I don't know if I'll get a chance to post tomorrow. My brother's girlfriend is having surgery tomorrow morning at Hilton Head Island, and I feel like I need to be there for them. She's pretty young, early 30's, and has breast cancer. I'm sure she'd appreciate a prayer sent her way!

Have a great evening, my Christmas friends! cheesy

My thoughts are with her.

19,000? Wow.....

30,000 is in danger of falling....

Just finishing my fall cleaning and putting out the rest of my decor -yahoo!

Going to start all this tomorrow. Looking foward to decorating for fall, but not the extreme cleaning that comes with it!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I must go make some lunch and hope to get a phone call for a job today or at least sometime this week!

Good luck with the job search!

My prayers are on the way.

Everyday I feel BETTER and better about retiring. You are right: I will miss it, but so much is ahead of me!!! Also, on another note: I LOVE lobster--it's my favorite!!

the life of a teacher...you will miss that when you retire! (well, maybe not the work part, but you will miss the kids!)

I laughed when I read this because they are so famous for their potatoes. Yes, it is one of their main crops, but they are also starting to become famous for their berries...the cranberries and strawberries becoming better known every year.
Lobster is the best ever! Of course that is not exactly a "crop" but sure is good to eat!

Evening all!

Bad Friday at work. Good Saturday and Sunday. Back on Monday! Sheesh. heh. Oh well. Not much new with us. We need to replace the front steps on our deck. That will be done this weekend. We purchased a new mattress! That's coming this Sunday. Can't wait. Well back to work I go. Just checking in and saying hi. I'm having an interview for a job. Please throw prayers my way, I need a break! Thanks all!

I hope you get the new job! Saying a prayer for you now!

I am going to contact some textbook publishers about editing for them or being a presenter for their products. Plus, I can sub for teachers for always, unless I am dead!!! I also want to do scrapbooking for projects to sell! Let's see, is there anything else?

WOW Seawaters that is awesome and yet I can see a scary decision that you made!!! But I have to say good for you!!! I haven't read all the posts I am catching up from Friday!!! (Whew a lot of work!!!) So hopefully this isn't a repeated question, what are your plans for after you are retired? I'll go through all the posts and read, but I must say if your husband is happy that is a great start!

Yes, yes, Lauriebear. You are ALSO right!!!!

Even though they are further North then Long Island I will venture to say Potatoes as that was Long Islands number one crop we have the perfect environment for them, although they are a hardy veggie, but I will stick to that???:-o Am I right teacher... OOOOOOOO please pick me, pick me!!!!!

Lauriebear---Please tell me that you are on the gift exchange and that you you have my name and that I get Nana's vodka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One other thing my Nana's homemade vodka!!! WOW, now you wanna talk about some Mid-western moon shine!!!! Wooo Hooo!!! Knock your socks off and I am NOT kidding!!! Tee Hee...

When I was younger (and maybe not soooo sweet) I would "challange" some to a drinking match, let's say if you didn't grow up on it - you couldn't do many!!! Tee Hee!!!!

Now what tournament is that?? Chess???

We had a tournament in Rochester, New York on Saturday and Sunday.

Overall, the tournament was fun. Somewhat of a success - enough that we qualified to go to Boston next month and play in the Northeast Regionals. It should be a fun time!

Although it is September, the weather is still beautiful! The sun is shining today. Some leaves are falling, but most are still very green. I guess that may change within the next few weeks. I'll be sure to take some photos as soon as the colour changes.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I must go make some lunch and hope to get a phone call for a job today or at least sometime this week!

I love New London and Groton. Spent some teenage summers there. Friendly's Ice Cream had the cutest guys!!!

We are going to take the Ferry to New London CT and drive the rest of the way, it is estimated as a 7 hour drive from that point, I just LOVE car trips and haven't had one in a very long time!
