Its been a glorious day here in the UK, have managed to get lots of washing dry!
Only 4 weeks until the children finish school for the summer - I cant believe how quickly it has come round. I've just started to buy the uniform for September when we will be pretty much in autumn!

Just scored BIGTIME at Hallmark!!! All of last year's leftover ornaments were - get this - 99 cents!!!!!!!!!!!!

I even got one I was looking at last year but was too cheap! (The "Where the Wild Things Are" one with Max and the sailboat - it's my husband and Jude's favorite book!!) I am sooo excited! So go check your Hallmark! Mine was getting prepared for the ornament premiere so they were desperate to get rid of 'em!

hi gang,

those of you that read my post regarding my aunt... i'm afraid our prayers weren't answered this time. my beautiful aunt was taken from us last night. i'm in a state of shock, it came from nowhere, she had a stroke and left us within hours. her health good and she was very active and busy (she had a bypass may years ago but we still never dreamed this could happen)

my cousins are just desperately losing hope, they feel they can't cope without their mum, we all feel that way actually, she was the one everyone turned to in times of need. she was too young for this to happen to her.

i feel so angry, why did it have to be her? why weren't my prayers answered??? i know i'll never understand until i'm no longer here, but at this moment i'm angry and feel like i need answers.

thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers. i'm trying to stay hopeful and positive and be strong as i believe everything happens for a reason, i just wish i knew what that reason was.

I am so sorry... please stay strong.. we are all here for you xoxo

Good evening friends!
Wanted to pop in to say hello. How's everyones summer going so far? Mine has been kinda blah with all the rain and flooding in certain areas. Our local rodeo was cancelled due to flooding at the arena. But the parade went on and it was fun to watch and also check out all the vendors. I haven't planted many flowers this year either. Hard to get into it all when the weather hasn't cooperated. Work keeps me busy and I hope to squeeze in some camping before the season is over with. Can't hardly believe we are only 182 days away from Christmas. Where has the time gone? Have a great night!cheesy

Missed my MMC family over the weekend... still trying to catch up on all of these posts cheesy. Had a busy weekend... went to the Orioles game Friday night (they won in 12 innings)..didnt make it the whole game of course because of the kiddies... had a wedding Saturday during the day into the evening and lots of cleaning/laundry yesterday. So happy to be OVER 1/2 way to Christmas now! Hope everyone is doing well...

You have no idea how many people say that to me. Most of the time I love them but some days (like today, especially), they make me pull my hair out!!!

I was in Hallmark last week and last year's ornaments were half off...I wonder if the 99¢ is for all stores now?!?

We sent our 2010 ornaments back a few months ago...these must be bigger Hallmark stores...that's a fantastic deal!

Having a bit of a rough day today (and Travis too, plus two of our best friends as well). Hoping to go out for hibachi and just let loose for a little while, but that may not happen. I just wish my jobs would sometimes go a little smoother...I will just chalk this up to being a typical Monday, but I'm hoping the down feeling I'm feeling right now will go away tomorrow. Yes, I did enjoy the scrapbooking series. I bought several. I really like them because I do scrapbooking, so I understand when she gives ideas. Love them! Thanks for the recommendations. I am also looking into the Orchard Mysteries. The first one sounds very interesting!!! Death by septic tank??

I am putting away some plastic shopping bags from some of the shopping we did this weekend. One of the bags is from Sears and on the outside of it reads:

"SEARS be the Santa you want to be".

Yay! Buy something in June and that is what's on the bag! cheesy

I tried the Veal Chops Stuffed with Gorganzola and Walnuts recipe, but I used chicken breasts instead of veal. I also tried the mango salsa. I also have some pumpkin soup in the freezer.
