Christmas Countdown - 2011

Argh - I keep getting too far behind to catch up!! I do at least get to post usually at least once a day, but I feel like I'm probably missing out on a TON of fun by not going back and reading it all!

Today was a little different at work. I had to go in early, early this morning bc I had the unfortunate job of firing someone this morning - boo! I so hate that part of the job! But at least since I did go in so early, I got done with work way earlier than usual too. So DD and I got a bite to eat and then went grocery store. We tried this crazy idea of actually planning our meals and shopping list BEFORE we went to the store cheesy What a concept!! lol! So, even though we spent a little bit more on groceries, we should save a bunch of money on not eating out every meal.

Anyways, I'll be trying to get some rest tomorrow and hoping to sneak away for a bit for a massage and pedi. I put in just at 60 hours this week at work and feel like I could use the rest. I have a particular Christmas cd that I find to be so relaxing and I want to ask them to play that instead of their usual music. I wonder if A) they will comply? and B) how crazy they will think I am?!?! I guess we'll see cheesy

Alright, gonna go watch a movie with the hubster and get some rest. Have a good night!!

Exhaustion reigns supreme tonight, lots of yardwork done today. I stopped at a tag sale today because they had a lot of Christmas decorations, I did not buy any, I liked a 3 ft Santa but they wanted $20 for it, I felt it was a little steep for a second hand item. I finally met my neighbors for the first time today after living here for almost 3 years, nice people, just me being Johnny Introvert as usual. Stop & Shop was setting up their Halloween candy today, but they had all their Thanksgiving/Harvest decor all out. Christmas can't be much farther behind. cheesy

Well, I'm going through a proxy site, but I gotta figure out how to get this fixed. I'm trying to figure out how this happened! But at least I have a way I can get here for now....is going through a proxy site dangerous?

Check your router, try hooking directly to your ethernet cable to be sure. That was the only way I was able to get here when I was having a hard time getting here.

Coach.......as far as I can tell, going through a proxy site is not dangerous. The trouble is, the proxy site I was using quit working too !! I tried different browsers and finally downloaded Opera...........Opera is the only one that works for me AND there is a setting to turn on "Opera turbo" which I had to enable in order for it to work !! without the turbo setting, I can't connect......Hope you get back soon !!

Just got in from the Eagle Scout Court of Honor. What a beautiful ceremony! In our small town of about 6,000, we had five Eagle Scouts! Hubby and I were honored to be invited! Everyone was invited for refreshments which was really a meal--very delicious! No cooking for me today since my daughter's MIL invited us for brunch when we took all those supplies to my daughter. Man, I am TIRED! Have to get up early so I can try to finish unpacking my classroom. Made, hope you had a good time tonight with us!!! You made it just in time!

Well it has been a crazy night here in central Indy. We had a small but strong line of storms move through about 9pm. I was sitting outside with my neighbors and we rushed inside because the wind blew a couple of branches off a tree near us. At the Indiana state fair the wind blew down the roof and all of the rigging at the concert stage. There was no one on the stage at the time but it killed 4 people in front of the stage and another 24 were transported to the hospital. It also sounds like the hospitals are dealing with alot of walking wounded that are coming in on their own. They have called in Indiana 1 search and rescue to go over the wreckage to make sure everyone is out now. I'm praying they don't find anyone else.

I finally met my neighbors for the first time today after living here for almost 3 years, nice people, just me being Johnny Introvert as usual. .

In the end, introvert people are usually appreciated, because they usually are a reliable kind of people, and we need all kinds of people! don't feel bad about being introvert!

Don't feel bad about missing it! I used to feel bad, but i realized i only missed it because i was too busy and you can catch up whenever you do have time! We will be here!

well.. Bath & Body works DO have their Halloween Stuff out!!!!!!!!!! Not all of it.. but some. I picked up some DELICIOUS smelling candles, one smells like cupcakes and the other spiced cider.. Their containers are so cute, the spiced cider is green and has a spider witha spider web and the cupcake is all purple with a black shiny girlish skull on it!! I always picked up a wallflower that glows in the dark and its a skull haha.. I LOVED the pumpkin patch candle, so I got the bulb of it for the wallflower!! I'm not sure if the woman said more was coming out or not.. but Man does it ever make me excited for autumn!!
Speaking of not only did they have their halloween stuff out but they put new fall type wallflowers out, like an owl, leaves etc... Oh I can't wait for their christmas collection!!!!:???:/QUOTE]

I am feeling lots and lots better! thank you! I even got to drink some coffee this morning!

It has been a very busy day and I am still not done putting groceries away. I went coupon shopping at Kroger's and saved over 62 percent on items I needed - I love that store!

Wow that is a lot of reduction! we don't really have coupons over here!

I slept in today - that was such a nice thing to do! Fur kids are taken care of and the house is nice and quiet right now. I can hear frogs peeping outside - what a lovely morning! I am enjoying the peace and quiet as I have to work this afternoon.
