It's a beautiful day here in Maryland; not so hot, and nice and breezy. I was running early this morning so I got myself a biscuit at Hardees, and just sat on the parking lot with the car windows down, eating it. A few minutes later, a car further down the parking lot caught fire. There was all sorts of excitement with fire extinguishers, fire trucks, and an ambulance. Fortunately, it wasn't too close to any other cars, and the firemen were able to put out the fire before anything drastic happened. Nobody was hurt, and it was all over fairly quickly. The front of the hood was melted (the firemen opened it); that's how hot the fire was. Pretty exciting; I'm glad the firehouse is close by!

Hello Again Christmas family.......Sleep is evading me this morning.....but no matter.....I will catch it sometime.........

I just wanted to post this pic of my Wish. He used to go outside and get really really dirty then he would need a bath......this is the "after shot" when he had gotten his bath and was wrapped in towel to keep warm........xo

How sweet!

We are all okay. Our house is okay.

Just very traumatized I live in Monson, MA, and all the destruction and devastation happened a less than a mile from where we live, I know they have shown the big white church on the national news, we live less than 1/4 mile from there. What we have witnessed is so scary, the tornado went through our yard causing just branches to be knocked down and knocking over our swing. My aunt & uncle lost their house, friends of ours houses are completely gone neighborhoods are decimated the mountain looks like it was shaved trees broken like toothpicks. People were crying in the street, we were never ready for anything like this, we occasionally get tornado warnings but nothing ever comes of them. I am so emotionally drained right now trying to keep a straight face for the boys. The boys are scared every time they hear an airplane or truck they think its another tornado coming. I will post again when I can, we don't have any power, and are at a friends house two towns away. It sounds like a war zone where we live, lots of sirens rumbling trucks chainsaws.

We are safe and thanks for the concern.

THANK GOD you and your family are physically ok. We have been worried sick about you all. I am so sorry for the traumatizing event you, your family and friends all had to go through. I am so sorry your kids are frightened. It might take awhile for them to get over this. I will say a prayer for you all.

Holy smokes. Talking about striking close to home. Thank goodness you and yours are well. I understand especially the bit about putting on a brave face for the kids. We went through an earthquake that was traumatic once and the kids came a bit unglued, which you can't blame them for. I totally get what you're saying.

This event will stick with you guys for a while. It sure humbles you, that's for sure. Please take care and be watchful for things like power line issues, and gas smells and high up objects that aren't stable. I dare say 'normal' may be a way off for a while in your neck of the woods.

Please know we are very concerned for you!

My prayers are with you all. Don't keep a straight face for the boys, let them know how much this upsets you too, they need to know they are not the only ones who are scared. Talk to them as much as you can, it helps to make every one calmer when fears are shared. It is a terrifying thing to go through. I am grateful you are ok, and am crying for the loss of those around you.

hey folks, how u doing?

What an awful experience ... so glad to hear you're safe, but so sorry you had to go through what you did, and so sorry to hear about the losses your friends and family suffered.

I'm so sorry for all of this. I thank the Lord you guys are ok.

I do have a good story as of right now. We were walking around the town and went by a home that had been reduced to rubble, the homeowner was searching through the rubble trying to find his dog. I just read online the firefighters rescued his dog ALIVE! late this morning. There have been no reports of any deaths in my town, just some injuries, and scared people.

I have posted some pictures of sights around my town.

Oh my goodness xmas - Thank the Lord you and your family are ok. How frightening!!! I hope you, your wife, and boys can quickly find some peace with this. What a terrible thing to happen in your town!

Oooo. I wish I could get one. We don't have Hardees here in northern California. When I was growing up in NC I used to love just to get a Hardees butter biscuit." Yum!

So, so glad you are okay. Thinking of you and all the others. Stay safe!

Good afternoon, everyone. I just finished looking at Xmas' pictures of the tornado aftermath. How devastating! I hope everyone else is safe. This is a crazy year for weather. I hope to get back on the computer later. Until then, have a great evening.
