Christmas Countdown - 2011

The heat has moved into the west coast now.. started to warm up today.. should be in the 90's by the weekend.. you may all think i am nuts but I say.. FINALLY!! ALL of July was Cloud, rain & 50 degree weather!!! (but I must admit I do kinda miss the cloudiness).

I am absolutely beat today.. and i am not sure why..

My brother will be so happy, he called me from Abbotsford the other day complaining about being chilly and wet. Told him we should switch weather for awhile!

Good evening, everyone. My last physical therapy was today, so I am sort of happy. With all the moving I must do with my classroom, it really cut into my day, especially when I was on a roll! Hope everyone has a great evening and a great early morning! Off to watch TV.

So glad you are recovering well! Working with kids one needs to be able to move freely...and quickly!

Well I just printed out my photo cards for the 6 photo ones I am sending out this year. I might do more but those are it for now. Yes I have already started getting my cards setup and ready to have address labels and stamps slipped on them and mailed out as soon as I get the list for this year. I won't have too much time once I get cleared to go back to work, so getting it all set up now. I am currently readying my house for my surgery at the end of the month. We are getting supplies in here and the bedroom ready from when I come home after the surgery itself. Yea that will be a job for sure, LOL.

I hope everyone is having a great week and hope that this month is a great one for all of you. I just hope the HEAT goes soon because I am tired of being a sweatball. LOL!!!!!!

every year I am determined to get started early with all this....

It's insane and scary to get this hot. We already had several heat related deaths in our area. The poor kids are getting cabin fever, even in the morning it's just way too hot to play outside.

What I can't believe is that you will still see people at 2 and 3 in the afternoon out jogging! I even see this one guy wearing full long sleeved sweats with his hoodie on almost everyday!

By the way, xmas35, I am loving your signature!

It is sad, I read here yesterday in the area that 2 teens died during football practice. My 16 year old son has had his marching band practice cutback because of the intense heat. So I am happy about that.

Good friday morning MMC!!!

Well it feels like it has been such a long week, trying to think of ways to keep the girls entertained, to think I have another 4 week of it until they are back at school!!!

Am looking forward to tonight, Im going out with everyone from work for a leaving do for one of the ladies that works with us!

Started browsing websites last night looking at what different toys my girls would like for xmas!! It was really exciting hehe!! Made me feel all christmassy! I think its great how that feeling can lift your spirits no matter how down or tierd your feeling!!!

when my kids where small we went on lots of day trips in the summer...to the local park, pool, library a ride on the city bus, picnics anywhere there was a good playground. Baked cookies (always make a double batch of dough so at least one batch worth gets baked!), cleaning the kitchen after that is done. We worked together in what we called a garden...with kids one is always happy when we get to harvest anything, but they have fun and hopefully learn something!

We have started into the back to school commercials here, but as soon as that is done the Christmas stuff will start!!!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to stop work on the deck yesterday to get the grass cut. My son usually does this, but my brother borrowed my mower and hadn't yet returned it. I had to borrow my mom's mower. It's one of those zero-turn mowers that drive sort of like a tank. Anyway, I didn't trust anyone else to run it. Boy, that thing is fast!

I have to work at the store this weekend. Bernie is heading to the coast to go fishing. Lucky him!

Good Morning, Christmas family


I am sitting here actually listening to Christmas music !! I made a tape many years ago of Renaissance Christmas music which I just love........lots of recorders, lutes, and period instruments. Of course it is not the carols of our day ......it is the music of the 16th century and some even in the 15th century.......It is simple but beautiful. I still love all the Christmas music of our age too !!

I must be odd though. Because even though I LOVE listening to my Christmas music I get sad because most of the people I once share Christmas with are gone.....particularly my mother and my first husband David. David LOVED the renaissance music. Maybe that is where I got it.

Afternoon shift went so much better !! I made many more than the required lines and when 11 p.m. EST came, I was done !!

Wishbone is now on an additional medication because now the doc is not so sure it is a brain tumor. He is wondering now if it is a heart problem. So Wish is on a very slight dose of a drug called benazepril. He seems to be tolerating it well, still my Wish.

My sister is FINALLY coming tomorrow (I hope !) so we can go to Hallmark and see the ornaments together !! Wes has had a rough time a little bit though. He has an infection which he is on antibiotics for and the swelling is not going down as fast as the doctor would like but I know if he were not okay my sister would not be coming here tomorrow.

I am off today and tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend Christmas family !!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It is a humid morning here in central Indy. They are projecting a high of 89 today but I hope we hit 90 so we can set a new record. We also have a chance of storms this afternoon!!!! We could really use the rain. I have to go babysit today so it's a good thing I got a good nights sleep.
