Seawaters - I hope you're okay!! And everyone else who was having back pains, I hope you are all feeling better!

What a couple of days, huh? Osama being caught...most people seem to be celebrating, but I just can't bring myself to do that. I worry about retaliation attacks and the like, and most people I know haven't really thought about that. It's amazing though, and I'm very proud of our troops!

I am very proud of them also!

I understand why people fear of retaliatory attacks, but I remember after 9/11 I was fearful of quite a few things, but I learned not to worry about it, if it is my time to leave this earth, it is my time. I will not celebrate in someones death, but I do have a sense of satisfaction of what has been accomplished.

Love this answer!

Mwahahaha! When it comes to Christmas movies I have no shame! none! I will openly admit I will watch lifetime around the holidays if a good movie comes on...meanwhile I have not seen it in forever...even thier falalala lifetimes or whatever they call it special Xmas programming stinks anymore. cheesy

I am going to check into all these dvd suggestions. Thanks, everyone!

I have been wanting Rick Steves' European Christmas on dvd for a couple of years now. I was shopping around yesterday on Ebay for it and found a few used ones from 9-15 bucks and some new ones from 14 bucks on up. Some of the feedbacks on some of the sellers were not so good. :-?

I googled it and Target has it brand new for $13.57! I ordered it and it should be here in a few days. I am so excited!

Hey, I'm not saying I've never watched Lifetime. Sometimes when I'm in trouble I have to.

That sounds like a tough punishment, my wife makes me watch Teen Mom 2, talk about 60 minutes of your life you never get back. But I love her and it means spending time with her its worth it.

Wow.lol I edited it...sorry about that folks.lol actually the food is okay...I like the crab legs and seeing the servers dance when thier special song comes on...I like sitting on the beach most of all while I sip a corona!

Crap shack, that is priceless, I can't stop laughing

I usually prefer an action movie any day over a chick flick. I do like a few "girly" movies but not many.

At Christmas time, however, I like the sugary sweet fantasy type movies with the perfect ending! Lifetime has those type of movies for me. Christmas is about the only time of year I watch Lifetime channel. cheesy

I can't bring myself to watch it, I guess its the chauvinistic side of me that won't let me watch the channel, even the Christmasy stuff. I do watch some Hallmark Channel though.

Congrats! I love finding hard to find stuff and getting a good deal on it.

Good evening,

It has been a looooonnnnng day, I did go get my haircut and no longer have the look of a Xmas365 Chia Pet, I think she shaved of a pound or two of hair just to get it back to what I like, and now my hat fits better. Then I came home and mowed the lawn for the first time in 2011, I hate doing yardwork, but it is done for a week. It is supposed to be rainy and chilly for the next few days so I had to get it done. Back to work tomorrow.

Have a good night!

Today's lesson of experience: Always check your pockets before you do laundry. I didn't, and my little Sansa Clip MP3 player---with an extra MicroSD card inserted---went through the washer. :( It bricked the MP3 player, of course, but amazingly, the MicroSD card is okay, and I had most of my music on that.

The good news is I was able to get a new 4GB Clip for the price I paid for the old one, which was 2GB. The bad news is, the old one was less than a year old ... oh, well, live and learn.

Wow, six more posts and I'll hit 1,500 ... I talk too much.

Thank you Xmas. I was trying to think of how to phrase my feelings and you just did it for me ! xo

Good evening, everyone. Today was a total ORDEAL!! First off, I had to watch a (dumb) dvd for administering the state test. It is a repeat, one that's just not conducive to being attentive. I put it into my dvd player at school and could not get anything. So I went to Wal-Mart to get a battery for the remote. It still wouldn't even power up. Then I tried it on my school computer yesterday, but no go, unless I wanted to pay to download another program. The dvd said that an error occurred and could only be viewed on Windows 7. So, I brought the dvd home and it still would not play. I knew I would have to get up early and see what to do about another dvd at school. The principal sent me to the computer lab, but the computer guy had the computer fixed so only he could get on the one that would play the dvd. The principal had access to his passwords, so she fixed it so I could watch it. By this time, the bell was ready to ring; so the principal said she would take my class so I could view the dvd. I viewed the dvd and went back to my classroom. The kids were WILD when I got back to the classroom!!! I had two kiddos who had to take the assessment in an alternative area. I sent them to the place where they needed to be and started my portion of the test. We finish up except for one girl who took another 40 minutes to complete the test! She pretended to be sick, so I told her to keep the trash can nearby so she could vomit into it. She finally decided she didn't need it! During this, I had to set up my new student who started today! Then, I had a student who started the test by trying to answer the questions WITHOUT even reading the passages. When I confronted him, he said, "Am I supposed to read the story?" I wanted to pitch him into next week!!! I had one student whose mom did not give him his medication today and he was off the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also ended up having to suspend a student because he didn't want to do what he was supposed to do!!! What a day, I tell you!!! Thanks for listening to my rantings. I need to retire!! People seem to have priorities mixed up and want to blame teachers for everything and not accept responsibilities themselves. This is CRAZY!!
