterman had a horrible guest on and we were waiting (anxiously) for Ms. Darlene Love. Can't wait for this year!

Let me be the first to say....Happy March Rudolph Day
