Awesome! Send me a message anytime if you want to chat about running. It keeps me motivated to talk about it. cheesy

My sister has taken up running, but even after a couple of years, she has to stay very intentional about it. If she doesn't have a race she is specifically training for she tends to get off track very easy. But when she's on - she's on! I have her kids tonight for her and her hubby is at work - so what did she decide to do? Go for a 10 mile run!

I can barely do 10 feet, let alone 10 miles! I think all of you are nuts for loving it, but the truth is, I very much admire people that are that can stick with it and have that kind of dedication.

I'm thinking a lot about Christmas these day. I have this strange urge to watch the yule log dvd LOL. My sister got it for me as a joke I think this last Christmas - but I really like it hahaha. I don't have a fireplace so this helps to give me that comfy, cozy feeling. Does anyone else use/watch that dvd? Thank goodness this countdown gives me hope that in only 267 days, my family will not roll their eyes if they knew I was watching it!
I love yule log! It was on On Demand on our cable tv and would turn it on all the time. I even recorded it. Go on ahead and watch it! Do what makes you happy.

I will start getting really in the mood by July 25th when QVC has their Christmas in July sale. Thanks to Made, he will keep us posted on the times and schedule.

She is doing great running 10 miles! It feels great after a good run. I have my brother to thank for keeping me in line. cheesy He runs all the time and competes.

Maybe you could hire Carl to help. I bet he would be a great caterer and entertainer!!

Hahaha! I just saw this reply Seawaters! After the outcome of the rice krispie treats, perhaps that would have been a great idea. May have to keep that in mind for next time. I think Carl woud be a great source of entertainment. And his fired twinkies would make a great dessert!

I'm SO looking forward to Christmas in July this year because we finally have cable for the first time in 5 years so that I can enjoy the shows and QVC.

She participates in races, but not sure she would consider her running to be "competing." She's done two 1/2 marathons and getting ready to do her third in a week or two. But if she isn't training for a race specifically, she loses focus.

I agree that usually we all feel best after a good workout or run. I agree with that completely and absolutely love the way I feel during and after working out - its just getting started that is difficult for me. I tend to lack motivation, ya know?!?

Yes, I know! I had to struggle with it big time. It's great once you get past a certain point you start to "crave" exercising. I have my days where I feel I need it and others where I procrastinate. Eventually I will get over the procrastination. Many years back I was a member of a gym for 5 years and after I got into the habit for a few months, I couldn't wait to get to the gym. I can't wait to feel that way again!

It must be something in the water because I just watched mine yesterday for awhile.cheesy

Only 113 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!cheesy

56 days to the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600!!!!!!!
212 days until Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!
235 days until Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!

I hope it all gets fixed and not cost too much.

If it is just the gasket it will cost about $100 dollars for the parts but if the head is cracked when I tear the motor apart it could top $1000. I think I am just going to put a can of stop leak in it for now and wait awhile before I tear the motor apart.

And on the very next day, April 27, we step through the 200-Day Season window into 100's territory.
(The year is moving right along, Guys!)

I knew that was a good day, it is my wife and I's 9th anniversary.

That sounds fantastic! We have a couple of air museums here but I am looking forward to my trip to go see the other ones I had mentioned. I cannot wait to see the SR-71 Blackbird! I will get to see it twice, Smithsonian and in Dayton. I think that is the coolest military aircraft. Too bad they don't fly them anymore. It almost looks like something from Star Wars.

It was used in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen as Jetfire

Goodnight Everyone!!!!!

Hello everyone!

I am sitting at the Jacksonville airport, waiting for my flight to arrive. On one hand I am ready to get back home to my boyfriend and our animals...on the other hand, I nearly cried hugging my best friend and her fiance goodbye. It really sucks that she lives so far away and we really only get to see each other twice a year (probably three times this year because of their wedding). But I had a great 8 days, even if we didn't get to do everything we set out to (stupid weather!!!!!).

Yesterday was the first nice day since the first day I was here (when we went to the comics convention in Orlando), so we did a lot of outdoor stuff. Gainesville has a thing called a planet walk, where they have statues that represent the sun and the planets, and it's true-to-scale form, and it was totally awesome. We then went around the University of Florida and other parts of G-ville we hadn't been to yet.

Last night, we went to a popular club called the Vault, and it was pretty awesome. Had a good time dancing and taking random pictures. :) It was a good way to end my vacation.

This morning was spent packing up, trying to find places for my ten cans of boiled peanuts (no making fun, everyone else in my life already has, lol!) as well as everything else I bought. I nearly had a heart attack trying to find my mp3 player (I can't travel without it), but eventually found it. Of course we got to the airport in enough time and had the nearly tear-inducing hug goodbye. I will really miss her, but I'm completely excited that the next time I see her (or possibly not, if they come up to visit this summer), she will be getting married! =D

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! I have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning to work both jobs! How's that for ending my vacation? :-?

Glad you had a great trip, it stinks to be getting right back to work so quickly.

Good afternoon Christmas family

Not a lot going on right now. We had a lot of things to do today, grocery shopping, went to Old Navy and cashed in my gift cards, then went on a trip scouting out a new feline child, which we did not adopt. It is not quite the right time. When it is time, I will know. That sounds funny but I will know.

Weather is chilly here. I am sitting in front of the fireplace typing this. Wishbone is at my side up against me as far as he can be. He is getting so old and I worry about him. He has been with me through so many rough times....such a sweet little guy. But they all are.

I changed my avatar and my signature as at this time of the year for me I feel I MUST do something outwardly to acknowledge our Lord and all He has done for me . Though it is a minute gesture, until after Easter, He will be my avatar and my signature. It is the least i can do.

I am looking forward to tonight. Just going to get snuggled in, in my room and probably watch Harry Potter. Not sure which one I will watch. I love them all. I "escape" to Hogwarts regularly except when I am "escaping" to Narnia.

Have a wonderful Saturday Christmas family, love you all each and every one.....xo

You are such a sweet, caring person.

Good early morning,

Up late catching up on the ol' countdown, my bro-in-law left an hour ago, he comes over to hang out with us and the boys once a week. We watched the movie Unstoppable with Denzel Washington, it was an intense movie that I really enjoyed. Day off today (Sunday) maybe the Sox will win their first game today, but my Bruins clinched the Northeast Division Saturday, here comes the playoffs!

Have a great night!

Good Morning MMC !
