The kids totally loved this game today. I have two high school aides who had never played it, and they had a blast. The kids caught on really fast. I had them play in groups of four. I told them they would be using multiplication and addition skills, and they would also learn strategies. We played the first game as a whole class so they could watch me and hear me talk out the strategies. Then they played in groups. They really started to use strategies and helped one another with both strategies and suggestions. It was fun. At the end of the day, they were hyped and said they hoped we play it again tomorrow!

I use to play that as a kid, whenever I use to roll a Yahtzee I use to "spike" the cup like a football player does after they score a Touchdown.

Good night, everyone, I'll be back next week trying to get caught up! Rats, I'll miss the 'Pines this week ...

Have a great vacation!
I'll keep the Massachusetts portion of the posts going in your absence. cheesy

Thanks, xmas! cheesy

I LOVE standards and swing! My husband says I should've alive in the 40s and 50s!

If you love swing---I wish you could see some of the 1940s B-movie musicals that featured swing bands and singers. For some reason, they don't get shown on TV or released to video---probably they feel that the names aren't well enough known today. (How do I know about 'em? We know film collectors ...)

Good evening,

Work was work, I got to see LC perform at his preschool for the kids that were graduating to Kindergarten, he was so cute singing. My sister will be coming for a visit from South Carolina with her family in August, it will be the first time I get to meet my nephew. Day off tomorrow, school year is over here, the last few weeks were really tough on everyone around here with the aftermath of the tornado, they were going through the motions the last few weeks just for normalcy reasons. The town grocery store won't be re-opening until late August, we didn't realize how often we went there until its not around.

Have a great night!

Are you really going to visit Gloria Jean? How cool is that?

Yes, we are! We wrote her biography a few years ago and became friends. We try to visit her once a year---we take her out for lunch and for ice cream and sit and talk with her by the hour! She's 85 now and a fascinating lady. You can see an overview of her Hollywood career here on YouTube.

G'night, folks!

This sounds heavenly. Wish I were going to be there!

And with this post, Happyelf is poster #12,600. For her efforts, she wins a paper bag from McDonald's. It even still smells like the cheeseburger mini-meal!

What?!!! You can change the TV without a remote!! Unheard of! cheesy
Not recommended, lol!!

That's one of the reasons how my wife and I fell in love, we use to go to swing dance lessons when we were just friends.
That is so neat! Wish my hubby would do something like that but he's more of a "rocker" type..

I HATE the summer, I prefer being outside when its in the 30's or 40's. Did I mention I HATE summer.
YOU AND ME BOTH!!! On our way to the park eveyr morning, Jude has been saying , "I like the cold air better. I like to make snow angels!" Even at 3, sooo smart! :snowball:

I love old movies but my husband isn't a fan so I don't get to watch much!

Aww, how cute! I look forward to going to school shows when the kids are older.

It must be so hard to see all that devastation and not have the normal "things" you have been used to. Glad they are fixing and rebuilding - hope everything is "normal" soon!

Congratulations - and best of luck should you do the lottery!

Good morning, MMC!

Overcast morning and the birds are very quiet. Supposed to be storms coming today - I hope they aren't severe! Getting ready to head out to the Amish store. There are a few other shops I am going to browse for store stock - should be a fun day.

Have a great day!!!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC !

It is the first day of summer...well at 1:15 pm my time it is. One would not know it from the temperatures around here!

I am quite sure it will soon get hot, but for now we have rain in the forecast for the rest of the week.

Have a fantastic day everyone!!! cheesy

I am not a big fan of summer (do not like the heat) but I do look forward to camping, harvesting from my mini garden, long walks in the woods, fresh fruits and.....
half way to Christmas!!!!

Now to get my son out behind the lawn mower!
