Happy Easter everyone!!! I hope you all had a great day with family &/or friends! It rained here all day! We went to my hubby's parents for lunch & then to my sisters in the afternoon for supper. We had a great time at both places. So fun to see everyone. BABIES EVERYWHERE!!! :D FOOD EVERYWHERE!

I did find out tonight though that my brother is going in for a scheduled PET Scan tomorrow - but he is worried about it b/c he is having back pain again - which was his 1st symptom when he found out he had Non Hodgkins Lymphoma last year! They tell him it could be healing pains, so I am hoping & praying that is what it is. But it has me really worried. :( So any prayers for my bro would be appreciated - PET scan tomorrow & doc appt. on Wednesday for results. He was just out a few weeks ago & he looked so good & he said he was feeling good at that point too. It was April 24th last year when I found out he had cancer... now today I find out he's having pain again - I am starting to really dislike April 24th!! :( He has been cancer free since August. Fingers crossed!

Christmas-A-Holic, the 5k yesterday was great. Such beautiful weather. I started out running with a high school friend but couldn't keep up with her. Lol! I walked maybe a 1/4 of a mile & I caught up with my neighbor & jogged the rest with her. I finished in 31:25 - a personal best. So now I have a goal to jog the WHOLE thing next time! Oh boy....

Make it a great night!

I will keep your brother in my thoughts

Good evening,

Well, I am feeling swine-esque after all the food I consumed today. I have to roll myself to bed shortly, back to work tomorrow for Rudolph day. The boys had a great Easter, they were exhausted LC passed out on the way home. Watching the movie Role Models, I love that movie, just really funny.

Hope you all had a great Easter.

Have a great night and see you on :rudolph: day!

Happy Easter everyone. We had a huge meal. We had turkey & ham with corn, mashed potatos, gravy and stuffing. It felt like Thanksgiving. Afterwards a lot of the adults and kids went to the park and had a water fight(water guns and balloons) to burn off the calories.

It's that time. New week, new trip to the Pines....already ready for next weekend, but I am excited about this week with everyone.....

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all had a great day!

We've had a rough weekend here in St. Louis with very severe tornados on Friday night. It hit the airport and shut it down for almost 2 days. There were entire neighborhoods that were completely leveled. A very close friend of mine's house was hit by the tornado and the house is not going to be salvageable. Her 19 year old daughter was home by herself when they got hit and had some injuries, but she is out of the hospital now. They have a friend with a rental property that is with out tenant right now, so thank God they have a place to go and they are all safe and together. God protected so many - there were no fatalities and very few minor injuries - despite this being an EF4 tornado.

I'm just resting up now before heading back to work tomorrow. The new Chick-fil-A is still going WAY above projected sales right now and so I'm working like crazy. I've got to get some people hired so that I can slow down to a 50 hour week instead of the 87 hours I did last week. I don't think I can keep that up for long!

Good news is, tomorrow is Rudy day and I'll find a way to fit in some Christmas spirit and hopefully that will keep me energized. 245 days till Christmas!

Good morning, friends. Stormy here, so it's been a long night. Dogs whining! Oh well, now it's time to get up and get ready for work. Should be a lighter week than the past three, but we will see. We only have around 5 or 6 weeks of school left, so things are going to start winding down.

Tonight, we are going to watch a movie and maybe order pizza. Wife doesn't have any work to do tonight and I'm just not going to do any. Started something new yesterday....seems like every weekend I'm running all over the place doing this and doing that. From now on, I'm going to stop on Sunday's and take that as a day of rest. No work. Did that yesterday and it was great!

Oh well, better get in the shower and get out of here...see everyone tonight!

You did fantastic on your 5k! There is nothing wrong with run/walk. If you google Jeff Galloway, he has a walk/run program for people running marathons and they do great at it. I might have to do that during the 5k in May if I don't reach my goal by then to run the whole thing.
Just got back from family cookout....had BBQ sandwiches and homemade ice-cream. Yummy. I love the "getting together" and celebrating. Such good times. This will hold me over until the 4th of July. That will be a big one, which will hold me over until Labor Day, which will hold me over until Halloween, and that leads to the BIG TWO! PLUS WE GOT CHRISTMAS IN JULY IN THERE!!! AGH....it's almost too much to stand!

So happy for all the blessings in my life. Great family, friends, and Christmas friends....I have truly been unfairly blessed.
Sounds like so much fun! I wish I could get all of my family together on every Holiday. I only succeed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

How scary for your friend's daughter! I am glad she is going to be ok.

Yesterday was nice. My job was closed on Easter but Wayne and I only went there to feed all the animals. It took about 45 minutes.

Then headed to church for their Easter service. My son, daughter, son-in-law, 3 grandkids, my next door neighbor and her mother met us up there. Right after the service they had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. My 1 and half year old granddaughter is new to it and only found three eggs. A nice little boy came up to her and gave her a bunch of his eggs. How sweet!

We then went to Souper Salad for lunch. After that, a totally lazy day laying in bed watching movies all day about Jesus until we fell asleep.

What a great day!

Hi Holiday ! Will certainly pray for your brother!! I understand your panic -my stepson was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma last year and has been cancer free for less than a year. His next scan is in May. May the blood of Jesus Christ touch your brother all through him and all around him........xo

In a bit of sad news, a close friend's father passed away this morning . . . If you could please pray for or send good thoughts to his family, I would greatly appreciate it.

I will keep them and you in my prayers!

CM3, you can feel so good that the ripples from the pebble you tossed into our pond are touching so many people! Thank you for reminding us why we celebrate Easter and how blessed we are to share that with each other. Seawaters, what a great idea to share that poem with your congregation!

.

Well said, Merry!

Thank God there were so few injuries!

Good morning!

Mouse is sticking to me like glue - on my lap as I type this. Yesterday while I was putting fringe on an afghan I finished crocheting for my autistic cousin she kept getting in the middle of my yarn. Very playful she was - she is going to be fifteen in a month so I love seeing her act that way!

I found some VHS tapes that are labeled Christmas movies. I have no idea what is on them, but I am going to watch one of them today.

I hope everyone has a Happy Rudolph Day!!!!!!!!

Happy Rudolph Day to all! Wish it were sunny and bright here, but we're back to chilly, gray, damp days. I'm ready for April showers to end.

My fingers are crossed for you and your bro. As a veteran of Hodgkins, I know what a trial it is to go through treatment. Here's hoping it's just a simple backache and nothing more insidious.

A fellow crocheter! I generally have something in the works. My hooks keep pretty busy.

Those VHS tapes sound like the perfect diversion for Rudolph Day. Let us know what you find!

Good morning! Another rainy Monday!! Ahhhhh....

Thank you all so, so much for the wishes & prayers for my brother. I sure hope his scan brings back all good news! Scary for sure! I should call my Mom to see what time the scan was scheduled for today. I'm hoping it was early this morning & it's over & done for him!

And... HAPPY RUDOLPH DAY!!!

Good Morning, Everybody.

Up and at 'em to greet a new week.
A week that will see not one but TWO Milestones pass:

Days to the Season: 202
Days to Christmas Day: 244
TOMORROW! Milestone # 6 - the 1/3 mark to Christmas day!
And the following day, we pass through the 200-day Season Window into 100's territory.
(Hey! Our next Milestones have really crept up on us, haven't they?)

Sunny and calm here with the temp already at 73 degrees.
We are headed for 85 this afternoon according to the weather service then rain will move in for Tuesday through Thursday.
(Great for pollen removal!)

You have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!
I hope the new week treats you well.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Swine-esque. That's a good one!

We had a great day yesterday. After church, we went to a family Easter dinner-on-the-grounds at a cousin's house, with a huge egg hunt, pinata, sack races, etc. Then we went to my in-law's for another egg hunt and more food. Whew! I think I could lay a few eggs myself after all of them I ate yesterday!

(After re-reading my last line, I need to clear up the meaning. I didn't mean..well, you know what I meant. cheesy)

Anyhoo, it's back to business as usual here at work, so I better get back on it. Happy Rudolph Day!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy
