oh my louann.....sorry ....keep me updated about Ivy!!!

Good afternoon, Christmas Family

Getting started working. Very worried. Our other small furchild, Ivy, our Chihuahua is in GREAT pain and is on her way to the vet. She is holding her left rear leg up when she walks and breathing really hard. I guess when they get old it is like when we get old. ANYTHING can happen in a moment's notice.

Wish is probably going to be having an EKG. The doc said that sometimes arrhythmias will show up on this even when they cannot be heard by the human ear. Before he can be switched to an antiarrhythmic medication, the doc needs to know what sort of arrhythmia it is. I never thought of that but it does make sense.

I hope all are well here. I have asthma right now but I think it is just from all the worry. This too shall pass xo

Have a good afternoon, Christmas family xoxo

Oh CM3, I hope all turns out OK with Wish & Ivy. I'll be thinking about them.

I am still 32 !! (with 24 years experience !:-D)

These have been to funny!!! I guess I remember 32 as well!!! Ha, Ha, HA!!! Makes me laugh to think I am no longer in my 30's goodness when did that happen, I know I know it happened when I wasn't looking (enjoying myself too much and they flew by)!!!!

watching a soccer national game now of Germany and Poland...it is a friendly game tho ....and Germany has easily qualified for the Euro-Championship...so the players can mostly concentrate on the league games

So, I have mentioned about this youth group I have. Well, collectively they all think I am a little touched/crazy or whatever they call it, but I know it gets to them when I tell them why I love each Holiday and what it could mean. So, as an assignment I have them researching the real story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, the way I figure it these kids never had a childhood, wouldn't it be nice to have them learn about this, I know they all rolled their eyes, where like I'm not doing this but as they do it with me at the group even if they are not actively participating they are hearing what is going on, learning about how the story changed from the original 1939 version to the 1947 song, to the 1964 cartoon. They are learning about a company that is no longer in business that had 128 years of doing business. I think by doing this they are going to learn so much about how the story evolved and how people evolved from the mind set of 1939 (still in a depression) to 1947 the post war era, and into the 1960's and the making of the cartoon. I know the story is for children in one respect and I know it is loved by adults as well but for some they were never taught the simple joy of Rudolph and to some they really only know the cartoon in passing & the song they have no idea about how it came to be the fable of how the story came to be the truth of the story and that the story itself is very different from the song and the cartoon. I had a heck of a time getting the original story it is highly guarded, who would have thunk it right!!! So, I will keep you all posted on how this project moves along!!!

Good evening or rather, good morning, Christmas family

Just unwinding after work here on MMC.

I just have this to say -Rats !!! to quote one of my favorites, Charlie Brown. I just found out that my very favorite band in the whole WORLD is coming to a city not 10 minutes away from me in October !!!! And I can't go !!! Third Day will be playing in Canton,OH. They may never be here again.......but no matter I can't make it. As we used to say in the '60s - BUMMER (maybe I could just kidnap them for a little while !! cheesy)

Such is life. Even though I dont get to see Third Day live :( my Wishie is here with me snuggled in my blankets at my feet peacefully sleeping and that is pretty dang wonderful xo

Have a good morning, Christmas family xo

Sorry you won't get to see Third Day, at least you have their music to listen to.

Morning!!! Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! Today, my grandmom's cousin's son (got that? lol!) is in from Las Vegas with his wife and twin 3 year old boys.. so we're going there to visit. Three 3 year olds and one 1 year old in one house... either great fun or mass chaos, ahhh!! Wish me luck!

Good luck, my sister was here with her 2 year old and 9 month old last month, have the aspirin, or wine ready when they fall asleep at night.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be another cool day here in central Indy. We are expecting a high in the mid 60's and a nice cool breeze. This is my kind of weather. I have a lot to do today. I have been slacking all weekend and my apartment is a mess. The nascar race is on at 11am though so I may end up being lazy for the next 5 hours again. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caught the end of the race - saw Gordon won. Who is your favorite, Made. I never did ask you...

I'm a Jr. fan - have been for years! :)

CM3 - So sorry to hear about Ivy. Just keep praying...it's the best thing to do. I will send a prayer your way as well! XO!

My brother in law was joking yesterday that he needed to call his back doctor and set up appointments for every week between the beginning of November and the end of December. He has all kinds of things wrong with his spine and moving all of those turkeys around kills him every year.

A few years ago I dropped a 20+lb turkey on top of my hand, talk about painful. The good thing about the turkeys is that my arms get better muscle tone, but the back pain is really bad.

Your furbabies are in my thoughts Louann.

Good afternoon, MMC family. I've had a busy day so far. I had go into work for a few hours and go over some things with my Nurse Manager. We got new computer charting not to long before I went off on maternity leave and now we're starting a new med system and it's starting tomorrow, so she needed to go over with me a little more. Also had my follow-up from my surgery and the doctor said everything looks great. He said I could go back to work on the 25th. I would rather not, but I don't have the choice...haha. The county fair was canceled tonight because of the rain. My husband is hoping that maybe the rain with hold off enough in the next day or two that we can still go, but it doesn't sound promising! Hope everyone is having a great day so far!

Good afternoon,

I did my honey-do list, I am holding off on one item until Thursday, which is my day off instead of Monday. KMart was setting up their Halloween candy, and the shelves were clear for decor, the Christmas/Lawn & Garden area is slowly emptying out the L&G merchandise was 70% off which means a few more weeks until the best stuff of all is out for us all to see. I can't wait! I got to go make homemade calzones for dinner, I will be back later on.

Enjoy your evening!
