Good Monday morning! It is a sunny warm day just as it has been for the last 25 days in a row and like it probably will be the next 25 days in a row. I set up an irrigation to my garden over the weekend because it is much too dry it is amazing how South Ga misses out on all the rain,it goes right over us each and every time! same with the snow in winter(grrr). My best friend since 9th grade that lives in TN is coming down next thursday and staying until the next sunday...and I am looking forward to the visit very much. Although we don't talk every day and we have moved in different directions in our lives we still visit once or twice a year. wow it has been 4 months since Christmas! in a way that is scary how fast it seems to be passing but in some ways the holidays seems like a very distant memory especially since the weather has turned so warm.Have a good monday everyone!

Wow, the milestones are flying by!

I hope everyone had a great Easter yesterday. We had beautiful weather here, and a lovely dinner at my Mom's house. We had some thunderstorms after dinner, but other than that it was a perfect spring day. Oh...we were watching the news and there was a story about how a large snake caused a power outage in Upper Marlboro; seems it crawled into some of the equipment and shorted it out. According to the report, 68,000 customers lost their electricity on Easter morning.

Good morning, Christmas friends. Sunny, breezy, and somewhat cloudy in parts of the sky here in northern California. Hubby and I watched a History Channel show on the Vatican last night. It was so interesting. Today we are going to Chico for hubby's visit with his appt for diabetes. He gets his levels checked every so often. Tomorrow I go in early for an MRI where they will put me to "sleep" or at least send me to lala land. I am extremely claustrophic and the MRI is not open so I need all the help I can get. Dinner is in the crockpot: stew beef, onions, beef shank, potatoes, barley, corn, carrots, and broth. I love coming home to a cooked meal. I hope y'all have a great day!

Good luck on the MRI! I had one a few years ago and although I never thought of myself as claustrophobic I simply could not do it...I kept pressing the emergency out button. I had to drive 3 hours to Atlanta where they had an open one. But I think if I was sedated I would have been able to do it,so Im sure you will be feeling rather good and won't have a care in the world.cheesy
This has me thinking totally off topic but when I was in the hospital in 2007 for stomach pains they did all kinds of tests before they made sure it was my gall bladder that needed to be removed...I have a huge fobia of anything going down my throat..and they needed to put this light down me into my stomach and I just knew it would be awful...however they gave me a shot of something and I totally made a fool out of myself from what I can remember....I suddenly wanted to chat everyone up but your not really suppose to talk with a hose running down your throat...I had a blast that day from what I can remember..I am always stressed, but not that day!..so If they give you what they gave me Seawaters...you will be just fine!

Now I am off to find a boat because I don't think it's ever going to stop raining. They are predicting a total of 7 inches between today and tomorrow.

Great news!!!!!!

Good morning!

Mouse is sticking to me like glue - on my lap as I type this. Yesterday while I was putting fringe on an afghan I finished crocheting for my autistic cousin she kept getting in the middle of my yarn. Very playful she was - she is going to be fifteen in a month so I love seeing her act that way!

I found some VHS tapes that are labeled Christmas movies. I have no idea what is on them, but I am going to watch one of them today.

I hope everyone has a Happy Rudolph Day!!!!!!!!
When I first read this I thought you meant the mouse to your computer is sticking to you like glue and your cousin was getting in the middle of your yarn! Then I re-read it and thought, "oh yeah! your furchild is named, Mouse! It was Mouse glued to you and caught up in your yarn. Doh! cheesy

I hope your hubby is good and keep us posted on your MRI.

Nice to start the new week with such wonderful news!

Good morning, friends. Stormy here, so it's been a long night. Dogs whining! Oh well, now it's time to get up and get ready for work. Should be a lighter week than the past three, but we will see. We only have around 5 or 6 weeks of school left, so things are going to start winding down.

Tonight, we are going to watch a movie and maybe order pizza. Wife doesn't have any work to do tonight and I'm just not going to do any. Started something new yesterday....seems like every weekend I'm running all over the place doing this and doing that. From now on, I'm going to stop on Sunday's and take that as a day of rest. No work. Did that yesterday and it was great!

Oh well, better get in the shower and get out of here...see everyone tonight!
Good idea to take Sunday as a day of rest. I've also tried this, unfortunately without success. That's because I have a bad habit to postpone some tasks. :-?

Good afternoon/early evening. I hope everyone has had a good monday. I just made chicken noodle soup homemade. It was a first for me and it turned out edible I guess, but then again I am like Mikey "i'll eat anything". Maybe I should have drained more of the grease out. I dunno...the good news is I took both my dogs to the vet to get thier nails clipped and they actually did not charge me extra and give them a frowny face because they did not attempt to bite this time!!!my daushunde had to get a shot and I had to learn how to start giving them to her for her allergies. The dr said it would probably be slower to work than the streriod shots he gave her last winter. So hopefully everything will work out with her! everyone have a great night!

Our Easter was beautiful.....church in the EARLY morning yesterday at 6am...then having breakfast in church with the other people, then visiting with grandma and gramp.....then home to eat and chill and later on spend the day with my bro and his fam....the weather was fab.....today, it is still Easter D we did an excursion to old an old castle and a musum with Kandice....so it was really nice....the best was yesterday at 5:45am while walking to church......Kandice turned around to me and said ....Momma I am so happy because Jesus woke up!!!

Glad you both will have peace of mind now!!

They tried to do an enclosed MRI about 15 years ago with no medication and I had to go home. I got in the tube and thought I was going to die. I think I will be in a good place. Hubby will be there to drive me home! Thanks for letting me know how your gall bladder test went!

Good luck on the MRI! I had one a few years ago and although I never thought of myself as claustrophobic I simply could not do it...I kept pressing the emergency out button. Hubby's doctor appointment went well. He got his levels down and the doctor was happy. We went to Costco and did some shopping and had Polish dogs for lunch. You can't beat their price: $1.50 for a large Polish dog AND a large diet Pepsi! I have to be in Chico for my MRI at 8:30 tomorrow morning. I hope to get on and say good morning before I go. Hope everyone has a great afternoon.

A fellow crocheter! I generally have something in the works. My hooks keep pretty busy.

Those VHS tapes sound like the perfect diversion for Rudolph Day. Let us know what you find!

.

I usually have something in the works, too. The first tape had one of my favorite movies on it: Christmas in My Hometown with Melissa Gilbert and Tim Matheson.

Oh...we were watching the news and there was a story about how a large snake caused a power outage in Upper Marlboro; seems it crawled into some of the equipment and shorted it out. According to the report, 68,000 customers lost their electricity on Easter morning.

That poor snake!

Good luck with your MRI! I only use the crockpot when I am home - afraid to leave the house with it still on because of the fur kids.

Now I am off to find a boat because I don't think it's ever going to stop raining. They are predicting a total of 7 inches between today and tomorrow.

I hope it doesn't flood out your way - they are predicting about an inch and a quarter in the next few days and the ground is already quite saturated. Still have to keep tabs on the basement - so far it has gotten very damp, but no visible puddles.

When I first read this I thought you meant the mouse to your computer is sticking to you like glue and your cousin was getting in the middle of your yarn!

Sounds like the chicken soup my mom used to make it - according to my dad, the more grease the better as it flavored the soup. Hope the shots work for your dog!

the best was yesterday at 5:45am while walking to church......Kandice turned around to me and said ....Momma I am so happy because Jesus woke up!!!

I love it! Kandice comes up with some real good ones!!!

Hubby's doctor appointment went well. He got his levels down and the doctor was happy.

That's good news!

We had to take our cat back to the vet because he is still sick and had to stronger antibiotics. I worry so much when my babies are sick. I wish they could tell you what's wrong. :-?

The vet feels confidant he should fully recover. I won't be happy until he does!

He is a good vet. He only charges $15.00 for an office visit and all medication he prescribes is reasonable.
