I can re-post if necessary, but it's in your hands!

Good morning! Happy Pines Day! Wet your Whistle Wednesday! Hump Day! Whatever you want to call it! It's rainy in Ohio again, so I'm heading to the pines! Crown, can you come out & play today or should I drink your cup of tea?

lauriebear - I would love that recipe w/ the cake/apples/apple butter. Sounds delish! I just bought some baking apples & I'm making spicy cabbage soup for the neighbors at the lake Friday night! AND I have a new convection oven I haven't even tried out yet! Apple cake for dessert? Mmmm

Make it a great day everyone!

I took my grandson to his first Cub Scout meeting and he had a blast!

He had brought home papers from school a few weeks ago to join and I had no idea that it was the members of my church and my pastor who are the leaders. They meet up at my church for meetings and it's good to know that I already know everyone there!

My daughter and son in law had to go sign papers on their house they are moving into so they were unable to attend but will be there next time around. I just might go again as well, I enjoyed it as much as my grandson did! You were right, Made, about being a great group to join!

I will be back on here tomorrow, time for bed. Goodnight!
I was a Cub Scout, too, and loved it! I still have my uniform!

I am planning a trip after the 13th of october..Im thinking around Novemember 2 if it is not too late to see the leaves change up in Extreme north Ga in Blairsville,or hiawassee,Ga Near the NC border...if anyone is famialiar with these areas in the Fall, will November 2nd be too late to view the briallant fall colours? Have a great day everyone!!
I'll be nearby that area in mid-October on a school trip with my son to Helen, GA. You should still be good with fall colors at that time.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had oyster stew last night and it was wonderful!! It's been so long since the season went out, then suddenly it's back! We have oysters-in-the-shell by the bushel-bag for sale in the store, too. Yum, yum!

We're going out to my mom's for supper tonight. She's cooking my favorite german dish, rouladen. It's the BEST! She does the whole german meal with red cabbage and potato balls.

I can't think about work today for thinking about what I've been eating or what I'm about to eat!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning,

Kids are at school, I am just waiting for the dew to dry up a bit more before I mow. I already visited Kmart this morning and they did not have any Christmas decorations at all yet. They had a few Christmas books, and pajamas but that was all. Just watching the recording of game 7 of the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup, gotta get psyched for next Thursday, 1st game of the new season. I can't wait!

Enjoy the day!

:yahoo:

I do the same thing when I know I am going to have a great meal. I wish I had some really hot and spicy Buffalo wings right now. cheesy

First Thank all for the warm welcome home! I slept sooo good last night, went to bed way early taped dancing with the stars...I never ever watch reality or really any tv but News...But i am trying to get into dancing with the stars and survivor...anyhow I taped it last night because we went to bed so early and I just went out on a quick run to the Minute Market and heard who got the Ax on the radio!!!! anyway I am pulling for Nancy Grace!(yes she is a former Ga Girl) I am going back to sleep I think after Brandi leaves for school...they are out tomorrow and friday for fall break, and it still feels like mid summer here...3 more days of humid sultry weather before A front comes through! the first big one of the season!
ALthough It was dry last summer and spring, with it being bone dry this summer and spring too was just too much for my treees the young maples and sycamores leaves are simply scorched and shriveling up and falling off...which means I will have to wait until late Novemeber to see my pear trees turn!
November 2 would be a little late for NC but hopefully you will still find plenty of color in north GA.

Bright and cooler today. Stopped at Jo Ann Fabrics for some pink yarn last night (Mr.'s cousin had a baby girl, so it's time to crochet a baby afghan) and saw a few Christmas items tucked away in an aisle beyond the Halloween/fall items. (No photos, though ... I have a "dumb phone.")

Good morning everyone. I have my TD final interview today. Ill let you all know how it goes!!! Back to work I go. Hope you all have a great day.

Good luck! Keep us posted!

Good Hump Day Morning, Folks.

Well, we didn't get to go to the coast but at least I won't miss today's 'Pines open house!

To the count:
Days to the Season: 46
Days to Christmas Day: 88
SINGLE DIGITS now to the 90 percent home stretch Season mark! (And that's the same as 9 days, Yogi.)

Well, it's clearer here this morning. We are at 73 degrees currently under sunny skies.

Allrighty!
Carl and company are ready for everyone.
Holiday(?) and I will see you there for Fired Twinkies/Twinklings, Sweet Southern Iced Tea, or.....yes.....even coffee (if you are of a mind.)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

What's "the pines"?

I'll be nearby that area in mid-October on a school trip with my son to Helen, GA. You should still be good with fall colors at that time.
Oh! Helen GA is amazing! I love it. The food there is spectacular.

Good Morning Everyone! Sorry you didn't get to make your trip, Crown, but it's good to see your cheerful post. Everyone here at work has a cold but me. I guess I know what I'll be doing next week, unless I get very lucky. At least the weather is supposed to be getting a little cooler soon. I'm looking forward to those crisp fall days, and hoping they get here soon.

By the way, I keep meaning to say to xmas 365 that I love your avatar. Besides being a Christmas nut, I'm also a Halloween nut.
