Hello everyone, I haven't been on much lately, so sorry if I missed any big news. Of course if there was anything real big, my wife would have told me. Well after squeezing in one more 100 degree day, and some really scary lightning last night, we are only going to be in the 80s!!! YAY!!!! That's fall temps in Texas, folks. :wink:

I have missed a few days myself so I am not sure if you missed any big news on those days BUT...... I made sure to tell you the biggest news of all.

Bradmac still has his Cub Scout uniform and some pointy ears to wear while he is being sworn in as mayor.

Oh yeah and Gabulldawg is home!

Good morning everyone! I went back and forth all day yesterday and finally decided the fly out today to Tx to be with my family and sis...they are doing more tests at 1pm today and I spoke with her nurse overnight who said she did good overnight.Me and brandi had a long weekend anyway. I will check in here and there this weekend.

IT is actually very nice outside here today and Sunday night we will be down in the 40's! maybe that will promote some leaf change.Have a good last day of September and first weekend of October!

I'm sure that your sister appreciates your company. All the best to her and your family.

The Sox's 7/20 September had a lot to do with wtf happened. The story of last night's game is here. We were ahead until the ninth, then they started hitting off of Pap---two doubles and a single. We lost + the Rays won = end of season. It's gonna be a long October in New England ...

It's become quite a beautiful and sentimental tradition that we all look forward to each year in the final days before the start of the Christmas Season.
(Gets me a bit misty-eyed just thinking about it.)

Hi MMC family! I worked 7-3:30 today. Ugh...not my thing. Since I was off for so long, they wanted me to work on the computer system for a few hours on the maternity department. I did that, plus worked on the Medical-Surgical unit. That part of the hospital was very busy. So...I am tired needless to say. I am also very tired because I've really only got 9 hours of sleep in the past 36 hours or so. Hopefully I can at least get 5 to 6 hours tonight. We'll see. I will get caught up on here tomorrow. Just wanted to check in. I did see people posting on here about praying for Ella. I appreciate it greatly. Well...off to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow!

My shoulder surgery is scheduled for October 20, with several appointments during the week before.

Exciting weather report in the UK today - this weekend we are going to experience the hottest October EVER!

Temps around 24 where I am in the North West upwards to 29 in the south! We haven't had weather like this all year!

And to follow it up snow is suppose to arrive towards the end of October!!!!!!!!! Strange weather but at least we can get out to the park a bit more before winter finally sets in.

We finally have a sunny day here!!! Woooo Hooo but it will be about 80, but the humidity is suppose to go away and this weekend!!!! 60's!!!!

My Stepdaughter has moved away to the university and now we started to renovate the apartment and pack so we can move too in December
A lot of Work..
And we are still not sure where we will move. Only THAT we will move.

Apparently the Pirates aren't in the playoffs after all, so I will NOT be rooting for them in the postseason. =p I guess I will just root for the...hmm...I guess the Phillies? Or the Tigers? This is hard when I don't have anything invested in any of the teams! /sports rant

What an adventure yesterday. I got out of work early. My battery light had been going on, on my van. Its either the battery or alternator. I have been told that the alternator would be going soon. I called my mechanic. He said yes its going. Drive it directly to my place, unless you need gas because its just running off battery power now. I pull into the shell gas station. Put gas in. Van wouldn't start. Alternator died. So I pushed it around the corner (no no, nobody helped me push it!!). I was going to call my mechanic but I left the card on my table at home. So I got a phone book and found him. A to B towing came out and brought me there. He went to replace the alternator. Well....it was the larger one that's harder to get. Yay me. haha. So he FOUND one but it was going to be shipped from Toronto. No thanks. He found another one that had a lifetime warranty and was cheaper. Yes please. Had that all fixed and now its working like a charm! No more alternator noise as well. And I also saw lots of Christmas stuff at Canadian Tire! I posted pictures in the Christmas Blossoms page. Walmart didn't really have anything out but I could see skids of it. Well back to work I go! Hope everyone is ready for some WEEEEEEKEENNNDDD!!!!

1st YES I am SOOO ready for the Weekend, because of my vacation I am late on my Halloween set-up and the neighborhood little ones have let me know too!!!

A nasty thunderstorm yesterday evening, but today it's sunny and warm and clear---wish I could have the hot dog lunch al fresco at the local Dairy Queen, but I'm here at my desk, as usual. The weekend is supposed to be gray, cool, and wet, so I may be missing my last chance to enjoy a little of summer's end.

The only sports we follow in Carey House is baseball, so once the Red Sox are done, we reach for the DVDs instead of NESN. That's okay, 'cause it gives us more time to get ready for Christmas!

Unfortunately no, The guy that is supposed to replace me is pretty well trained, just a few things he needs to get down, but he is coming along nicely. My supervisor has requested that they wait 6 months before they move me, to make sure the new guy is gonna stay, I wanted to strangle her. But that doesn't mean they will do that, his 90 days is up in November, so I am hoping it will happen then. Thank you very much for asking.

Looking forward to what should be a great weekend. Forecast is for snow flurries above 4000 ft tomorrow, (our house is at 3000 ft). We saw a bear cub near our house yesterday around dusk. We never saw the mom but we know she is around. We will have to keep an eye out when going outside. Moma bears can get aggressive when cubs are around.
