Well, it's taken me long enough for my first post. I have been a member for a while. I am an electrical contractor. I have been very busy with business this year, so I haven't had much time to post. I obviously am a Christmas lunatic. I love to put up big Christmas light displays. I had an article published in the local newspaper one year about my experience getting to decorate a house on "THE" Christmas street in my hometown. My author pen name was The Crazy, Chronic, Christmasaholic. You won't ever find an artificial tree in my living room. I listen to Christmas music everyday. My work is very stressfull (estimating, running the office)and Christmas music soothes me. I also write songs. I have only written one Christmas song, but I intend to write more if I can ever find the time. My greatest blessing in life is my wife and 4 kids. I think there are two kinds of people in this world; snowday people and not-snowday people. I'm definitely a snowday person. Maybe I'll post what that means later. I'd rather see if there are others out there that understand that before I reveal what it is.
I love Jesus and we celebrate Him at Christmas, but I also love all the other things about Christmas. I love the lights, music, movies, and I even love all the shopping and commercial aspects of Christmas. A movie that has become a classic to me is "Jingle All the Way." It's about crass, Christmas commercialism and I love it because I've pretty much lived it.
I guess I ought to stop. I can get kind of long winded. But, I have seen where you tell people after their first post to tell you more about themselves, so I wanted to be sure and tell you enough so you'd know I definitely belong in a place for Crazy, Chronic, Christmasaholics.
