Good news!

My cat appeared to be getting worse and I was worried we might have to take him back to the vet. Today, he is up venturing through the house and eating better. For the past week he mostly laid in one spot or just in my lap. I am glad he is getting curious again and roaming around. He is not fully recovered but it's a good sign!

I am about to call it a day here folks,I am going out to eat and to a movie to watch Scream 4. Although I do not consider the 'scream' movies horror I do like them. I have been waiting for part 4 since part 3 came out in 2000! anyhow have a good friday night everyone and I will talk to yall tomorrow!

Fairy Tale:

I just heard from one of my best friends in high school. (I'll call her Sue.) We had lost touch over the years, but with Facebook and the wonders of technology, we hooked up today.

When I was in 6th grade, I met and "fell in love" with a boy I will call Steve. He was a year older and so, so shy. We lost touch and I did not see him again until I was a freshman in college. My friend Sue and I worked at the same restaurant as Steve. Sue fell head over heels for Steve. Alas, he was married. About five years ago, Sue and Steve got together after his divorce and they married!! It was a dream come true for her. She always said he was her first love. How true!! I did have to remind her, though, that I saw him first!!!

And I learned this, today, on the same day as another fairy tale wedding!

Well, I am blessed to be here! Tornadoes all around us on Wednesday night. Trees & power lines down all down our road. DH works for the electric co-op & got home at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, having to leave his truck at the end of the road & walk home in the dark. I don't know if he even had a flashlight with him, since I haven't talked to him much since then. He woke up at 7:30 a.m. and went back to work until late last night. DD & I were in bed at 10 p.m. and he still wasn't home. He went back in today & I don't know when we'll see him again! We were out of power for almost 24 hours. There are still people without power & might be out for days still.

SIL just texted me that her former house was blown away in the tornado. The entire subdivision, save two houses, is gone! People have found debris from Alabama & Georgia in their yards.

It was just me & DD, camping out in the basement bathroom. DD said she was scared of the storm. I asked her who protects us, and after thinking of Daddy & Mommy, she remembered that Jesus takes care of Mommy & Daddy too. We had just discussed that praying was talking to Jesus just like talking to anyone else. She laid down between the tub & toilet & said, "Jesus, please protect us. Amen." Then she fell asleep and snored through the storm!

We have lots of tree limbs & leaves in our yard & driveway, but otherwise, we escaped any harm to life or property. I have never felt more blessed than I do now.

RATS !!!!

My eating obsession is going nuts again !!! I know I can afford a few pounds but that is the point, I cant just gain a FEW. It's my personality - ALL OR NOTHING. Have always been like this. I HATE IT !!! I try to stay away from foods that I know are going to "trigger" me into a binge........But it is not working. I have tried it all........tried thinking of other things, working out, reading, etc. The dang food has this little voice that ALWAYS get me......"Oh Caninemom3.......come on, have a little snack on us.......we wont hurt you........" Okay. Now you all now I am certifiable.

Seriously, I am really quite frightened. It is true what they say. One bite too many and 1,000 bites are not enough.......If I gain it back this time my old lady metabolism will not let me lose any more......Still I have this stupid compulsion.......I know what will happen if I act on it .............but I can't stop myself.

Okay. Crazy Canine rant over. Please say a prayer okay ? xoox

wow!!! i have never been more proud to be british, this wedding is so beautiful.

our princes look so handsome and kate middleton is so stunning.

i wish i had gone down to london for the day and watched it in hyde park, the atmosphere will be amazing. instead i'm spending the day at home with tea and crumpets, but i may pop to one of the street party's later if i feel better (sore throat and chesty cough)

anyway christmas friends, i've had no computer for a while, but it's fixed and i have it back now, so let's get planning christmas 2011!!!!

I tried to catch up on all post but really behind.

What a day yesterday! It was good and bad. The last time I was on here was yesterday morning and wanted to get on here last night but just didn't have time and worn out.

I went to the gym and made a mistake to eat a big breakfast and then ran 2 miles on a full stomach. What a big mistake! I felt terrible all day. They warn you not to ever do that and I knew better but did it anyway. My stomach was in knots all day and just made me sluggish.

I also had my grandchildren for 11 hours feeling crummy. I made the best of it and we went to the mall with my mom and son and had a nice time. So that was good!

By the time the kids left I collapsed and had no energy to get on here. All night last night my stomach gave me fits and I didn't sleep well. I guess it doesn't help that in the past I have had chronic stomach issues so I have to be super careful with my diet and now I know not to run on a full stomach!

I am usually up very early and was going to watch the Royal Wedding but slept in and missed it all. Oh well, the news is covering it all.

I bought one of those XM Radio receivers for my truck and installed it yesterday. Nancy's car has it built in, and I LOVE the All-80's channel! She gave me a dirty look for spending the money, but it's worth it to me to spend some of my stashed money whe doesn't know about. Duran Duran, anyone? cheesy

It looks like my day is going to be extremely lazy and I think I am just going to go with it and enjoy every minute of it!

I have been going non-stop for 7 days straight including watching the grandkids for 11 hours a day. Wow! It's so different from when I was raising children myself 24/7 but now that I am not raising little ones anymore, I feel more worn out watching them for 11 hours a day!

Good afternoon!

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the river in my neighborhood. We are about a mile from the river and usually don't have problems when it floods, but the basement has a puddle in it now since there was so much rain. It isn't big enough to pump out yet, but I keep checking it every hour.

Mouse seems better - thank you to all for the prayers! - she is keeping to herself today and hanging out by the heater.

It is going to be a long day and I only had about an hour of sleep. Should sleep great tonight, though!
