Morning!!! Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! Today, my grandmom's cousin's son (got that? lol!) is in from Las Vegas with his wife and twin 3 year old boys.. so we're going there to visit. Three 3 year olds and one 1 year old in one house... either great fun or mass chaos, ahhh!! Wish me luck!

Good Tuesday morning to everyone! Pinesday tomorrow!
Today it was a nice crisp 50 degrees outside. I was up a little after 5am. I work the early shift at work today. Its going to be low 60's this week. Yes. Fall has come a little early for us. I'm keeping an eye out on the tree across the street. Its the first one to change around my house when fall comes. Ill let you know when it starts to Not much new. We were moving some stuff around in the kitchen yesterday. My inlaws came over yesterday since my Wife and Son had the day off. They took William to McDonalds. He went nuts when he saw it. "DONALDS!" he said when they pulled up. He made a gasping noise too lol. He also said something about a Christmas tree the other day. Didn't make it all out hah. Pretty dead this morning at my work. For the first time in a long time (since last spring) I get to wear my hooded sweatshirt!! Wee. I have several of them and love them. They are so comfortable and warm. Well back to work? LOL. Work...what work?! Im just surfing and waiting for a call. Have a great day all!

Now, I am unemployed. An unemployed teacher, at that! I guess that means I am bound to return to school - just not yet. We'll see how long it takes to get on the Supply List!

Ah well. Job searching will resume in the morning.

I just have this to say -Rats !!! to quote one of my favorites, Charlie Brown. I just found out that my very favorite band in the whole WORLD is coming to a city not 10 minutes away from me in October !!!! And I can't go !!! Third Day will be playing in Canton,OH. They may never be here again.......but no matter I can't make it

I really like Third Day, too. I think my favorite right now is Casting Crowns, though. Sorry you can't go see them. :-?

Good Mon...er, I mean, Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm still not rested up from the long weekend. It seems like I always get up earlier on holidays to go travelling or hunting or something. I'm not complaining! I had a great weekend of hunting, and birthday-partying, but I'm ready for things to settle down. And they're not going to for a few days.

My mother-in-law is having back surgery tomorrow, and my mother is leaving for Hawaii on Thursday. So, things are still going to be a little out of sorts.

And to top it off, I shaved off my beard this morning. LOL I don't know what got into me. It was just getting too gray for my taste. I walked into Bernie's store this morning to get breakfast and the first person I ran into said how much younger I looked....nice!

Why can't you see them? I am going to lecture you on this just like a few lectured me on going to see Paul McCartney when I said I couldn't go see him. :mrgreen: Guess what? After telling everyone, "I can't go see Paul" (my life long dream to see any of the Beatles) several people came forward and said, "yes you can"! Anyway, I DID make it to see him and so glad I did!

I really hope you get to see Third Day! You deserve it!!!!!!! Make it possible if you can!

Good Back-From-The-Coast-All-Is-Well Morning, to each and all.

Typical news media hyperbole.
We saw virtually no evidence of any storm at all, let alone a hurricane.
There was one church steeple leaning over.
Some limbs along the curb for pick-up.
Loose siding and shingles here and there, including at our place.
But no structural damage evident the entire length of the island.
That was certainly good news!

Onward with the count!

Gray, rainy, and cooler today, but still warm and sticky in the house. A four-day work week this week, then back to regular work weeks until Thanksgiving. Bleh, but it's nice to think of having Thanksgiving to look forward to in a little over two months.

On another note:

My mom and I were talking about the upcoming holidays on the phone today. We started talking about Thanksgiving. She asked my plans. To which, I answered that I will - more than likely - be near Boston playing in the USA Ultimate Northeast Regional championships.

Do you know just where? We're a little west of Boston.

The picture in your av shows no gray in the beard. You must not be as old as I am! I thought about getting some of that stuff that you comb in your beard, but it grows mine fast. My gray roots would be exposed! :lol:

I have grey coming in. The picture doesn't show it. I like the grey. I also have grey in my hair but I normally buzz it because its thin. I'm 32. But I am getting more and more grey. Doesn't bother me at all. It DID bother me when I was losing my hair but not anymore.

My turkey orders are set for Thanksgiving,

My brother in law was joking yesterday that he needed to call his back doctor and set up appointments for every week between the beginning of November and the end of December. He has all kinds of things wrong with his spine and moving all of those turkeys around kills him every year.
