Good morning, Christmas friends. It is clear and is supposed to be in the 80s today in northern California. I had a fitful sleep last night. Had to take cough medicine with codeine to try to keep from coughing with these broken ribs. Like Jeff said, even breathing is difficult. During the school day, I am restricted to over-the-counter pain medication. When I get home today, though, out come the big guns!! Binger, with all the stuff going on weather-wise, health-wise, and nature-wise, is it time for another opera? I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It is going to be another hot one here in central Indy with an expected high of 94 and high humidity. We get a littler bit of a cool down tomorrow with a high of 88. I need to run to the grocery store this morning and then it will be back home to enjoy the air conditioning. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

I almost forgot

WOOHOO only 200 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:???:

hmmmm EARTHQUAKE OPERA..... hmmmmmmmm just maybe,,,,

It was a dark and stormy night- Crown, hearing and feeling the eartyhequake arises to see jayish dancing the paus du lux entitled " Ode to a sinkhole.." while Made and Coach sing the aria.." Nascar.. round and round ye goes.."

YABBA!

Run with it, Binger!

My hands are trembling....my fingers can barely touch the right keys.....

"Why?"

Because I can't believe I'm posting the countdown on a milestone....makes me want coffee (hoping this is a first that the poster of the countdown admits they want to drink coffee)!

Here it is guys, gals, and gender-neutral friends.....

Days to the Season: 158
Days to Christmas: 200

Wow! Don't that rounded number look nice. Tomorrow, into the 100's!!

You did that like a pro, Coach---no need for nerves!

tornadoes, gout, scorching weather, earthquakes, broken bones, sounds like the making of one of those end of the world movies.
Praying that everyone who is having a rough time is soon out of it and feeling better and more stable.

... plus Bradmac's broken toe! Christmasstar said it best. Hope that things settle down soon!

Last day of school here. I don't know why they call it that because the kids have been messing around for weeks now. We live three doors down from an elementary school and late last week I found a group of 6th graders out on my front lawn under our tree, sitting around and laughing it up. I thought it was a school class, actually. They were out there for a long time.

Finally I went out to ask them what was up and they more or less told me they were in their last days at the school and were skipping out on class. They didn't care because they were all moving on to middle school next year. I couldn't believe the attitude.

My sprinklers went on a little while after all of that and they left. Don't know how that happened.

Ha ha! That's great!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

OUCH!! I think I broke my big toe!! I was playing keepaway with our dog, Lulu, last night. I lunged to get the tennis ball from her, but tripped over Elizabeth's beanbag, and I really hurt my toe. Here at work, I have on one tennis shoe and one flipflop. My toe is black & blue and bleeding around the back of the nail. OWOWOW!

We had family-nite supper (first Tuesday of the month) at my in-laws last night. We had breakfast for supper....I love that!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I hope your toe gets better quickly, that really sounds painful.

Well, I was feeling better until I got up to go into the kitchen. I realized that my back and chest were killing me. Then I had a coughing fit again and decided that I could not go with hubby. I went to school and then left at lunchtime to go back to the doctor. They did more xrays and found two broken ribs, #4 and #5. No wonder it was killer to cough!

I hope they heal quickly.

Wowzer - what a day! Started at 3:10am-ish when I was woken up by a 4.2 magnitude earthquake that was centered about 50 miles outside of St. Louis. It doesn't happen too often around here - I think the last one was 3 years ago that was actually noticeable. There was no damage here in the area, just people that noticed the windows rattling or what not. Just enough to spark some conversation.

Then we had a long, but slow day at work. Just one of those days where I had a list 10 miles long of things to get done, but everyone else and their mom needed the world's problems solved instead. So instead I stayed 3 hours late AND still only got about 1/4th of my list done. Argh, nothing like feeling completely unproductive.

When I finally got to my work, I sat down in the office and turned on some Christmas music on my pandora ap on my phone to help me focus. It really helped calm me down and get me back on track. I love that feeling cheesy One of our newer managers came in the office and he has not heard yet about my love for Christmas. He was a little taken aback at first, but before I knew it, he was humming along to the tunes with me! Hope that I was able to spread a little Christmas cheer today.

So now it is time to decompress and just let today's frustrations melt away and carry on tomorrow with a fresh slate. Those are nice to have sometime and I'm thankful that each day we have that chance!

~Laney

glad the quake wasn't serious. I am glad you were able to share your love of Christmas with a coworker.
:tree:

Cooler today, very windy with approaching thunder storms. I love the summer thunderstorms here in Utah. They arrive, announce their authority with earth-shaking drama, then go away after cooling everything down.

Woke up today with gout in my foot. Mom's been through this many times but it is a first for me. I'm ticked -- and worried. Had no idea it could be so painful.

I hope the gout clears up quickly.

Hope Philadelphia is ready - he's airborne!! Here we are at the airport (hey - it's a "mom" moment!!!!)

Good morning,

I slept well last night, except for an issue with a cat around 1am. I hate when they meow so loudly when were sleeping. I finally got the courage to drive to the center of town to pick up a newspaper, still so shocking to see the naked mountainside as you drive in to town. They have done a bit of work, they are trying to save the old school, they knocked down the house that was knocked off its foundation. But it is somewhat looking like normal except the grocery store is still closed.

I am watching The Real Story of Christmas right now recorded from History Channel. I just needed something Christmasy on. I leave for work in a little more than an hour, but I should be home for the start of the second period of the Stanley Cup Final game 4 tonight. Go B's!

Have a great day.
