Good morning! Can't wait to get home today to watch QVC! I can tell some of us already have been! Wonder who?

Looks like more rain for us today. Funny, we went from June until middle of August with no rain. In the past two weeks, we have been rained on around 10 of 14 days. Wish it would start snowing!

It is starting to storm here. Power has flickered a couple of times now. It's a pretty small storm though so it shouldn't last long.

We ended up with a few drops of rain and one heck of a light show - places north of us must have had quite a big storm!

I was listening to a local sports radio station here during my lunch today. They were talking about the Rangers and Red Sox game from the night before. Well the host of the show (Randy Galloway) made the comment that Marco Scutaro is a small guy but had a big hit during the game. He compared him in size to Brenda Lee. Well the younger co hosts of the show didn't know who Brenda Lee is, and one of them said that he just lost everybody under 70. Well I texted into the show that Brenda Lee sings Rockin Around The Christmas Tree. And when they came back from commercial they were playing that song and Galloway thanked me for texting that in. So I got a radio station to play a Christmas song in August, even if it was just a little bit of it.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't go on national tv and talk about videotaping my kids while they were sleeping. It just sounds a bit creepy. I can think of alot of other ways to show that the camera has nightvision.

Very windy here in Vermont, supposed to get rain later today.
I think I may just hang out at the house most of the day. Really tired of visiting all those store. My mom loves to shop and that is where she wants to go all the time. I however really want to go for a drive in the country, see a few of those famous covered bridges and even, finally get to Ben and Jerry's factory (I planned to go earlier, but mom wanted to go shopping and how do you argue with a 81 year old feisty old lady!! LOL)

And I get the feeling things will start to really move fast now, with September just around the corner and the 100-day Christmas mark barely over 3 weeks away, after which BOTH of our counts will be down to double digits!
Wow. Just Wow!

Still sunny here ahead of Irene with just a slight breeze and no rain predictions.
Currently, we stand at 75 degrees.

Hey! I think we set an attendence record at the Shispering Pines yesterday.
I could tell by all the posts that lots were planning on stopping by.
Good thing too for those lucky ones since Carl unexpectedly doubled the freebies to TWO Fired Twinkies/Twinklings and TWO glasses of Iced Tea/Questionable Coffee.
Anyway, a good time was had by all.

Good Milestone Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

2/3 of the way is behind us! Yippee!!

I was lazy again yesterday. I tried to jumpstart myself by going outside and cleaning up around my shop, but I got sidetracked looking at a few things I needed to finish on the deck. Then it was supper time. Then it was dark. I could get used to all this down time!

It's been my experience, though, that everytime I get a few afternoons off like this, the guacamole hits the fan for a week!
